Really quick service and polite staff

You many dogs around in there..... barking, yapping and they smell, what happens of they mess on the floor beside people eating? Nahhhh not a place for animals in a food establishment, and there was bunch of roudy teenagers was shouting and telling in there too, and another place that only tales card not cash what's that all about?

So lovely to go for coffee somewhere and take in the dog! Thoroughly enjoyed my coffee, which was hot and strong just the way I like it. Doggo enjoyed his puppachino too 🐶

I visit this starbucks whenever I come to Saffron Walden on market day. The staff are always kind and polite. The drinks are nice too. ☕

Slipped on a metal grid in the rain, managed to get to Starbucks , called for a first aider, she sat me down raised my leg, put a massive ice pack on it and kept coming over to see if I was OK, had my friend with me so didn't need much help from first aider. Would like to thank you to the first aider, I'm now in A&E ,had x-ray, waiting to see if ankle broken 😀 😄

Just wanted to say thank you to the lovely employees working here yesterday. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon with a complicated 18 hot drink order and they didn’t bat an eyelid, were super helpful with getting them to a manageable place (cup holders, double lids, napkins wedged around the cups) and even carried them to the car for us. All in a record time! Thanks so much ladies, we got them back without a drop spilt!!

Standard Starbucks, quite clean but full of kids from the local school. Service was efficient and workers were kind.

Was in Saffron Walden for 2 weeks. Enjoyed my morning walk for coffees and toasties. By the end of the stay Victoria knew my name and order! Thanks for looking after me Victoria and team. Great coffee and service :-)

Unfortunately since lockdown they don't take cash which is a shame apparently its a franchise and the staff say they will not be taking cash again you will have to use either debit or credit card or phone app . I am a regular in there have been for last 7 or 8 years . I like the coffee so will keep going but I wish they would start taking cash again

Spacious, friendly staff. Unfortunately not much vegetarian food to choose from.

Very lazy staff, dirty cups and plates everywhere. For the amount we paid it was poor. Wasn't very busy so can't understand why.

Staff don't bother cleaning up. Seats are uncomfortable. Hope it folds so we can get a better coffee shop back.

Dirty, served coffee in paper cups food in a bag, nowhere to sit and over priced. Service was quicker than usual though.

What terrible service! The place is not very clean Was staying in No plate for sandwich hot chocolate served with cream in a take away cup! So all cream pushed into cup When I questioned female was quite short and sharp said that’s all we are doing today Could they not have said in first place would not have bothered Won’t use again

The muffin was great sorry to say I can't say the same about the coffee. I'm a Starbucks fan but something was off at this branch this day. Still it was warm the staff friendly and most important of all it wasn't raining inside.

One of the worst in the world. I've been a Starbucks lover for decades. I've been to Starbucks all over the world and this one is by far the worst. They layout, cleanliness, full bins, dirty chairs and tables, opening hours, they never have a different roast on the drip. And the worst part, is when I asked for a French press coffee they said they didn't do that here. 5 minutes later the area Manager is having a French Press coffee. What a joke. Now, by some stupid sense of loyalty, I'm having a weak Americano. Such a shame. The Philippines and Vietnam have much better Starbucks than here. Disappointing.

I would have given it 5 stars but it is Starbucks after all, however most of the staff are great with a few fantastic members such as Sally who demonstrate excellent public interfacing skills with seemingly supportive team leadership as well. Service is usually prompt unless a customer is causing problems.

No oat milk for two days straight, could the management not use their initiative and pop to Tesco and get some??? Shame as their Grande Oat Vanilla Latte are pretty good.

Excellent service. Filtered coffee wasn't an issue like in another stores and seemed to even taste better than anywhere else.

Starbucks is my preferred coffee. Yet it still needs to be made with a bit of care and knowledge. My flat white at Saffron Walden was just sloppy. No attention to temperature, texture or any care. I dont like Costa but at least their Baristas appear to be trained.

Coffee is always milky and taste of warm water & frothy milk - quite sickening-some of the people working there have been there far to long - they updated the shop - but unfortunately kept some of the old uninterested dull staff - it’s just a piss poor Starbucks

Our favourite place in town for tea, coffee and caramel wafers. Hopefully we will be able to come back soon, we miss the nice staff, the peace and the fact that all doggies are warmly welcome!

Comfy seating and great location. Good place for mums and toddlers to meet.

Every table covered in rubbish and cups, domino's packets on some tables, one member of staff looks horrendously hungover, whilst the other munches on said domino's with her mates. Go to Costa or Maze!

Rainy day in Saffron Waldon. Time for a cup of tea. Three cafes didn’t let us in because of our nice and very well behaved dog. Shame on all of them☹️ But Starbucks welcomed us and loved our dog. Well done. We will always look now for a Starbuck😀👍

Guy that took my order had a cold or hey fever, kept rubbing nose with hand.Girl that made my drinks order talking about getting a new job with customer/friend, also had to ask her to refill chocolate power pot that was empty. Could have been better.

As a regular customer of Starbucks in Saffron Walden I must express my huge dissapointment of not being able to have black tea or coffee for the past week due to equipment breakdown. Surely this isnt acceptable.

Nice, polite and quick service at the till but... The store was dirty, plenty of dirty cups, plastics. Nearly couldn't find a table without rubbish. Mind you it felt like they were closing but it was another hour before.

Always enjoy the coffee here. (Americano with room for milk) but it did taste a little stronger today. Not my best visit hopefully better next time

Not a bad place for a quick sit down and to have a drink, overall my experience was ruined by youths in there talking about how they vandalised places and generally being rude, some of the staff there had no manners and kept looking around talking to each other instead of serving even though they saw you standing there. If these issues was addressed then it would be 5* instead of 3*

Popped in here on New Year’s Day. Coffee and muffins good and not too punchy on price but clearly none of the staff wanted to be there and service was appalling and at one point incredibly rude.

Many mornings spent here with my favourite coffee ( caramel mac) and friends.nice relaxed atmosphere & friendly staff. My dogs also now regulars

Not been in a starbucks in a while, pn the strength of this one i won't be back either, shop is filthy basic cleaning not being done and a thick layer of dust over the food storage cabinets. The sink in the preperation area is brown stainless steel and a soap free toilet just to put a cherry on it. I would be ashamed to work here.

Just good coffee 2 mths ago, i don't know what has happened but the service is terrible and you don't get what you ordered, and because of the waiting time you really can't be bothered to ask them to put it right, terrible

Not a great experience. Was there with my 9 month old daughter under one arm. Staff seemed disinterested and there was no offer to help carry coffee across or point out high chairs. Plenty of other coffee shops in the area I would recommend above this particular franchise.

I have visited Starbucks in Saffron Walden today lunch time. There was hardly any food to choose from, the coffee was exceptionally bad and bitter and the service also wasn't impressive. No the usual standard. Today I was very disappointed with the visit.

Coffee not up to Starbucks' standard. Wifi network difficult to connect to (tried with 2 phones). Staff on till slow & not listening to orders properly.

Tables are always filthy. One member of staff removed some empty cups but didn't wipe the 5 tables he could see was dirty. Coffee is as you would expect from Starbucks.

It's a very nice place but unfortunately very untidy. All the tables filled with leftovers and the baby changing facility is incredibly dirty when opened.

Beware of them charging you 8 times for one drink....happened to me 6 times in 3 months....stilll waiting to be refunded..check your bank statement if you buy there you could be ripped off now they are actively employing illegal migrants over locals as a policy so I recommend boycotting starbucks from now on

Busy place, in old building so access to some areas for wheel chairs & baby bugger is not possible, but does have disable toilets & baby changing

It's a relatively standard branch as far as what is available. Instead of being in a modern building, it's in a standard old building. This means a good assortment of sitting places from bar stools at a bench and comfy leather chairs.

Welcome addition to Saffron Walden. What you'd expect really from the large chain of coffee shops. But is a nice place to relax and has friendly staff

Staff are always friendly, and after a while may even start to prepare your drink before you reach the counter! Always a pleasure to be served by any staff members within, and always greeted with a smile!

Quite a good Starbucks, could do with more places to sit especially some sofas. WiFi is often poor.
