What a fab place. The food the staff all xlnt. Such a warm and welcoming place.

Service was great staff members were friendly and attentive, unfortunately it doesn’t taste anything like authentic Thai food… visited a few months ago and had their 2-course menu, the pad Thai noodles were mushy and bland, the portion was like leftover scraps :/

We stayed in the bar had a bar meal. The food was not the best my husband ordered the Massaman Beef Curry. He got 2 small potatoes and 2 small pieces of beef in a bowl with lots of sauce was more like a child's portion. We won't be back in a hurry.

Came for our wedding anniversary and had the banquet for 2. It was beautiful and will definitely be back. Thank you so much

My favourite place. The food is always amazing. And reasonably priced. Can't fault this place at all.

The food was very poor don't get lemon chicken the sauce was like lemon curd the noodles if u hit someone with them they'd knock u out the red curry had half bag suger in it it was awful don't go there.

What beautiful meal and night out,we tried the banquet for 4 and were not let down. Highly recommended. Staff very friendly and excellent service , even swapped a main course on the set menu for us . Definitely will be back .

First time visiting - fantastic value, beautiful food and some little touches which really top it off (i.e comfortable seats, details in food presentation). Staff were also friendly.

Last night, I ventured into the world of Thai cuisine for the first time and it was a remarkable experience. I ordered the Masaman curry with fried rice, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavours were perfectly balanced, offering a tantalising taste that has left me eager for more. This was my first time trying Thai food, and this restaurant has set the bar high. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The food is very good and consistently good have had many take aways and also meals inside. Authentic Thai with tasty properly cooked dishes. Best in Durham for me and I have tried all of them several times Nicely decorated authentic feel thai Proper thai chefs Prices good also ! cannot fault this place No delivery, just pick up. Very busy and disorganised, lots of backed up drinks glasses littered the bar. We sat down at 7:15pm and we’re still waiting for starters at 8:15pm. Food was ok just a shame about the service.

Excellent and above average Thai restaurant (with a pub attached next door). I started my evening with a pint of Brixton Pale Ale (hmmm!). Then I had a mixed starter to share (the ribs were particularly good). For the main dish, I had this duck dish with tamarind (healthy sized portion) with gultinous rice. Great service and tasty grub - recommended!

I've been wanting to come here for AGES. The food absolutely lived up to everything I was hoping for and the restaurant is lovely. All the staff are super friendly too. It's all quite slow but it's very fresh which I assume is why.

Great restaurant with delicious food. Went here with my wife and kids for my wife's birthday a year ago and then again last night. The staff were really friendly even walking my son to the bathroom when he couldn't find the way. The food was great. Everything I tried tasted like time and attention had been paid to it. I'm glad that standards remained high a year later. We had the the Siam sharer and the duck sharer to start which were great. For our mains we had prawn pad Thai, lemon chicken, prawn n broccoli and stirfryed beef. The standout to me was the prawn pad Thai but the crispy noodles with the lemon chicken deserve a shout out. In terms of the decor, the restaurant looked beautiful at first glance, following the Thai theme well with bamboo planters, sculptures and even a water feature in the centre. Looking out the windows across the fields you can see all the way to Penshaw monument. Overall i would go back as i definitely enjoyed my time there.

Been coming here years, sadly tonight felt let down! We asked to swap a soup on the set menu. After checking with Chef, the server advised ‘no’ as the chef did not have time. Funnily he/she had time when we paid for it extra from A’ La Carte. We have always been able to swap soup before on the menu. Very disappointing especially when we have been regularly coming to restaurant and was my wife’s birthday too :(

The food here is always fantastic. Great service from very friendly staff. 🤩Definitely recommend the Massaman Curry and Ribs! We’ve ordered takeaway before which is just as good. The Highfield is also dog friendly in the bar area where you can order food, we did see a yappy sausage dog there on one visit. There’s a small outside seating area out the front which is nice in the summer; would benefit from a bin store around the side (car park area). Will be back for more cheesecake!

We had the royal banquet set meal for 2. Really enjoyed every course. I tend to compare Thai restaurants I go to by how good the Tom yum soup is. This is full of flavour.

Back to the Highfield for some exquisite Thai food, every morsel was delicious, so lucky we live close to it.

The Thai food here are very delicious, i ordered the Siam fried rice and TomYum to try out, the portion of the rice is considered big for me and both dishes are good, the Tomyum is a bit different from other restaurants i visited in UK and have its unique taste

Our first visit and we were delighted with the food, the staff and the ambiance. We would highly recommend this establishment for authentic Thai food served by fantastic staff. We will be back very soon.

Despite a booking mix up (by us, not them), staff went out of their way to make space for an unexpected large party. Food was great; good variety and nicely spiced. Service was prompt and friendly. Great views over the country side.

Absolutely terrible!!!! Avoid at all costs. This is not Thai food this is rubbish. They serve ketchup as sweet chilli sauce and say that people prefer it???? The food was terrible. Never again.

This place is soooo good, I've forgotten to take pictures of the pork starter, and the curry main dish I had. Only got to take photos of the dessert I had, which was a vanilla and fudge ice cream and that's what you see in this pic and this is just £4.50! The value for money in this place is a class worthy of its own! 👍👍

Mother's Day menu 2 courses for 18 quid only 5 starters and 5 mains to choose from. Took ages for starters after eventually took order. Got charged for a extra portion of chips we didn't have which the same waitress who took our order so check your bills. Food was tasty but very small portions and not wooow

Main menu extensive. We were a party of 6 and all ordered different. Definitely no complaints. All the food was delicious with generous portions served by very friendly staff. Will be visiting again

My husband and I eat here regular, lovely food, staff very friendly and very reasonable pricing.

Disappointing. Went with a small group, had the set menu. Mediocre. TBH I've had better Chinese takeaways . Was charged £2:80 for a large glass of soda water. The only uninspiring options for dessert were cheesecake or ice cream so asked for a decaff cappuccino, but was told no decaff coffee available, even plain filter, only instant Nescafé - I didn't bother! I suggest you don't bother going here, I won't be returning!

We arrived for our reservation at 18:30. We walked out at 18:35. Choice of 5 starters, 5 mains, ice cream and cheese cake. The menu is nothing like advertised on website. No authenticity at all. Restaurant looks tired. Hasn't been decorated/updated in a long time. We won't return here.

Amazingly good restaurant. Food was utterly delicious, good portions and very reasonably priced too. Staff all very friendly and helpful too. Recommended!

Online booking was really easy & no hassle pickup. Unfortunately the whole family thought the food was bland & highly priced. First time trying food from here & Unfortunately won't be going back.

Hideous! We had a duck stir fry which was basically duck fat in water and a crying tiger which was supposed to be crying hot. Turned out to be plain bits of overcooked beef. Robbed blind tonight.

Excellent food and service both in restaurant and on takeaway - The menu is vast and never fails to disappoint or fall short of anything. Will be visiting for the second time this month, as the staff kindly awarded a 21% discount on all orders to customers who ordered during lockdown to support local businesses!

Lovely food presentation, good service and wonderful tastes of Thailand. Having gone back for my birthday meal, and being served what seemed like scraps and leftovers, I have changed my review to one star, although it doesn't even deserve that! I was hugely disappointed and will never return. Sad, as the first visit was so good! Oh well, I'm sure we won't be missed. Go with this warning

Very nice food great deal attentive staff no rush

We've been going here for about 30 years. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. It was busy on a Monday night in August because of the Government's deal but all still lovely.

Nice food took too long for food

We've been eating here for over 10 years and never had a bad meal yet. Food is always without doubt 5*. Staff are always welcoming too. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Huge menu to choose from. You'll not regret booking your meal here best food by far

So after reading lots of good reviews we decided to order our first and last delivery. We got a combination platter which was ok apart from the satay chicken which was dry and overcooked. Our mains were both really bland although the carrots were chopped nicely. If it hadn't been for the chili sauce that came with the platter I could of ate half of what I did.i wouldn't recommend you order from here , try your local takeaway better food for cheaper

Restaurant in Highfield Hotel. One of two One usual pub grub. One Thai menu. Good atmosphere, good service, friendly staff. It is possible to have evening meal and stay overnight for about £75 for two. We visit regularly for lunch. Plenty parking.

Nice restaurant. Nothing really wrong with except that it's a bit takeaway like for the sit down prices.

Can't reccomend this place enough. Such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Great service, amazing food and reasonably priced. Apart from the above, one of the things I love about this restaurant is the space and privacy - no one sitting on top of you.

I wasn't sure what to have for dinner tonight, but OMG did i make the correct decision here. Fresh food, beautifully prepared and extremely tasty. I applaud the attitude of this restaurant cutting out plastic cutlery to take aways, as their effort to be more environmentally friendly, and will definitely be eating here again on my next visit. Exceptional food giys.....well done!

Went for a booking at 20:45 waited almost 45 minutes for our starters to come out, and then almost half an hour after that we got out mains. Food was good but we waited so long
