We didn't eat here, but perused the shop. It has many items which celebrate the local area and are ideal as gifts to take home. It also has staples (bread etc) if you need to top up the galley, and some treats if you need a chocolate hit. It also has an extensive collection of the fiction books that brought us to the area - we wanted to visit some of the locations mentioned in the books. Well worth a visit.

A lovely little spot and worth mooring at Ranworth Broad for. An old malting and grain store which has been converted into a modern café and fantastic gift shop with a gallery for local artists or artists capturing the beauty of local landscapes. The cakes are out of this world and there’s too many to choose from! Staff are really friendly and go above and beyond. Some quirky and amusing signage if you keep your eyes peeled. Try the rhubarb and custard ice cream, or courgette and lime cake - both sound a bit odd but are delicious! Ask the owner for his shirt story, it’ll make you laugh. You’ll also catch some friendly ducks that love to be fed. Good wifi too (which in a bad signal area is an added bonus).

Visited on a day when we should have stayed indoors! However, the staff were welcoming & had a great sense of humour. A lovely store with plenty of souvenirs as you would expect, being a popular stop on the Norfolk Broads. Lots of local produce available and an excellent cafe adjoined where we had a magnificent lunch & drinks. Needless to say, it was quiet as all sailing had stopped due to the appalling weather. Once agin though, the staff were friendly & helpful. Would recommend the home made cakes etc.

Mum and I arrived @ The Granary Restaurant for a full English. Delicious. Served by such a friendly lady and her daughter, Emma. Maybe I've got the name the wrong way round! Lol and one escapes me, sorry. 🫣Wonderful service, above and beyond. Mum was even given a cream tea to take back to the boat. Such kindness is a rarity down in London sadly. They even looked after my dear mum when she thought I'd gone missing, when the engineer was fixing the heating on the boat. Wonderful people. 👍🤩🤩🤩 Thank you so much. We noticed too, after an absence of 7 years, what wonderful and stylish decor the restaurant has now. An added bonus, creating a lovely ambience. Returned for evening meal and was simply BLOWN AWAY!! Martin was great front of house. Mum nearly took him back to the boat in a doggie bag!! 🤣😂🤣😂 I had the BBQ belly of pork bites which were superb. Mum's steak was cooked to perfection, with a lovely peppercorn sauce. I opted for the bass! WOW. WOW. WOW! Stupendously sublime!! The pea purée was beautiful, light and tasting of Spring. Delicious. I have NEVER tasted such an incredibly tasty sea bass. Not even in Italy I have to say, where I was lucky to have lived for 10 years and frequented the best restaurants. The potato (forgot the chefy name... fondant? 🤔) war lovely. Crispy on they outside and fluffy and soft inside. The meal was faultless, then I realised I hadn't even poured on the split oil and beurre blanc sauce. What a delight! I had to pinch several of mum's chips to taste. I am a very picky eater in restaurants and when I was told the chef was 18😱😱😱😜😜! My goodness! Phenomenal! Anya, brava, bravissima! 👏👏👏👏👏 TRULY OUTSTANDING 🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺 High quality food at reasonable prices. We shall return before the week's boating is up! 😋😋. FABULOUS. Culinary genius. Mustn't forget the great coffee and cakes!

After mooring at Ranworth yesterday we decided to book in the restaurant for an evening meal. The decor is absolutely beautiful, the service was brilliant and the food was outstanding. The Chef is just 18 years old (that is some achievement producing that standard of food at that age) but no doubt this is a team effort so of course a nod goes to everyone in the kitchen and front of house! An absolute must for anyone who is lucky enough to moor at Ranworth, or just book if you're staying nearby. Great experience. 😊

The service was 6 stars, the staff were incredibly attentive, with a special mention to Jessica, who was lovely and smiley and really looked after us. We had a reserved table inside but with a great view of the broad, doors wide open to enjoy the late summer breeze. The tea itself was a massive spread, and we took a doggy-box home. Breakfast: Just perfect. Hot and tasty served by an absolutely lovely lady who knew her customers by name, was cheery, perky and enjoyed her job. Dinner: Good food, good portions, nicely presented. We were advised that - for whatever reason - service would be slow but we didn't mind. The transformation from café to restaurant at 5 p.m. is a recent innovation and we imagine that folk will be finding their feet; the evening enjoyment was worth the wait. It was the best tie-up anywhere on our boating jaunt. The jolly lady in charge is a pure gem.

Warm welcome and if I lived locally, this would easily become a regular spot for a cuppa. The café doubles up as a restaurant for the evening. Our coffee and scones were tasty, served in beautiful surroundings (both location and the interior decor). We stopped at Ranworth during a boat holiday ,we met some friends there who kindly offered to buy us lunch .Our Friends ordered jacket potatoes,we ordered beef baguettes, I thought it was strange that no garnish etc listed .When jacket potatoes arrived they looked very nice ,served with salad and slaw. Then the baguettes arrived , it was a part baked baguette served straight from packet ,spread with marge and a slice of supermarket beef , I asked waitress if we should expect salad or crisps or something or even a smear of mayonnaise, the waitress said they didn't come with anything , she said' that's strange isnt it " They charged 8 quid for that ! I couldn't complain as I didn't want to upset our friends who had kindly paid .They should seriously be ashamed , I couldn't choose anything else as there was no menu outside and weren't allowed to take dog inside . I even struggled to swallow it as bread was not fully cooked . As I said ,our friends lunch looked OK, I would never risk going there again .

Do not Moor here, owner is the rudest lady I have encountered for some time, considering we were customers to her business. We had our 2 pugs with us off lead (but well controlled) as we had not seen any signs to disallow this (we looked afterwards and they were along the river not near where we had not moored) The lady shouted at us for this, we apologised and put them on leads immediately. She continued to shout, repeating herself and accused us of being in 'her back yard' even though we were standing by the shop entrance. No wonder place is for sale!
