Do not Moor here, owner is the rudest lady I have encountered for some time, considering we were customers to her business. We had our 2 pugs with us off lead (but well controlled) as we had not seen any signs to disallow this (we looked afterwards and they were along the river not near where we had not moored) The lady shouted at us for this, we apologised and put them on leads immediately. She continued to shout, repeating herself and accused us of being in 'her back yard' even though we were standing by the shop entrance. No wonder place is for sale!

Have always loved visiting in previous years but this time there were no animals to be seen really, shop was bare and the lady who owned it was so rude to us telling us its her front garden and to get out!

This used to be a lovely place to stop but it is now sad and dilapidated. It is up for sale so I hope that the next owners can restore it to it's former standard

What a shame this place has fallen into disrepair. The animal pen was full of manure and stank. Shop was very badly stocked and you have to request it bring open by visiting the cafe. Noticed it was for sale so let’s hope the new owners can turn the place around.

Lovely place to stop, either on the boat or by car. Great atmosphere and service with a smile. Very reasonable priced both for food and little shop with all the essentials we needed to continue our boating journey. Much better than stopping in all those overpriced marinas, here you feel welcomed and get everything you need, including water top up for your boat. Highly recommended. Your kids will also love it here, with all the friendly goats, donkeys, shetlands and all the other animals. All are welcomed here ☺️

Brilliant place to stop and have a meal, play with the animals, admire the view and explore the amazing Wind Pump. Despite it being next to the A47 being next to it? It’s isnt loud. Accessed by the River Bure and A47. It’s great place to stop by and staff are lovely too. The shop also sells essentials for when you’re on the river.

We moored overnight here, on a horrible rainy afternoon. Even though we didn't need anything else, we have used this place before for lunch, in past years and it has always been excellent for food and service. The owner even came out to our boat to refund some money he had mistakenly short changed us. Very nice place to visit.

Great little place to stop for a snack or a nice cuppa, they have a small area with some animals and access to the river with boat moorings, the highlight was the nice windmill right on the cafe grounds. Lovely to see all of this in one place and well worth a visit.

Tried three times over the past couple of months to have breakfast here but have been thrown out each time! Each time owner has been incredibly harassed and everything is too much trouble. Animals are in rather cramped conditions and customers made to feel very unwelcome. Such a shame as it could be amazing.

Fantastic place! We visited yesterday and it was busy, which the staff did not expect. They were extremely nice and apologies given numerous times for waiting for food. They even cooked a sausage for our dog, which he ate straight way and he can be particular what he eats. The shop has loads of different items. Our dachshund chose a toy seal which we ended up buying as he wouldn't leave it alone. We named it Phoebe as she was great and made a big fuss of him, he loved it. He plays alot with Phoebe and was the first toy he picked this morning when he woke up. Well worth the diversion we made to visit on our broads holiday.

Very unhappy to pay £5.99 for ONE fried egg on toast!! We have been to the cafe a few years ago (different owners) and happy with the breakfast and considered it value for money, however we won't be returning next year, far too expensive and greedy.

Sounded great in the reviews, but heading over by car in fast traffic, by the time I could make out the entrance it was too late to slow down and I was past! There is nowhere near to pull in and turn round. So we went on somewhere else. Is there anything you can do to make the entrance clearer?

I’m not sure where to start here. Had 2 coffees and for the entirety of the stay had a white German shepherd barking aggressively at us through the fence. This was only interrupted by the staff yelling ‘shut up Luna’ presumably short for lunatic. The site is a bit of a mess in general with plant pots poorly kept, cobwebs around equipment and a dirty farmyard type environment around the cafe. This, in my view, needs some works to get to where it could be. Some work needed here.

I have no idea how anyone can say this is "work in progress". The shop and cafe are absolutely fabulous, goats, peacocks, small avery all for you to enjoy and most importantly an extremely friendly and welcoming atmosphere from the owner and the girls. Food was great and the shop has basic groceries along with a selection of souvenirs for both young and old. The windmill has to be one of the best in the area in terms of renovated condition and just awaiting its sails. What an absolute cracking find. If you are traveling by, pop in even if just for a brew you won't regret it. Fabulous fabulous fabulous a true British gem.

Really helpful and friendly staff. There is a café serving hot food (sausage/burger and chips, sandwiches etc) and a shop selling essentials plus some fun stuff. There are goats and donkeys and various caged birds + peacocks. Also, the Stracey Arms wind pump (under renovation). You can fill up your water tank here. Last stop before Gt Yarmouth on the River Bure by boat. Or first stop after Gt Yarmouth. Open late. So no excuse not to pop in.

We visited Stracey Arms Mill by car for a coffee whilst on holiday with our two children and two lurchers. I felt at home as soon as we were greeted by a little chihuahua at the gate. The coffee was amazing and the views were breathtaking. The icing on the cake was the free roaming friendly animals in the adjacent field who we had lots of cuddles with. They all looked extremely happy well cared for. The staff were all super friendly and we had a lovely long chat with them. They even warmed up my coffee for me because I was so long looking at the animals. There are few places where I feel completely at peace and Stracey Arms Mill was one of them. It was definitely a highlight of our holiday. Well worth a visit either by boat or by car.

Work in progress - Last stop to top up on supplies before Great Yarmouth. The windmill is a beautiful and the tea shop was quaint with a decent menu that considers a vegan diet. The gift shop was well stocked with various trinkets and gifts. The staff here have clearly invested in the tea rooms and gift shop which will hopefully drive profits for the upkeep and development of the site. I had asked to use the toilets but was told quite curtly that they were not working. I felt this was a slight let down as the customer service up to this point was perfect. I also felt the petting zoo was fairly underwhelming and was slightly appalled to see the temporary (I hope it was temporary) cage set up for the peacocks. We donated some money for the upkeep of animals and I hope that future developments will turn this fairly disorganised/unkempt part of the site into something more harmonious with the landscape and animals alike. My favourite part of the site was the aviary that had been hand built. It was large enough for the birds and has inspired both my son and I for a future build project in our own garden.

Stopped off here as my wife loves donkeys. Put a fiver in the box for the upkeep of the animals. Went and spent some money in the shop even though we didn't need anything. We were out in the Paddock feeding the donkeys only to be told to please leave as we had walked through an open gate into what she deemed private property. Very rude in our opinion. Will not go back nor would recommend anyone visit. Wife was very upset. Dawn needs to learn some people skills

BEST PLACE ON THE NORFOLK BROADS. I've been visiting the Norfolk Broads with both friends and family for many years now and we always look forward to visiting Stracey Arms Mill. The location is brilliant with views across the marshes for miles ( as a bit of a Windmill fanatic I use my monocular when I'm there as you can see lots of Mills). The shop and cafe at the Mill are brilliant and well stocked. I recommend the full English breakfast or the Ploughman's lunch, believe me you will not be disappointed. The owners are extremely helpful and welcoming and treat me and my friends like family. If you are a animal lover, this is a brilliant location to stop. There are goats, donkeys, chickens, ducks, peacocks and dogs too which are friendly. So if you are holidaying on the Broads, don't forget to stop at Stracey Arms either for a quick visit or mooring overnight.
