Star Express in Sutton

Food very good as always. Servhave been going for many years. Can't fault it always plenty to eat. Food always nice and hot. Good value for money.

Nice cafe however a few small issues my nephew tried the pancakes with maple syrup they did not taste nice and they are small so ordered the kids chicken nuggets and again did not eat them as they was not nice I hinted/jokingly told the waitress when paying that we did not eat them items and she said that there is nothing she can do in terms off taking them off the bill which is fine I would have paid for them anyway but maybe the final price could have been discounted a tiny bit. Chips was really nice as well as the strawberry milkshake.

My wife had just received treatment at St Helier Hospital and we went into the Star Express and sat down. We ordered and received our meal and was surprised how big the plate was filled. We were both hungry so the size of meal was welcome. The fish on my wife’s’ dinner was massive and she was very happy with the freshness of the fish and how well it tasted. My own dinner Corned Beef, double egg & Chips. I ended up with three eggs as one had a yoke which was too hard, so the chef gave me an extra one. I speak for both my wife and myself that the meal was big, tasted excellent and the Table Service was brilliant. We both recommend the Star Express 5 stars and wish to thank them very much for a lovely meal.

Went today after a long wait a as usual food was lovely lovely lovely. The only thing I dont like is the portions are way 2 big and I feel bad leaving food. Staff lovely and food is good value. I've been going there for almost 20 years a NEVER had a bad meal. This is definitely the carlsberg of cafes

This cafe is amazing and the food is the best the staff are friendly. Please try this cafe it's the yummiest. If you try it Wright a review on ur day. The milkshakes are so yummy.

Have been coming here regularly for the past few months since my old regular closed. The food is wonderful. The fish and chips is better than most specialist eateries. The chicken delight is amazing, cooked just how you like it - you only have to ask. The salads are fresh, crisp and varied - not just lettuce, tomato and onion. The hot veggies are fresh - not out of tins. Even the condiments are plentiful and great quality. The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. The staff are friendly and helpful and nothing’s too much trouble. Sounds too good to be true I know but I’ve never had such consistently good quality anywhere. Deserves not 5 but 10 stars.

Very clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great choice on menu. We chose individual items instead of set breakfasts, which they were happy to oblige. Very reasonable priced and large portions. Very quick service. Local to St Helier hospital and local shops.

Went in one Sunday ordered the roast dinners, 2 lamb 1 chicken.Fresh veg they where lovely, well worth a try. Best roast we have had in a cafe.5☆

If your ever passing or on a visit to St Heliers Hospital, the Star Express is clean with very friendly staff, good food at VERY reasonable prices I have just had the Lasagna, Chips and Salad and I would definitely recommend this to anyone, no skimping on portion size here

This cafe serves a wide range of meals , sandwiches and rolls which are served quickly and efficiently and at reasonable prices .The cafe is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly. I particularly recommend the breakfasts.

This is a traditional reasonably priced cafe. Good place to visit for a full English breakfast. Staff were also friendly. I would eat here again.

A very large choice of food ranging from snacks to dinners, all at reasonable prices. The cafe was very clean and the staff helpful and obliging. Even a television to view whilst eating or drinking. When our meals arrived we were very pleased with both the portions and quality. Recommended. We would go again.
