This is a place that deserves to be busy. Not only are the staff fantastic, the food is incredible, haven't had a bad experience yet. Price wise is on point too. I'd confidently say this is the best chip shop by far in Tamworth. Make sure to pop down and try it out!

Have edited my previous review which was 2* - haven’t been here for a while and since they changed ownership, the shop is nice, the staff were nice and the food really good, 5* hygiene rating too will definitely be back for more!

Well what can I say 🤷 but well done to the new owners the food was delicious good portion size and reasonably priced, it's like night and day compared to the previous arrogant owner standards, the shop is clean well presented counter staff happy and helpful and did I mention the food is delicious and fresh, now my favourite local chippy agen and I have now edited my previous review to reflect this, keep up the good work 👏

Massively overpriced, unfriendly service

I have not used this chip shop for at least 2 years, I went in yesterday, I ordered Kebab meat and chips, the same miserable faced woman served me, not a smile or thank you, the Kebab meat was as tough as leather, the chips were ok. The only way I will EVER use this chip shop again is if new owners take over who will maybe appreciate customers. Also it wasa Friday night at 5.00pm ,I was the only customer, that tells you something. I will be trying the new one that is opening shortly at Lakeside, Glascote, Swift.

Never again... Went a few weeks ago and had 2 kebabs and chips was so good and loads of it too. Went to today and paid £6.50 each for these (largers) not at all worth it. Really annoyed at paying for this there is nothing there. No wonder they wrap them away from you. Will NOT be going again.

Just been to this chippie for chips and curry in a tray and battered sausage and chips and I cannot fault them in any way they were bloody lovely

Absolutely awful, don't bother....go elsewhere. The woman was really rude and ignorant...rolling her eyes and tutting, and not even listening to the order! Not cheap and the food wasn't good either. The chicken kebabs had a very small portion of chicken on them.....I would say the smallest amount of any chippy I've ever been too in Tamworth. The fish was very small and the batter was stodgy, and horrible. I would've walked out if I hadn't paid for the food before I was treated so terribly....they don't deserve customers with the cost of living crisis like it is, I'll spend my money at a place that values its customers in future. Don't waste your money, stay away.

Rude people serving especially the old woman. Would never go there again if that is the kind of service they offer no wonder it’s only 3 star I wouldn’t give it that.

Called in at lunchtime got cone of chips plus normal portion, literally both portions were so small, prices gone up portions massively reduced won't go again

Very poor customer service. Tried charging me £1.10 for salad. Prices charged didn't reflect what was on the price board.

Woman who was in there was very rude when I was ordered she said ‘PLEASE’ to correct my manners and I hadn’t even finished talking. Prices are very high mixed meat and chips is £7 the. They charge an extra 50p for salad? Isn’t salad part of a kebab. You cannot order a smaller option so if you want a kebab it’s large or nothing. I went outside to get some air and the food was ready (just two meals by the way which I would carried) she then gave the food to my girlfriend and said rudely “he left you do carry that” it’s a shame because the food was actually quite nice but as I’ve come home fuming it’s a 1 star no clue about hospitality

By far the best chip shop in Tamworth the staff are very friendly and happy and the chips are to die for and as for the sauces and kebabs well I suggest you try them all you wont be disappointed keep up the good work

Absolutely terrible, no other word to describe it. I decided to buy the lunchtime special micro fish and chips and I found four pieces of bone in the fish, not one, not two, not three but four pieces. The owner and those who work for him behind the counter seemed bemused seeing a person of colour, I kinda get that given that it’s Tamworth but the basics of customer service is a smile which is free. Should have read the reviews before visiting, never again, just disgusting and I’m really hoping I don’t get food poisoning based on other reviews.

We always use them, usually yum ! Tonight was very mediocre as was previous visit. Fish had far too much batter, chips bit dry, curry sauce nice and peas ... nuclear green ! The shop is always clean and the staff lovely and friendly. Why is there no one in on a Friday evening ?

If I could rate this with 0* I would. It's horrendous! Chips were clearly refried from the day before and had no potato left inside them! They were too hard and were inedible. The chicken tray was a small although I ordered a large (we always have a large). When I called to complain I was basically accused of being a liar as they said it only comes in a small tray. As I said we always have a large, we share it amongst the family with chips. The customer service is as bad as their chips! They take for granted that there is no other chippy close by and think they can serve anything! It's about time stonydelph had a new chippy and put these con artists out of business!! Disgusting.

My local fish and chip shop. Standard counter/ customer area. Always looks clean. Friendly helpful staff. Well stocked, good value. Good quality, nice tasting fish and chips, pies, chicken curry and all the other stuff. Some good deals.

I ended up in Hospital for the day with food poisoning after a meal from this chip shop . I was violently ill and was really ill for a whole week.i have reported them to the environmental Health department.
