Starbucks Coffee in South Lanarkshire

A busy franchise on the motorway but you can get decent coffee and cakes.

This Starbucks is especially good. The staff were lovely and the food and drink was wonderful. I especially enjoy the vegan mango bircher museli, amazing.

Really lovely place and the baristas did amazing going 100 miles an hour - especially the lad on the till (didn’t get his name). Coffee was spot on and the food was good. Could do with better staffing for when it gets really busy.

Being a motorway service station outlet it was OK.

Disgusting, sociology, untidy, arrogant workers and cleaning products in the area where the sugars and coffee stir sticks are.

Caitlin saw me sitting outside the cafe in the main services area for hours having broken down and waiting for Mercedes to respond and invited me in to get warm with a free coffee. Thank you soooooo much. Lovely gesture from a great employee Starbucks. It’s a pity Mercedes assist and Europe car aren’t as good!

Felt so sorry for the 3 people working behind the counter here who were so under-staffed. The queue was massive. They did a superb job and dealt with the impatient customers really well. The management needs to rethink their rotas.

On the way home to durham from Glasgow, it was 9am so early morning visit. I was given excellent service and a warm/polite greeting by Hayley which is very refreshing at that time of day.

10 min queue to wait to be served, then to be told 2 double espressos would take a further 10 mins. Starbucks, you make loads of money but can't afford to make a quick coffee quickly!! This is not the fault of the 2 people working as they did the best possible but they need more staff as its not fair on just 2!!

Although not many people using the place, service very slow, only one person doing everything.

Really nice coffee but very expensive, probably because it's located at services.

I like Starbucks but this one at Abington Services operates in the Scottish way. Four staff behind the counter but only one working. Then the penny dropped that a queue was forming. Poor service but still great coffee.

Q out the door. Staff working at snails pace. And only trained team members on. 15mins to order and 10 mins for toasties!!! What a mess this place is

We stopped off on our travels at 6.27am. 4 lovely coffees. Super friendly service, they refilled our hot water for our baby and even washed out the nuby so we can use it on our next stop off. Thank you for making travelling a little easier for us. I didn't catch the name of the lady who served us unfortunately.

OK, and it was a motorway service. But I much prefer Costa or Greg's coffee

Probably the worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to. Ordered Flat White and the coffee I received was more like instant coffee with way too much milk. It’s not the fault of the staff, they are doing their best in a tough environment. Too many customers, too small a shop to work in.

Decent staff with excellent services make average food to quality food.

The staff here is overwhelmed and cannot cope with the volume of orders, in turn lowering the service quality, example, I have brought my own reusable cup for them to prepare the coffee into, instead they gave it back after 10 min and gave me a regular cardboard cup, also I’m pretty sure they are loosing money on that. Would avoid in the meantime, not green…

Nice place but hard to find free table during busy times.

Very good staff but the poor guys were up against it with no card machine and a shortage of crockery. But kept smiling and doing their best. Well done

I don't typically post negative reviews however there were issues on my visit. The staff were great, the queue moved quickly which is important for a coffee shop in a motorway service station. Unfortunately, for whatever reason my coffee ended up tasting like mouthwash, and I was back on the motorway before I discovered this.

Probably the most unwelcoming Starbucks. Cold and opted for take out. Coffees were not labelled correctly so after 10 mins back on motorway found that the drinks had wrong sugar etc. What a waste of £10!! Will be stopping at the Starbucks at Gretna services in future ... Suggest anyone reading this does the same if they haven't passed Gretna already!

Slowest Starbucks with the lazyest staff. One particular girl "Hollie" spent over 7 minutes just talking to a colleague despite queues out of the doors

Service was slow and it wasn’t even busy and when I got my drink it tasted good but it was half filled and barely at room temperature, won’t be going back

This has to be the slowest Starbucks in Scotland. I know it was busy but really should be quicker.

Americano with extra shot was very weak! Asked for black but got it with milk. Flat white was also very weak. Very poor.

If you want a strong coffee, don't bother with Starbucks. The same the world over, not very strong.

Dirty tables at retail park Glasgow staff should be more organised.allways have a member of staff cleaning tables.

Swindled with the ''I do not have change for your 20, I will be back''. The whole team seems to be involved, the ''manager'' found the cash register to be fine and camera images ''not showing anything''. Beware of the short young blond girl, pay with a bank card if possible, any escalation after the natural theft will not bring you any satisfaction, you will get laughed in your face by a natural born thief.

The staff got my name rong and we're quite agrigento when I placed my order,,after every coffee they told me the price and didn't even finish my order,,had to ask I can order more drinks 3 times,,worst visit ever

Not busy but lots of dirty tables. Sat at comfy seat assuming that because there were 4 staff on that 1 would come and clear/ wipe table . Nope. Cleared it ourselves and we were given our coffee and hot chocolate in takeaway cups?? Coffee was good but hot chocolate decidedly average. Not impressed.

Starbucks franchise that was clean, tidy and well presented. It's a franchise so prices are a good bit higher than the average Starbucks and they don't accept loyalty cards or orders through the app. Staff seem to cope well with the brisk level of trade and, despite a queue, we didn't wait that long. Staff also seemed friendly and happy to help. It would never be my first choice of Starbucks due to the inflated service station prices, but then, you don't have the choice, hence the premium!

Good quality coffee. Service far to slow in general and there appears more staff behind the counter than customers waiting. Staff constantly chatting amongst themselves. Leading to a little frustration for the customers.

As ever the coffee is as weak as (.......) - insert your own simile! Wish there was a Costa!!!

Really hot and stuffy in here. The floor was filthy as were the seats and I resorted to cleaning an area myself so I could sit down.

They serve coffee and teas for inflated prices, exactly what I expected to be honest. For the price of a babychino I would have expected a Marshmallow or a flake but I was disappointed on that end.

This is where Starbucks derailed. Must be the worst SB ever. Had to wait forever for a coffee.

Gave me wrong size. They ran out of straws. Also, forgot to refill the milk canisters. Only used one cash register even though they could have used two as lines were so long. Poorly run Starbucks.

Understaffed with only 2 people serving. Queue was at least a dozen deep.

Perfectly acceptable coffee and bacon roll. Bit pricey, but only what I'd expect on the motorway.

I'm not a massive Starbucks fan to be honest prefer a competitor but we needed to pull off the motorway for a bit for a rest as the kids were restless. Coffee was ok, but pricey as you expect at a services.

Bought a filter coffee and it tasted like mudwater. It was far too strong and I like my coffee strong!!

Jazz music overloud. Male staff member Louder Still. All I wanted was one of your excellent Latte's. Got that but after stating Exactly what I want I had to answer everything I'd already stated which was interspersed with whether he should or shouldn't have worn his Santa hat. But he decided to wear it tomorrow. Customers like a warm welcome but not overdone. As for Christmas just because the shops are selling now. Just wait till CHRISTMAS to wear your hats.
