I’ve been here several times and never been disappointed. The food is simple but well presented, fresh and delicious. I am coeliac and my wife is vegan and we never feel short changed with the quality and selection. Also serves great coffee. Staff are friendly and professional.

From the warm welcome by David, the efficient order taking and service from Lucy, and the prompt delivery of our delicious food, our experience at this delightful place was excellent. We shall be back.

This was my first visit to Starlings and I will be back. My friend and I were greeted with a warm welcome. Service was perfect. We both hand the steak open sandwich, which was amazing. We enjoyed a margarita and a espresso brownie, which is probably the best brownie I have ever had. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Hosted my 21st birthday party at Starlings, which began with a dinner and ended in a larger party. The food was amazing and the staff were all so welcoming to any ideas for the venue. Would definitely recommend Starlings for a variety of events hosting, the night felt so unique and Ed ensured that every detail and need was catered to. My night was super memorable and special.

Beautiful food - loved "The Mediterranean" dish and the cinnamon hot chocolate, perfect flavour. Basil lemonade was incredibly sharp and lovely. Will definitely come next time I'm in Bristol.

Food was excellent colorful and tasty. Service was fast. Easy going. Chairs were a little uncomfortable. Noise was a little loud could have done with a few books in shelves to quieter the restaurant.

What a charming, independent fantastically high standard cafe/bistro in an up market part of Bristol. The quality of produce is only matched by the quality of welcome, from the proprietor and owner, and a warm winter welcome await. We booked a table. Which was early so unnecessary but it soon filled up. Booking recommended. Some fishy thing for her - some more traditional pork products for me (see pic), loving the crispy smokey bacon. Fresh coffee, plenty of choice with types, plenty of choices of other hot and colder drinks including alcohol. We capped off our experience with a takeaway orange choccy rocky road. Fantastic, again. If you have time and inclination, swing by and support this local establishment trying to conduct their business in the right way, and help support independent business that offers you great personal service ,and quality sourced food..

The only thing better than Starling's Michelin star bacon rolls are the lunches on toast. What a place. Great staff, food and atmosphere.

Lovely atmosphere, went there for brunch, the menu is varied, and has some nice twists on it. The produce is clearly well sourced and very good quality. The only reason it lost a point is one dish arrived on a cold plate which sucked the heat out of the food, and we didn’t enjoy the pickled cucumber on the salmon sourdough, however the eggs Benedict was flawless, including the pickled shallots, the homemade lemonade was both sweet and sour, and the coffee was excellent. If I could have given it 4.5 I would. Can’t wait to come here again which I am sure will be a 5

Came here for a brunch with some friends and it was amazing! The portion sizes were worth the price and the taste was exceptional!! Definitely recommend the mushrooms on toast! Beautiful atmosphere and excellent service!! Will be coming back again v soon :)

This is a delightful friendly spacious café for coffee or a meal; I’ve had both. Sit indoors or outdoors (under cover). Excellent cakes, coffee, food. Well located in Queens Road, near the end of Pembroke. Go!!

We were staying nearby for a weekend in Bristol & had been heading down to the shops near the Triangle to find somewhere for brunch. We happened to walk by Starlings & it looked lovely so went in. I can't recommend it highly enough as everything was fantastic. Great service, super tasty food beautifully presented and one of the best tasting Flat Whites I think I've ever had (found out as we were were leaving that they roast their own beans). They couldn't have been more helpful as I didn't want a big serving so they let me choose an off-menu combination. The smashed avocado with peas & pea shoots was particularly tasty topped with a poached egg & pickles. I hope more people find Starlings as it's an independent cafe and based on our experience deserves to do really well. So much better value than having coffee & a panini in a chain coffee shop!

First time at this cafe where we had freshly made croissants and jam on a breakfast stop. Both very tasty. Coffee great too. We were so impressed we came back for lunch which was even better. The best mushrooms on toast I’ve had. Super tasty. The sort of food you’ve always wanted to eat, well now you can.

The food is fantastic. I came once as I was passing through but it was so good I had to come back. Delicious, quick and reasonably priced. The staff are lovely too!

Very nice clean cafe with a cool vibe. We didn't know you had to order at the bar and pay up front but soon found out. Bruch was very tasty and the OJ was freshly squeezed. If we visit Bristol again this will be on our list, not only for brunch.

Came here with friends for bottomless brunch. Service was really attentive and our glass was never empty! Brunch was amazing. We all had the burrata, and it was lovely with lots of flavour in the dressing. Drinks include Bloody Mary's, which were made well. We are definitely going back, and I have recommended to other friends. Lovely decking area outside for sunny days.

A small single-shot cafe macchiato is £3, compared to c. £2 at all the other places. However, it's nice to see an independent cafe in the area and the food looked quite good.
