Full restaurant with a lot of noise so couldn’t hear much so had to shout but that’s a sign of how brilliant the food is at streetly, ordered a new item which was a Golgappa shot and the young lad came over explaining exactly what it was and he was brilliant, has only been there 2 months I think he said, owner is very attentive and remembers the returning customers like family

After seeing 2 curry Awards on Birmingham live I thought I might try for the first time StreetlyBalti not the best for impaired mobility having to walk up stairs to the restaurant placed over £100 pounds worth of food trying different curry’s Pros & Cons Food tasted ok not the best iv tried flavour was ok but the cons are cauliflower was hard to bite not cooked long enough for my liking and when you order a biryani you normally get a vegetable curry but you only get plain curry sauce Mint sauce tasted different from others I have tried Masala chips some were hard to chew I did enjoy the Railway Gosht one of there signature dishes meat was very tender in this dish Staff were polite and welcoming I Would try again but I would mostly consider keeping to my normal takeaway

Great little balti, food is fantastic - love the range of starters and they recommend me a good lamb curry, the handi, just the right amount of spice! Small place with nice atmosphere. byob, good service.. we'll be back 👍

Had a takeway,north India garlic chilli chicken but a bit spoilt by less sauce and to much garlic and onion Which takes the taste away from the curry a bit.but big portions and tender chicken.

What can I say about this place ! Hidden gem of Streetly. Streetly Balti has amazed me. The food is authentic with a modern twist, which was amazing. The freshness and quality of the food in a commercial place was very surprising. The food tasted like recipes that are made by the loved ones at home, replicated at Streetly Balti. Shahab and his son make sure the experience in Streetly Balti is always to be remembered. Shahab is very knowledgeable of his menu and knows what dish will be right for you. His customer service and hospitality is highly regarded. Check out this hidden gem, they surely won’t disappoint.

We had a few sharing starters, which were absolutely lovely, so I knew the meal was going to be great but I didn’t realise just how great it would be. I had the goan fish and it was quite simply delicious, one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. I had 2 children with me and Streetly Balti were fantastic in catering for a lower spice level for them, resulting in 2 clean plates! Not only was the food fantastic but the service was friendly and efficient too. Overall a fantastic experience and we will be back very soon.

Wow Streetly Balti.. Tonight we have tasted the finest cuisine courtesy of the professional team at SB, to the point of where the food tasted far superior than Birmingham’s big and corporate competitors. As most Naan bread wipers can appreciate, there is huge difference between standard Indian food and an authentic curry, tonight’s dishes and service were respectively immense.. To be greeted with exquisite dishes rather than the usual ‘bore off’ menu is an absolute pleasure. My partner and I do not usually share the same culinary taste but tonight she was wowed, we both were.. Can’t wait to visit Streetly Balti again next week 👌🏻 Paul & Lucy

Best curry I’ve ever had! Really nice out of the way restaurant with lovely staff. Taleb was our waiter for the evening who was so helpful and made it a great experience. Small unassuming entrance to a tiny main room with 7 tables. Lovely busy atmosphere and great food. Highly recommended!

Researched online and ordered a takeout on the back of all the good reviews but food was poor - very bland and sugar in a lot of the dishes. One of the staff said to me on collection, next time you order tell them you want it desi style - bit too late on collection, this should have been done when placing the order on the phone (could tell by name I'm asian so could have recommended appropriately). Wasted best part of £90 on this takeout and I wouldn't order again. Also, cannot understand the 5* reviews!

100% can recommend Streetly Balti if you want superb food and fantastic service. The taste of the food is to die for. I come here regularly but tonight's dish I though I would go for something different, I was not disappointed. King Prawn Kali Mirch.... is nothing short of perfection. Quality food in an intimate setting. Friendly and welcoming staff. I would thoroughly recommend the Pata Chatt starter and the Issa Khodu was delicious. It's worth noting that they don't have a bar licence so, bring your own drinks! We had a wonderful meal and will be back.

Had a lovely meal at this restaurant, been here several times and normally have the same meal of original chicken curry which I love but thought I would try something new that. I had a recommendation for my starter of fish pakora which was amazing, I could have eaten just a plateful of those, followed by the Goan fish which was very tasty. Great quality cod used in the goan fish which was cooked very well. Would recommend both dishes! For a Tuesday evening the restaurant was busy and I can see why with the quality of the food.

A rare night out for us, what a great place, warm and friendly staff to welcome us in, food was excellent, I had the Goan Fish which was superb, my partner had the chilli and garlic chicken and we both ate the lot. This small restaurant has a fabulous atmosphere.

On a visit to the area and staying close by I was drawn to a visit to Streetly Balti. There is parking outside and on entering the restaurant I was impressed by its modernistic decor. The menu is more traditional than many balti restaurants but the choices are still plentiful. It doesn’t have an alcohol licence but you can bring your own which is another positive. I opted for the karahi kebab which is s mixture of chicken, lamb and seekh kebab in s very tasty sauce with peppers and onions. It was delicious. For mains I went for keema matter with a plain naan. I can honestly say this was the best keema matter I have tasted and believe me I’ve had s few up and down the country. The naan was also nice and fluffy and freshly baked. Throughout my stay the staff were extremely attentive, friendly and efficient . I can thoroughly recommend this excellent to anyone in the area; you won’t be disappointed.

I am 7 years old and I went with my family and I saw the best Indian restaurant award and said I know why that is there! Because this food is the best I have ever tasted in my whole life! The chicken tikka was the BEST thing i have ever tasted. I am really glad I went to that amazing restaurant.

Food is superb, so fresh and tasty and great value for money. Really cannot recommend the food enough. Only issue is the place is so small that it can be quite loud in the restaurant. Staff are great, just the size of the restaurant does affect the experience a bit. This place really has food and menu perfected so I hope they continue to grow and can move into a larger space.

So…. Booked having found on trip advisor …. No idea what to expect…. Booked online…. Received a phone call late afternoon confirming my booking and asking if I didn’t mind being a little later due to a larger party running over potentially… not a problem…. Also advised where they were and bring your own booze. It’s a small upstairs place - nothing flashy - yet it’s funky and clean…. The owner came and introduced himself and spoke to me - lovely guy - again a nice touch. Food was great - service fine. They’ve won many awards - you can see why. The hardwick arms pub is about a mile away for a pre drink Go with an open mind - it’s a casual dress place - just has a relaxed vibe. Thanks again for being so pleasant and kind - oh and the food…. Fabulous of course!

Although a tiny restaurant, I left with big impressions. The food was great with the meat cooked perfectly and spiced nicely. I’ve overlooked this place in the past but will definitely be returning if they keep to the same standard I experienced last night.

Delicious food and friendly service. Love that they don't use artificial colouring in their tandoori grills and there are a lot of unique dishes on the menu instead of just the usual run of the mill items that most places offer.

Congratulations to Streetly Balti on celebrating its 30th anniversary! Ever since it first opened we have had a friendly welcome and great food. Deliveries have been much appreciated especially after lockdown and today we are enjoying the authentic Bangladeshi dishes on offer. Thank you!

Living abroad, it had been a while since I had an Indian meal and Streetly Balti was highly recommended to me by a friend. It was awesome! I chose the Railway Gosht, a succulent mutton curry. It was delicious. The customer service was great and the owner sat and chatted with us. It was a warm and homely experience and the food was brilliant!

Amazing food. Ordered Tikka Masala first night then Sami told me they can do Butter Chicken "our style" so just had to come back and try that. Absolutely beautiful. Warm, comforting and a real proper version. Ate it with a massive smile on my face and it felt like a warm hug from Grandma. Highly, highly recommend. Already trying to think of excuses to come back to Birmingham to get another Butter Chicken in! The onion bhajis and naans were also fantastic.

First visit food was good .. but restaurant was very cramped and just felt on top of each other . Also parking was very limited .

Our take away from here was terrible 02/09/23. The masala chips were just oven chips with a tiny amout of ketchup on them and tasted terrible. Thew most of them away! and i was charged £2.75 for them! what a joke. The naan bread was burnt and tasteless, was meant to be a cheese naan, and the curry was just awful, threw most of it in the bin. I think £29 is an absolute joke to feed 2 people with really sub standard food. Will not be using this place again. I wouldn't waste your time going here. Really disappointing.

We were having a night out with friends for their birthday. My husband does not eat Indian food so his intention was fish and chips. When we spoke to staff they were extremely helpful and took time to see what type of spice my husband liked and how strong. They suggested a dish as a starter and then see what he thought before ordering a main. My husband loved the starter and for the first time ordered an Indian meal. I cannot thank the staff how helpful and patient they were that evening and now we can both go out to an Indian and he knows what to order. Food was lovely and fresh and staff were great.
