Subway in Plymouth

Absolute joke here, I stopped in with my family for a quick lunch, after spending the better part of £40 we sat down, as I went to get out drinks a seagull flew down and snatched the sandwich out of my wife's hand, ( we were say INSIDE ) as I went back to explain and get a replacement the woman serving just shrugged and said " that's what the signs are for" the signs say DO NOT LEAVE FOOD UNATTENDED.. the food wasn't left UNATTENDED it was taken out of my wife's hand.. since then I have noticed seagull and pigeons walking round inside and sitting at the tables, I am sure this is a health violation and I will be in contact with the council EHO.

Don't get a delivery, 4 times out of 5 completely wrong.

The sub was pricey. The woman was moody and not very helpful. It is filthy in here.It is very disappointing. Awful service

I'm going to report you to the health department because establishments that provide food must have a bathroom for customers, especially for washing their hands. For more than 3 months, you've been saying that the bathroom is broken so you don't have to clean it, in addition to making very poor quality snacks.

Yesterday Friday 17 of May I went to Ground floor 7 derrys Cross PL1 2SG As soon I arrive to the store I ask to some young blond woman (long hair) about 19.30 pm in the counter if I can go to the bathroom first before order some food and she responded very arrogant and rude way that the bathroom was broken that I should better go to Macdonals for a meal and for the bathroom too . I just responded to her ohhh thanks for the information but then Macdonals will get my money instead and I leave the restaurant. I believe that this young lady need to learn what costumer service is ..because she have no clue of what it is ...I been working in hospitality for more than 25 years and in different country's and always the basis of costumer service ITS THE SAME PRINCIPLE. Ofcuorse I know the difference between subway and Macdonals if I choose to go subway its because its more healthy food ...shame that this young girl was not in disposition to work. Food was cold almost immediately, service unfriendly and refused use of toilet to pregnant woman and told to go nextdoor.

Nice place friendly staff was giving drinks very quick if u buy a drink you get a free cookie great deal .hada sit down and a rest when it was raining .

There was this absolutely wonderful staff lady, how allowed me to take my time, she was extremely kind and listened to me. I really liked her 🤗

Beware of thieving seagulls! There is warning signs on the tables so don't expect a replacement if the thieving seagulls steal your lunch!

Rowan was great. Actually listened, completed my order in double quick time(I was in a rush) and unbelievably did it all with a smile. She was really good to be honest

Don’t buy a single cookie because the staff will mock you as you walk out. Buying subway cookies is a totally normal thing to do. Staff should be less judgemental.

Staff was very rude to customers in front of us and then served us with the same attitude we asked for food the man misheard what we said and then blatantly said no ypu asked for pigs and blankets when we order crinkle chips customer services was shocking would not recommend anyone to go here

Was greeted by a lovely brown boy who made sure all my sandwich needs were met. The young blonde girl was also very polite!

Always sold out of best stuff, with the demand you think they prepare more cause it costing them buisness

Staff seemed like they didn’t care about what they were doing and could probably do with finding a new job, table sticky and generally not very nice- won’t be going back

Having entered this subway store today with my daughter.I asked for the gluten free bread, as i have celiac disease I had ask nicely if the young guy could please change his gloves, this is because of cross-contamination from the the other breads. I was horrified as he tutted at me and stormed off out the back, then came back and did not continue to serve me, another employee had realised I had been left stood there whilst he served someone else, she still did not change her gloves and no passover was given to her from the young guy, they were scooping up odd bits of water filled sweet corn and lettuce from the bottom of the silver trays it was horrendous to watch, in the end I said I'm not only embarrassed of the way I was tutted at but also by the scraps of salad in the counter.

It was an ok store, tidy and clean

Its a good spot but have less seating capacity so keep that in mind while choosing this. And I haven't seen much of a rush that i had seen in other fast food centers in Plymouth.

I usually come to this Subway on my lunch breaks at college. The subs are always great quality, never had a problem with them. The staff are also great here. My order has been memorized by a good majority of the staff here, I often don't even need to say what sub I want when I go in anymore.

Always a pleasure popping in for a footlong Italian BMT a tea 🍵 and a packet of crisps and maybe a bottle of pop too. Always helpful staff and great food. I believe its value for money 💰 and with the rewards app you get free sandwiches 🥪 once you've earned the points mind. Cheers 🙂😁

Subway sandwiches were enjoyed by me and my family from this store.

Fast service despite how busy it gets during lunchtime, and they offer a wide range of sandwich combos for you to really get a decent meal. In this Subway in particular, I think there is an upstairs floor where there is more seating, however I have not been here enough times to know. Perhaps you can find out!

Its a subway. No toilet though which i find very strange for a sit down place

A nice little restaurant at the top of Plymouth town centre where you can get a choice of great tasting sub rolls in either a six or twelve inch choice of different sub rolls, you can make them up any way you want them with a large choice of different fillings and you can even get them toasted, they also do lots of other snacks and a large choice of different drinks. The place is clean and tidy although i do tend to get electric shocks off their seating when they have the fan switched on in there, but the staff are friendly and courteous so all in all it's a great place to eat and drink.

166-168 Armada Way, Plymouth (although all branches use the same method). The Staff wear gloves whilst handling the different ingredients to fill the Bread Rolls. They handle the MEAT and then place their hands in the SALADS. Customers can request that Staff change their gloves when preparing your meal, only the food is already Contaminated by Staff who have their hands in all the foods. Why not use Serving Utensils? It will look more appealing and be Cost affective.

Sadie provided fantastic customer service, smiley, happy and helpful. Couldnt have asked for better customer service. Food was great as always. She deserves a pay increase!

I like subway every now and then.

Food was ok. The issue is that there are tables located outside and a seagull made off with my whole footlong. When I went in to get a second sandwich was informed by the staff that it happens frequently and the manager has not taken any steps to warn customers and staff thought it was funny that it had happened.

The food is good and I hate giving it only 4 stars. But the actual building is fairly run down. I can see why they have tables outside, because it's depressing sitting inside. Good food though.

Dissatisfied apps never seem to work when purchasing a meal deal always full price.

Staff struggle to retain order instructions. Repeating it back three times to give the order reiterated incorrectly back three times from the staff of which my husband replied it is not difficult doesn't require staff member to say he was being rude. Retrain staff on customer service and how to competently remember orders else subway may not be for them. Plus cleanliness lacking upstairs

Subway is big favourite of mine . I was so happy when they finally put a subway in the spar shop near where I go to work.i love the choices of subs .good prices and something for the kids to .good location . Nice staff .

Odered a coffee from this branch and wished to use the bathroom facilities. While waiting for the coffee I went to find the bathroom which I did but it was locked. I asked a member of staff about toilet facilities but even though I was a paying customer the Middle Eastern staff member told me there were no toilet facilities for customers to use. This is illegal for a restaurant and also unhygenic as I was going to order a sandwich but changed my mind as I would not have been able to wash my hands first. Very poor!

Reasonably priced food made very quickly. Tasted great . Very helpful and friendly staff.

Good place for a quick and easy snack for lunch. Staff are always friendly even when rushed off their feet.

Came in asked of could have a footlong and have half and half woman said yes then carried on making them and then told me I had to pay for 2 separate then she asked me if I wanted my sub's toasted I said no to the tuna one but she thoight she would toast it any ways and then her face when I mentioned it was like thunder she plainly didn't listen to my instructions not happy at all

Great food and good seating. There is a downstairs seating area but you can also go upstairs if you want a more private eating area. Right near the shopping mall so easy to access and the food is of the usual, high subway quality. I have never been unable to order something due to a lack of stock.

Such bad service need to ask someone what sub they wanted as they did not do what they wanted. They then made us re join the line. Very disappointing

This place always seems dirty but we go here because we like subway. Never had a problem before. I always take my two young girls 4 and 3. They like to have a yazoo chocolate milk as a treat . (Usually I already have their squash in bottles for them). I'm this occasion I asked politely for an extra cup as I have had before and this is never a problem at the plympton branch. They said no and that I'd have to pay for a dispensed drink if I wanted a cup. Very bad service and those of you who are parents will know this caused no and of arguments between my girls sharing the same drink. Grrrr.

Went in here with my daughter. The food was good and it is a cheap and friendly option, especially for families. A good range and typical Subway value. The staff were very friendly and cheerful. However, the cleanliness in the eating areas was poor. The floor was dirty and the tables needed a good wipe over. We ended up taking the food away as it was a bit grim in there.

The hygiene wasn't amazing as the restaurant didn't have any cleaning staff, so tables were a bit mucky ... The food was of good quality. Gets busy really quickly around lunch time which was a shame, as I had my sandwich toasted but it was cold by the time I got to eat it, due to slow service. However it was worth the price.

This food is awesome and creative and I love it so much. It's also a good thing having diffent size meals in this shop. A massive 10 from me !!!!!!

Subway is good for when you want to grab a quick lunch for a cheap value, hygience was good and service was good. If you avoid the lunch rush time all will be fine, as it can get quite hectic and chaotic during lunch time rushes.

Always great lunch, good value and quick service. Just make sure not to hit the lunch rush, when the line is out the door

Enjoyed the sandwich basically the same as all the subways though as expected the staff were good and the place looked clean

I visit subways all over the UK, and most have excellent staff and a decent food offer. On this breakfast visit the one member team was a mature blonde lady. Clearly stressed getting the store open she failed to smile, greet or in anyway engage other than to take the breakfast sub order. Now, in virtually all subways, whether it is policy or not they will add salad to your sausage etc. The server in this case took a hostile view of my request. She could have declined my request with politeness and calmness. Her general huffing and puffing, sour face and poor attitude damages the reputation of a business that otherwise I like. There are plenty of other subways in Plymouth, use them, this one should be restaffed or closed.

We visited the Derrys cross subway. It was filthy and hadn't been cleaned for several hours. The staff were rude and disinterested and just grunted. I hated the experience and won't be back. The sandwich was OK but there are plenty better places to get one.

I visited the subway on southside street (barbican) Absolutely awful, was served by a mature blonde woman who clearly had better things to do, she certainly didn't want to be there, she was dressed as a manager. Food was fine, but if the attitudes of all the staff are set by her example... theres murky waters ahead.

There are several Subways in Plymouth which my friends and I went to on a regular basis, at least once a week in fact. However, the company since took Pork from the Menu so not to upset the Muslim community. Big mistake

Subway is good value for money for a quick lunch, nice latte and quick friendly service, tables need to be cleared a bit quicker

Excellent for a speedy and economical lunch. Also somewhere you can eat without piling on the calories as your rolls are custom made.
