These are without doubt the best fish and chips around and served by friendly staff. Could not possibly recommend anywhere other than here.

As a man from the west coast of Scotland , fish and chips shops are something I grew up on. It’s always been hard to find a good shop in land. But bloody hell this was a real find. Light fluffy crispy batter, chips were delicious and cooked in fresh oil. Staff were superb. This is a hidden gem in the Fens. Highly recommend if passing by. 5/5 The address isn’t Chatteris tho , it’s 44 high street March PE15 9JR .

Just visited my husbands family who all still live in March. We visited Stotts Fish Restaurant last Wednesday. The two girls working were absolutely fantastic. They made sure we adhered to the covid rules and the window sign clearly displayed it’s governed by Government rules. Inside they had tables for people who may want to eat but if you were buying take out you don’t touch or sit down. The distancing was displayed on the floor. What I loved is both these girls were wearing face shields and masks in really hot temperatures behind the coolers but doing it to ensure you felt comfortable in how your food was being prepared. I know there is division amongst the UK regarding mask wearing etc but at least you felt so reassured they were adhering and complying thoroughly. However getting onto the food. OMG to die for. Our haddock was huge. The way it was cooked and the batter was me banging on for how they made it. They stayed loyal and didn’t divulge anything. The chips were cooked to perfection, not too dark but not too light. And an absolute must is their fish scraps, I could eat them forever and a day. We had some peas and gravy and off we went. Can I fault them? Can I heck. We travel to March to visit family and go to Betts for our massive sausage order and to Stotts for our wonderful fish & chips. So looking forwards to our next visit. Keep doing what you do as it’s so so right.

During the COVID 19 events I have missed many things. High on the list was a local fish and chip shop on the High Street in March. I was checking now and again to see if the had opened but was always disappointed Then, I read they had indeed opened for takeaway only and, they had made available an option to order online and then go collect, cutting the time required at the actual venue. I couldn’t wait to have a portion of cod and chips However. I was mightily shocked at the condition of the fish. It was thin, greasy and tasted overcooked I was not able to eat it and I will not be going back. Frankly, I would rather go without than risk ordering again I was so upset. They have always been fantastic. Nope. Never going again. I’m sad but I can’t waste money like that

The best curry restaurant I have been to. Excellent choices on the menu, superb food and great service all at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

If you want good pub grub then The food in this place is better than anywhere in the local area! A month ago my wife and I decided to try the food after the pub changing hands. We had the burgers 🍔 and the dirty fries 🍟 we have been residents of Coates village for 30 years and both grew up in Whittlesey. What you get here is the only thing within 40 miles that would rival anything decent burger and fries from London (I mean, American style)! I’ve severed some hi end establishments over my time with meat as I was a butchery manager that worked for jimmy Doherty (Jamie Oliver’s mate) for a number of years and I’m ecstatic that I have this 200m up the road! The service was spot too!! Hats off too chef at the vine!! This guy know what he is doing 🎩👍🍔🍟

Had a takeaway which we collected and brought to the office. Various dishes ordered and everyone was hot, spot on and no left-overs. We order most Fridays and they have yet to disappoint! Highly recommend all their breakfast dishes - tried them all over time!

We had booked for a party of 20, though had a few drop out through illness. After drinks in the very friendly bar we were asked to make our way to the restaurant. Wow!! The pub had really pulled out all the stops for us. Decorated tables and everything. Food and service was fantastic. The two minor complaints were dealt with very quickly and satisfactory. Well done the Elm Tree, Rock Choir will be back I'm sure.

We booked Shooters for breakfast as advertised . When we got there , expecting an American menu there were 3 options Full English Vegetarian or Sandwiches . It appears that “ Shooters” don’t actually do the breakfast . When mine came the wafer thin sliced mushrooms ( there wasn’t even 1 full mushroom I imagine ) were stone cold as was the bacon beans and tinned tomatoes . I ate the egg and hash brown . So if you book “ shooters “ for breakfast be aware that you won’t get a diner breakfast just a cold mediocre breakfast for £7.95
