Visited here just before 7pm last night for a pre theatre coffee and had the unfortunate experience of needing to use the only toilet there. If I hadn’t been desperate I wouldn’t have done. The floor was soaking with what I could only hope was water, there was no soap in the dispenser and when I closed the lid of the toilet to flush it there was urine pooled at the back of it. There was loo roll on the floor and it was generally dirty. The board said it was check at 3.15pm. I told the guy at the counter that it was disgusting and his reply ‘Oh no, not again, I’m so sorry.’ How about spending 5 mins every hour checking it instead of being sorry? So glad I had hand sanitiser in my bag - a generous dollop was used! Shame on you if you used this toilet and left it in this state. Shame I had to give my review 1 star. Just to add, it wasn’t the best coffee I’ve had in a Starbucks it had hardly any taste to it which isn’t the usual standard. The next step of this review asks me to submit a photo of my visit but it would put you off your food if you’re eating!

This was our first visit back to both the centre of Manchester and this Starbucks since October 2019. It is very conveniently situated for the Opera House. When we arrived around 17:30 it was not especially busy. We both picked the cheese toastie and a coffee. The toastie was grilled very quickly and was very hot and tasty. The coffee was also hot. The staff were all very friendly and polite. Tables were cleared and sanitised regularly. The air con was a bit over zealous. It would appear that we had lost all our points on the starbucks card having not visited for so long! It suited our needs for a quick snack before the theatre.

I often call in for a coffee on the way into work. Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good choice of coffee and pastries.

After arriving early for Adams family at the Opera house we decided to pop in for coffee. It was very dated and not very clean ? The floors was sticky with mopping with dirty water and all the table bases was thick with dust. The staff was more interested in there own conversation than serving the customers. The cup of cappuccino large was 50% hot milk and 50% froth 4 or 5 mouthfuls and it was gone? And my wife’s cappuccino was all coffee and no froth? Disappointed?

The service & staff were pleasant. The food was little better than mediocre. The most outstanding aspect of this experience of eating at Greggs, Cherry St Birmigham was the filthy condition. There were straws on the seats. Servietes on the floor and ripped up sugar containers, all littering the floor. The place wasn't that big and would only have taken 3 or 4 minuets to clean. I asked how they can serve people food in such a dirty environment. I was told they were too busy to clean. I said what about the 2 people in the back, that I could clearly see. She siad do you want to go and ask them? I declined. They have got their priorities wrong. Clean first, serve food second, but then I suppose it's all about making money. I certainly won't go back, and nor will I go to another Greggs.

I had the vegan breakfast which exceeded my expectations, although I felt the placement of a spring roll and falafel was quite random. It was the first time I tried tofu and it was extremely nice. Even the toast was spot on! For £6, it was good value for money, especially knowing I could eat everything in the cafe without having to worry. The smoothies were nice too, but were a bit more like juice since they weren’t as thick as a smoothie. I really enjoyed the vibe of the cafe as everyone was so friendly there, it really reminded me of a cafe I used to work at with its chill atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back. They’re also on this fantastic app called ‘Too Good To Go’ which gives you the food a place has leftover at the end of the day at a reduced price so that it doesn’t go to waste! Definitely check it out if you want to save food from being wasted, or just fancy a surprise for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Friendly and welcoming little cafe. Lovely coffee, good service, best cakes. We had the banana bread -moist, spiced and topped with nuts and seeds- and an iced lemon polenta cake also delicious.

Revisited the cafe a couple of times last year. First in Oct where I had a sausage and egg on toast and some tea. Nothing remarkable as the sausage was of the cheap variety. Bought a couple of slices of the fruit cake which looked nice to take away and it wasn't bad! Staff were really nice and there was seating at the back, beyond the store front. Second time was for breakfast after a morning walk. We ordered 2 breakfasts - can't remember which but they were huge! Very impressed when it arrived and the sausages were of much better quality. Very pleased with what we had then but sadly the cafe isn't open as early now so we can't really go before work like we were able to in the past. The cafe has been closed for a while now but hopefully we will be able to visit for brekkie when it reopens.
