Starbucks - Dundee Kinnoull in Dundee City

Rude, passive aggressive "manager" who would rather argue over a difference of 20p/the addition of mocha sauce to a customized drink and just make up a blatant lie that he could hear a headset conversation. All with a customer who goes at least two/three times a week, and has done for the last 5 years, than resolve the problem. Terrible customer service. Made a formal complaint and won't be back. Place is always absolutely filthy anyway.

Had a misunderstanding over a drink order but instead of attempting to engage in any form of customer service the old bloke claiming to be the manager chose to stand and argue for five minutes. Incredibly rude and unfriendly staff.

Great wee stop off for coffee and cake.

This is easily the best Starbucks location in the Dundee or Angus areas - consistently extremely clean and organised with well-managed food hygiene, a comfortable and appealing seating layout and helpful staff.

Lovely friendly atmosphere. Staff member Rhi is always consistently helpful and friendly .

Ordered 2 large caramel frappuccines with coffee, they were the worst we have ever had. They were just ice with cream on top with a little bit of caramel sauce on top of the cream. Apart from the cream the rest was tasteless, just a waste of £10.80.

Staff seem more interested in gossiping about each other over their headsets than actually working it seems. Tried ordering a cortado and instead received what looked like a small cappuccino. Staff clearly need at least both interpersonal and menu training. Easily worst Starbucks in the city.

They're phone service was unelectable they didn't answer the phone and it went to voice mail get phone xx

Service is shocking here order 2 drinks and 2 food item for the 2 food item to come first then 1 of my drink to then get asked 5 minute later if am still waiting on something when it's the same women that took my order as other staff to busy in the back having a laugh over the head set. Really need to work on their mocha just taste like bitter coffee.

Ordered an iced salted caramel and maple latte, it came hot. Not necessarily just eats fault

The tables are always dirty but that’s literally every Starbucks I’ve ever been to. They always seem understaffed. Lovely drinks, great to try the new autumn menu. Friendly staff and lots of doggles, which kept my child amused!

Continually items wrong or missing items

Ordered an iced white mocha and got a hot white mocha delivered. Which wouldn’t be as much of a problem if I actually liked the hot version of the drink. But I don’t. Nearly £10 on one coffee down the drain. Staff need to learn to read

Not Starbucks fault. Ordered 2 coffees and 2 croissants whilst working from home. Noticed it said delivered 10 mins ago so asked my partner if it had arrived. He said the door hadn’t gone. He’s checked the whole street and nothing on anyone’s doorsteps. What’s the point in a delivery code if the driver doesn’t ask for it. Assuming someone has taken it in at a wrong address. Now have to wait to get any resolution, don’t particularly want to spend £20 for it to not arrive again

Visited at 0730, every table was dirty and the toilets were disgusting. Clearly hadn't been cleaned recently, generally a grotty overall appearance and feel.

Delivery driver left order at door, no knock no door bell. Had to check app to see that it was delivered without me knowing!

coffees had all leaked and were barely full. The cookie which was soaked by coffee spillage was left inedible

Didn’t get my reusable cold cup

Ordered 2 Frappuccino’s and I’m well aware I it’s crushed ice (however as a gold reward member of Starbucks for years I know how they normally come served but this time it was very poor /hardly any taste of coffee /cremebrulee etc .was just like a a cup full of crushed ice (even after stirring it . Disappointing guys sorry 👎

Avoid this Starbucks like the plague if you want a correct order - ordered X2 strawberry & cream Frappuccino and a cookies & cream Frappuccino. Only the small strawberry & cream arrived and looked like pink tap water. Disgusting. Very convenient that you can never reach them on the phone either. Still waiting for £14 refund :)

Coffee was ok but not piping hot. Why are dogs allowed in the place and all over the chairs!? They're not guide dogs, just moronic owners who think everyone wants dog hairs all over their food and clothing. Not even sure this isn't a breach of some sort of food hygiene standards.

Very noisy. Staff all wear headsets and you are unsure if they are taking your orders or not. Not friendly and quite abrupt with serving

Great for coffee, drive through for quickness or sit in for comfort. In the busiest times, I would suggest not trying to do any work or reading hear as it can get load, but chilled the rest of the time. Staff are nice

There was no food when we visited which was disappointing. Otherwise it's a nice and modern store.

A typical Starbucks. The location is very convenient as it can be accessed by both north and south lanes of A90. Quite spacious, but sometimes it can be very busy. Parking is free and has plenty of spaces.

Great experience. I.have to.mention Niamh who provided first class service, she really went beyond the norm, taking time to adapt my order so the coffees we received were perfect!

Driver come to my door with a greggs and not a Starbucks and claimed there was nothing he could do about it as he was given a Greggs. Clearly someone else got the Starbucks. Tried to phone Starbucks but line is forever engaged and just eat asking if I took pics: no I didn’t because I rejected the order because I did not order a greggs!

Starbucks is Starbucks really. Friendly and helpful staff and the cafe and toilets are always clean. We don't usually spend much time inside as it's usually a pre or post doing things cuppa but never have any complaints.

Hopelessly understaffed, even at a quiet time. Staff making continual mistakes with customer orders. Nice environment, but service needs to improve dramatically. Visited again Sept 23. Utterly miserable and unfriendly service. Not good enough Starbucks.

I like this Starbucks slight different vibe here. Pin board for your pupachino pics and more room and space than other concessions in Dundee. Same service and products.

Love that you can bring your dogs in to sit, really makes the atmosphere warm and happy.

Went here Thursday 10th around 6pm communication unit outside was very faint both ways so that was difficult. The person at the reception of the delivery point for drive through was exceptionally rude. Just incredibly poor customer service. If you can't be pleasant to the public get a job elsewhere....

Missing caramel waffles from order.

It's Starbucks, you know what the food and drinks are like, except they NEVER have English Breakfast tea (I had to get it from Greggs last time I went 🤔). From an accessiblity perspective there are some issues. The accessible parking is in a crazy place (very often full, I'm sure staff park in it) and the drive through queue is frequently blocking it. Once I get my wheelchair out I then need to negotiate through the queuing cars to get in the (non-automatic) door. No hand sanitiser when I went in doesn't bode well for COVID-19 compliance. The toilets also have manual doors and (a personal bugbear of mine) the accessible toilet door closes on you as you try to get in it, grrrr.

Absolutely appalling service asked for a cappuccino with choc on top checked cup at drive through no chocolate asked server told that's all we have at moment walked away Not interested she was certainly not a trained barista Don't believe for one second that they had none obviously at 18.45 on Sunday to much effort Will not be back absolutely shocking service in 2023

Useless ordered a venti with extra and got a small with no extras and got refused refund despite photo proof. What a joke. You have one job. Clearly you don’t need an education to work here as no one can read.

Half the coffee gone because there was no seal on top of the cup. Man on the phone sounded extremely disinterested in resolving the issue beyond requesting a refund from just eat. Avoid!

£3.25 p for the smallest Flat white coffee ! I will buy a thermos flask and make my own .

Croissant was completely smashed and the drinks were half melted when they brought it out. Usually would give them a break but they weren't busy at all. There are better starbucks in Dundee.

This store has gone from bad to worse. Dirty toilets, unfriendly staff, quiet yet store is so bad, almost all tables dirty, floor sticky. Surely some kind of cleaning procedures could be set in place, bad when you feet is stuck to the floor and not in a good way😔 Are staff trained, shouldn’t be taking that long to make a drink.

though the drive thru was really busy and it took a while to order and get my drink, gabi couldn’t of been lovelier. she gave amazing customer service and i loved her energy

I was in store the other day and the three boys who were working were all soo friendly. I couldn’t quite catch the names of them but one was wearing a black polo-shirt and was training the other boy and talking him through things. It was nice to see him being nice to the younger lad and showing him the ropes of the job. (I work in a store down in Glasgow) it was great to see and you were able to tell just by listening that the guys really enjoy their job which from a customer POV is excellent. Another note is that the man in drive-thru is soo fast!! All in all the coffee was spot on and it was a really enjoyable experience 💚

Me and my friend go every Monday but will now stop. We went in to order and 2 members of staff were cleaning. Kept looking at us but did not approach us. 5 minutes later I had to ask if anyone was serving and they both looked at each other and eventually took our orders. Another time we went in and staff were just rude. No smiling and didn’t listen to our orders. We feel like we are an inconvenience when we order and we will not order from another Starbucks as we are fed up of it with the very poor service. Cleanliness at the tables is also shocking.

Very slow. They prioritise the drive though. Also really bad at remembering to give your your food that you have paid for.

Second time I have been in recently. Tables not cleared. Staff serve drive thru customers first. I had difficulty using the app, assistant was of no help. Very poor customer service compared to other Dundee branches.

Popped I here on the way to Glasgow. Whilst taking orders was efficient, the preparation and heating of our pastries was excessive when compared with other Starbucks. However, this new location was better when driving south

Very dirty. Tables covered in cups and crumbs and needing wiped, bins over flowing with rubbish lying on the ground around it.

If I could zero stars for the service and atmosphere I would have, the staff are unhelpful and rude which leads to a bad atmosphere, they certainly would not work for me! Think the management need to get a grip of this and sort some staff training. We won't be back.

Don't put gluten-free and non gluten free in the same oven. Overdone the ham n cheese toastie not enjoyable to eat.

Absolutely horrendous service, no check back on order initially, which I thought was odd so I restated what I wanted. They gave me the wrong drinks, and when I raised it with the girl, she apparently didn’t seem to care. I was over charged for the wrong drinks.

Shocking service, literally serving as if they can’t be bothered doing anything.

Order 2 Lattes with sugar free Caramel syrup & both came with no syrup. Just ordinary lattes!

Customer service, no queue inside, be with you in a minute…. 5 minutes later still hadn’t been served🤬 walked out
