Great venue, reasonable priced drinks, lovely personable staff and live entertainment at the wkend. No nonsense tolerated, so never any trouble. Venue is also available for private hire if you message them. If in the area, please give this bar a visit. Support the local non chain bars where you can x.

Absolutely fabulous place to visit. The entertainment, venue and staff are always 💯. A cracking place for a wonderful night out. Can't comment on the food as I haven't eaten there but the coffee is beautiful.

Excellent bar. Coffee is the best in the area. Drinks very reasonably priced. The owner and staff. are so friendly and attentive, live entertainment is the best around.

I went on a bingo, buffet and live music evening.

I have,been here many times to see live entertainment and also held 2 private parties here. Always such a very warm welcome from the owners and staff. A fabulous, safe, inclusive environment with great entertainment.

I went for a afternoon tea and it was absolutely amazing.well worth the money.also been to few nights when the acts nights are on brilliant time. so friendly and staff are so lovely.nice place to enjoy yourself

Lovely bar in the heart of Mapperly, atmosphere is fantastic and live acts on most weekends….. don’t take my word for it, go and see for yourself! Some nights can be busy so get down early for a good seat

Welcoming, friendly bar and reasonably priced. We had arrived a day late for a birthday party! We were immediately invited to stay for a party being held for one of the owners. We could not have felt more welcome even though we decided that it would not be right to "gatecrash" their celebration. Although we did not try the food on offer it did look really amazing. Thanks for making us feel so at ease despite our error.

A Monday night 60th birthday party. Lovely atmosphere and out sourced catering buffet. Plenty of gin and nice music.

Steve, the owner, is an absolute delight. It's quite common to go into the bar as a customer and leave as a friend. Check it out if you are in the area. I'm confident you won't be disappointed.

Great atmosphere. Great venue for entertainment. Seen some very good singing artist at the weekends. Sunday Bingo in the afternoon, we love it. Wonderful staff. Warm and cozy place to go.

What a great experience we had Saturday night.. Great bar great service. Great atmosphere. First we have been there. People were all friendly. Bar staff were great even though it was very busy. Entertainment by gee carmicheal Was superb.. Also probably the cleanest toilets I've seen for a long time.. We will definitely be going back

Edited. Been back since a couple times. Bar staff changed. A lot more professional. Its a awesome place to have a drink and a laugh. Steve is so lovely. Just a good atmosphere different to the other places on mapperley top. There is a reason you can't review on FB. I asked for top shelf gin ( hadn't been out for a while so thought I'd treat myself) and it was served in a sticky gin glass and quite frankly by rude bar staff. Spilt drinks were cleaned up my toilet mops. The man I told didn't care. The place stunk of a chip frier and was more expensive that the much more pleasant bars on mapperley top. I just felt dirty when I left like I needed a shower. I loved tipsy tea, it was my go to place when I wanted a nice drink and night out and no money matters. Steve's was a massive disappointment and in need of a a good scrub in the shower Oz being I there I just felt dirty after I visited. It's a shame. It had so much potential

Always a fabulous night in Steve's Bar, the staff are really lovely, The entertainment is always cracking, one of my favourite places for a good night out. Vegetarian breakfast are spot on in fact best sausages I've ever had. ❤️ Highly recommend

Well we returned for a second visit , and was not disappointed . we took my Brother and his Partner this time and they both loved it. Great Atomsphere & music , great beer . The bar staff are the real stars so proffesional and one young lady behind the bar celebrating her birthday whilst carrying on working( thats dedication ) . Can't fault Steve and all of the staff at Steve's Bar mapperly catering for all with gluten free and veggie/ vegan and those that are caffeine free too. Great afternoon tea for our little club will definitely be returning on a night out.

Didn't eat here, but it's a clean and modern bar, not big but there seem to be events and the service is good. Dog friendly, too!

Been twice now (just for a couple of drinks) both occasions we ended up staying until near on midnight. Great fun atmosphere. Highly recommended for a good night out

Beautiful place to have a bite to eat, been a few times and food is always excellent, staff always friendly and who ever works in the kitchen certainly knows what there doing.

Steve's Bar is a welcoming place, very clean and he has amazing staff that will bend over backwards to help you and they have always been friendly, Steve the owner is lovely really nice gentleman who is always there to help and to make your time spent in steves bar a place you want to come back too. Definitely love coming to steves bar never had a horrible drink or food. Its a lovely pub .

Such a friendly bar! We've had lots of great nights here, all the staff are so welcoming, helpful & friendly & always pleased to see us! Live music on at weekends with some brilliant singers , highly recommended if you've not been yet.

A great bar where the focus is music. The bar owners go out of their way to create a fun atmosphere for their customers and in turn, the bar attracts a cross section of age groups and all seem to enjoy themselves. The place is lively but not over the top and not as pretentious as some of the others I have visited in the area. We need more bars like this where the drinks prices are reasonable and you can relax and have a good night. This will be one of my go-to places when I am in the area.

This bar is clean friendly beautiful,food. And the staff are so friendly. Plenty of drinks to choose from. Food is excellent. Good value for money. Gets very packed at weekends with free good. Entertainment. Where else do you this on mapperley top to be expected.

Love this place! Me & my friend went in and had a large breakfast and a coffee, the breakfast was lovey and so was the coffee! The staff was welcoming and really nice to talk to. They couldn’t do enough for us. I would as like to say how clean it was. Lovely experience!

Went here randomly last Saturday with my partner and we both could not have been more satisfied! The food was amazing! The last time we been here it was under a different name (presumably different owner “tipsy t”) and we only ever really had the afternoon teas. But now that we’ve tried the breakfast it will definitely become a regular spot. I had a small breakfast and my partner the breakfast roll. Both were equally mouth watering delicious and you could taste the quality produce they used. The sausages were fantastic, the bacon thick and delicious! Even the toast was great. Honestly 10/10. Highly recommend

Great atmosphere a bit small but very friendly.

Used to be our local, but has really let us down recently. Been three times since Dec 2022 and never had white wine in. Turned up to try a fourth time at 8.20pm on a Weds and they were closing up for the night! Will give it another go for sure, but so far disappointed.

Went to this bar for first time a couple weeks ago, the owner Stephen was very welcoming to me and my friends, service was prompt and the place has a great atmosphere in the evening, Liam behind the bar was polite and charismatic, definitely would recommend!

Friendly good atmosphere and well presented good food My sausage mash and mushy peas was excellent Good thick gravy no watery rubbish here Will be back for more Recommended and great value

Not the best place for food. Kitchen door left open which made the whole place smell of chip fat. Food service was slow. Steve himself seemed very pleasant acknowledging customers but no staff member asked how the food was. It was edible but nothing to go back for unfortunately.
