Staines Fish & Chip Shop in Hounslow

Walked in and ordered my food (no problem) whilst waiting I watched the man that served me casually walk up to the bin and spitt into it, he then just casually wiped his hand across his beard and mouth before making the other customers burger and handle money without any attempt to wash his hands, Another member of staff came out from the back and also preceeded to wipe his gloved hand across his mouth before handling food and Another member of staff was walking around the back of the shop bear foot where the food is prepared, I won't use this place anymore as the staff hav have no idea about basic hygiene.

Tasty food and great service always!!! So clean and friendly . The kebabs are really tasty and the salad lovely and fresh . My daughter will not cod anywhere else it is always cooked perfectly and a great portion.

bought pie and chips meals the were burnt old and mouldy almost instantly as soon as we started eating myself and my kids had vomiting and diarrea !!! this is the worst dirtiest horrible shop that needs closing down and i will be taking action!!! never again wil we use this "chip shop"

The best Fish n Chips & Kebab shop in Hounslow the food is nice and so fresh and the Chicken Doner is piping hot, perfectly cooked and very tasty. i recommend you to try this as you will be amazed with the quality and the service Service over the phone is always polite, order repeated back so there is no confusion.

Let's play a game called 'Five truths and a lie'. You need to spot the lie: This is a terrible restaurant, it offers poor quality food, awful service, has little to no focus on hygiene and the staff treat customers with zero respect. You do get a free Ferrari with every order though.

Today i visited Staines fish shop purchased saveloy and chips not only was the customer service poor, but the quality of the saveloy was poor and tasteless. The chips were cold. I will never use the food shop again nor will i recommend this eating venue to any human being

The shop has changed hands and the food is a lot better,(it couldn't have got any worse, to be honest). Despite the shop advertising it takes food orders over the phone, it's constantly engaged. When you go to the shop and tell them they say it's a mistake and you. This has happened to me every week for the last 7 weeks. I thought it was a mistake once or twice but someone else walked in and said the same. It's a very poor service. When you go to the shop they only cook one order at a time. I've had to wait over half an hour just for a simple fish and chips, it's a ridiculous amount of time to wait

I purchased 3 meals from this chip shop after waiting 25 minutes from my order placed. I then received my food when got home to discover my food was all cold apart from the fishi purchased, along with the salovy was ice cold i only live 5 minutes drive away from this chip shop. It's safe to say i will never being using this takeaway again.

Got reheated stale chips - was told to wait 10 min while chips were frying. When i got home the chips were stale and re fried to warm them up again. Worse chips i have had . Will not be going there again

Great food... well worth the wait. Fresh and yummy. I have been there before but somwthing defintely changed very much improved quality food

We had lovely family meal... loved cod and chips. Food was fresh totally recommend. Chilly sauce is yummy not too hot just right not usual chilly sauce. Definitely would go again next week

Went here 2 weeks ago today for fish and chips. Wanted to order Haddock but they said they didn't have any so opted for cod and small chips instead. I've tried their fish and chips many times and although others complain about their food I can't say that have that much of a bad experience. Their saveloys aren't that great though. Can't really say that I have tried anything else off their menu. The member of staff who was serving served me a small portion of chips as requested. When he totalled up the total amount including 2 large cods he quickly charged me for large chips on the till thinking that I wouldn't notice. When I mentioned this he questioned me on whether I had requested large or small chips when only a minute earlier he had asked me what size portion I required. Beware next time you go for large ish order as they think that you will not notice small things like this and will try to over charge you.

This chip shop is so bad I've now refused to go there any more, pies are always over cooked, the chips are nasty tastings or you get a bag of bits not chips, a large piece of cod a is so small it looks like it was court out of the local canal and doesn't taste much better, watery tasteless saveloys, the place is crap and the staff are not bothered ether.

Ì have had 4 visits and today I really had the worst chips. I don't know how they are in business. I bought take away fish and chips by the time I got home which 2 mins away. As I got ready to eat and opened the raping the fish was grease and dripping of oil. THE CHIPS WERE HORRIBLE NEVER HAD CHIPS LIKE THAT. I went back to the CHIPPIEE AND showed the young guy the chips all did was refund me me chip money and no explanation even though it's happened before but I was lazy to go back. The chips seemed as though they were a day before and refried they were 60%of them were dry hard even to bite. NEVER AGAIN

Their chips are not tasty. Although they took a while to come out, they still weren't fresh? The chilli sauce wasn't good either. I would recommend the business to buy some new sauce & experiment with their cooking styles.

There was hardly any choice as there was no food ready. I ordered 2 portions of chips and he cooked 2 portions of chips there and then. (15 minutes). This was 6pm on Tuesday. You expect to wait for fish but a chip shop should have chips ready or nearly ready at tea time. I wouldn't have minded so much if the chips or indeed the other food was reasonably tasty. The skin on the saveloy was rock hard (Reheating again and again causes this) the pie was days old too. I can't find one good thing to say about this place except that I won't be going back. Even after a WW3 apocalypse I would steer well clear of here and walk miles in a nuclear rain to get to a decent chip shop.

This place is definitely nothing to rave about its just a chip shop and not a very good one,
