Subway in Glasgow City

The churro was stone cold and soggy. Didn’t tick for jalapeños and got them.

Ripoff unexperienced staff cant understand english. Check last 50% of reviews of this place in the last 12 months. ( New Owner ) Used to go here often was ok but recently the staff have been changed new staff are unexperienced very slow and dont understand instructions. I ordered a footlong sub, which they messed up when cutting and started arguing with me when i told them i what a new bread not broken apart. Then when at checkout i asked to pack seperately as usually do this makes it easier to eat i the car ( less messy), they refused again and said they need to charge me for 2 ive had this done many times in the past and they didnt offer a cookie part of the meal deal. Shocking a bread stick costs subways 3p and some branded paper another couple pens total under 15p, worst customer service ever. New owner must be very stingy. Added after Owners reply ( Owner Ibrahim removed his reply ) ----------------------------- Reply to Owner. Last 12 months reviews make alot of sense The staff working now seemed to be foreign students assuming this based on them not being able to understand simple english ( Cheaper labour ) they seem to be doing more that 20 hours a week which is again the law last time i checked. Last time i came was a month back 70% of staff were different then ( older ladies ), From 3 month back i have noticed the older staff charging extra for multiple sauces on the sandwich, So again i was right, ripp off, bad customer service. The most a sub can cost you is £1.50 that if you get steak so dont understand your reply as subway gives you one of the best margins in the food industry. The lady said shell charge me for 2 subs didnt mention 2 6 inch subs. Had it done from this store over 10 times in the last 12 months. Wasn't ever mentioned before.

I always get from here never had an issue but today was really bad .... the chicken was really chewy , not a lot of sauce and it wasn't toasted the bread was soggy and wasn't cut properly and all ripped when picking it up really disappointed today couldn't eat my food 😢

It was just the sub everything else was ok, I always get this and it’s always better but the meat in the sub didn’t taste as good quality and as fresh, the meat tasted it had been sitting for a while

Definitely the worst subway I’ve been to. Been several times over the years and every time I use this one when travelling, it’s always the same experience. Order is usually always wrong and rubbish portions.

subs were a soggy and the waffle fries were cold and soggy not crisp like they are supposed to be, so ended up in bin. complete waste of money. however the kids enjoyed the cookies.

Had an absolutely terrible experience, the woman added random charges onto every meal ( we were ordering 4) and could not explain to us why it was charged so much extra , when we asked about why the price was so much higher she rolled her eyes and was just plain rude , poor hygiene in this store also , we ended up just leaving as we were treated so badly she started to shout at us saying we could not leave, she had not even made the sandwiches at this point.

Went to subway Darnley and kind of wish I hadn’t bothered. The girl that was serving me sneezed and didn’t bother washing her hands before touching my food. Went on to make my sub and once it was made she started serving the person behind me rather than completing my order.

3rd recent experience of having dried out bread - definitely not fresh - very disappointing. Will not be returning to this branch.

This place has went downhill since the owners have changed. Chicken was stinking!!!! God knows how long it's been sitting out!! Won't be returning

Currently still waiting for my order to be delivered. On the delivery app it says the restaurant is still prepping my food 1 hour later.

Ordered my food at 12:45 and it didn’t get delivered until 14:40! After being told that it would be delivered in 25-30 mins. This wasn’t the case! I called subway store at 13:50 to see where my food was after she answered the phone she asked if I could give her 2 mins while she went & checked my order. After 10 mins for waiting on the call they hung up. Once my food finally arrived at 14:40, not only did it arrive cold but it also had the wrong items on the sub! Absolutely disgrace

I used to die for this place until the staff changed. The staff are all women (which isn't a problem) but some don't understand English well so I find it hard to order my sandwich now

Yet another visit to a Subway, and this is my 'regular' as it's so easy to get to by car. And, yet again, it was new staff. I'm not sure I've ever seen the same people here twice! They were new, and so were some of the menu items, which slowed them down a little as they'd not learned them yet. Pleasant people though, and all went well. I had enough points to get one meal free as well - which is always a nice bonus. (However... Writing this the next morning both my wife and I have very dodgy stomachs. We both had Marinara sauce, while the others that had different food are all fine. I'm suspicious of this!)

i came in today to meet a friend for lunch. You know what you are getting as the food - like most fast food places - is the same in every store. I come here a couple of times a year and the staff are always different, but the rest is static. This store has a few tables and booths to eat in so we sat and chatted for a few hours which was nice. Presumably if more people had wanted to stay in and eat we might have been moved on, but, as it was we had a fairly pleasant stay.

Excellent customer service from the subway staff. Went out their way to ensure we received our food after a mix up through Just eat. Not many restaurants have staff who would deliver items to u after just eat missed them but these guys did. Thanks

I am so disappointed Subway has withdrawn its meatless meatball marinara. There are now even fewer vegetarian options but my main complaint is that I can't order a vegetarian meal deal. There is NO option. Instead of ordering from you I now tend to avoid Subway because my meal with the same choice is obviously more expensive than a meal deal! The non vegetarians in the family are more than happy with the available options.

Terrible customer service. Seemed like my showing up was an inconvenience. Do yourself a favour and just go to McDonalds. At least you can order without talking to the foetuses employed behind the counter these days.

The food in Subway restaurants is pretty much the same - and always good. The only variables being the location and the service. This has reasonable seating and pleasant staff - two nice chaps this time, rather than the grouchy lady that used to be there a while ago. I'll be back! Just short of £10 for a meal deal and a wrap. Costs have gone up, but it is still not bad.

Worst experience I have had due to this new staff member. Absolutely disgusted by his attitude. This asian boy wore glasses and a cap and I will never forget the way he was acting. Asked for a chicken sub and then he started to scrape all the chicken pieces off until there was hardly anything on the sub! Talk about being stingy, this guy was over the top like he gets commissions for every chicken piece he keeps. Then he continues to be rude by pretending he cant hear me. Defos will not be back if he continues to work there.

So bad coustomer services, charged for a donut in kids meal extra pound and can't give me donut, how coustomer can visit again

Well deserved 5 star, the owner took the order of my food and the staff were making it but must of had some sort of miscommunication, but I didn't get what I ordered, the owner then made me a fresh batch to keep me happy, you have got a customer for life.

I’m not normally one for leaving a review but I just wanted to say that Awas (working at 5.30pm 22/10/20 ......was absolutely brilliant when I was struggling to decide an order and guided me through all the options. He really is an asset to your business and cannot speak highly enough about his work ethic and manner. Very helpful indeed

Delicious. Had meatball marinara on toasted Italian bread with cheese ,red onion,lettuce,tomato and hot chilli sauce. Plenty filling nice and hot.

This particular subway store is bigger than most and has halal options available in it which can be handy for many people. Free parking is available for people that are driving to the Subway which is handily very close to motorway junctions for the M8 and M77. Very friendly and attentive staff when we have visited.

Great coz it is the only reliable Halal restaurant in Darnley. All meat sold here is certified by the IFI - the Irish equivalent of the UK's HMC. All Subway restaurants that opt to be halal outlets are certified like this. Also, friendly staff and clean surroundings. I was about to travel on the motorway, so they even foil-wrapped my food to keep it warm to eat later, at no extra cost. Would definitely go there regularly.

Most Subways are pretty much the same, and this holds no surprises. Good, fresh, food and decent service. worth a visit. I'd built up a lot of points and used them today. It is nice that loyalty is rewarded!

Just came back the second time having to use my card because they 'thought' my note was fake. Sainsburys said it was perfectly fine using their machine. Please either educate your staff or invest in a UV machine. EDIT: They've got the pen to check fake notes!

Usually very quiet so you can get in and out quick. Staff is very hit and miss though. Of the 4 or 5 times I've been in to this branch I've had to correct them before they made the wrong sandwich on most occasions.
