Station Cafe in North Ayrshire

Having explored Wemyss Bay, we found this fantastic cafe situated inside the ornate train station buildings and treated ourselves to lunch. Very basic tables and chairs that did the job perfectly with a menu both on the table and on the wall for you to choose then order from the till. We had triple decker toasted sandwiches with hot drinks and everything was well presented. Staff were friendly and prices excellent. Loved it!

Went here with my son for a quick lunch around 13:10. We ordered fish and chips and a full breakfast from the main menu which stated was available until 15:00. After paying at the counter and sitting down a woman come from the kitchen to the counter area and began swearing loudly to her colleagues about us ordering a breakfast at this time. The swearing was clearly audible for the whole cafe to hear. I went to the counter and asked for a refund and informed the server that the reason was hey colleague's profane objections. She informed the woman in the kitchen at which point she swore loudly again as we left the cafe. We won't be back.

I believe you have to order at the counter but the Menus on tables made me believe it was table service. I sat down for 20 minutes without any acknowledgement at all. If you do have to order at counter would been nice to informed. Instead I sat and waited for 20minutes for service and eventually walked out.

An unplanned day out to Wemyss Bay where I’d often heard or read about the railway station and the facilities there. The Railway Station Café served good food in great surroundings with very pleasant staff. Not too busy when there after the ferry had departed. Very reasonably priced and prompt service, what more can one ask for. Definitely recommended.

Brilliant affordable tasty ice cream and coffees. Really friendly service a hidden gem !!! My daughter loves the mint chocolate chip ice cream cones.

Was supposed to open at 7am Stood outside like a fool for 30 minutes In the cold 🥶 wish I grabbed food somewhere else that relly on opening times

Had lunch at this cafe while checking out the caravan park. Home made lentil soup for me and a BLT panini for the other half. All I can say is Mmmmmmmmm. Pot of tea and a coffee. Absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and quick service. What more can you ask.
