Lovely cosy little bar / pub. Always have a good time here .

Had a few drink while staying at the hotel and loved it. Traditional no thrills pub, superb real ales a great band playing and superb staff it a local style good old fashioned pub not a ponced up gastr pub just a good pub great beer good staff

We had a lovely meal at Stables and when one of the meals was not up to standard the bar manager Kirsty sorted everything out quickly and really made our evening special. We thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return when next at Weetwood Hall Hotel

Had lunch there today for the first time in years and I have to say why have I not been before!! Kirsty the pub manager was really friendly, it was set up really well and the courtyard fabulous! Really dog friendly and great place for sports! Will definitely be back soon. Pizzas and loaded fries lovely.

I'm sorry to say that we were disappointed. Food was cold and when we politely said we were never asked if we wanted an alternative or money back we just got funny looks and no apology. The people around us were obviously students and their language was disgusting which whilst trying to relax was very uncomfortable.

Comfortable chairs and friendly staff. Easy to register your car for free parking using mobile phone or screen on the bar.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. Wasn’t sure if it was members only for the car park as the signage was a bit confusing but once in the Stables pub, Kirsty, showed us how to just put our car reg onto the computer for free parking. We ordered the vegan bhaji bap and Kirsty told us that extra fries with that would be £2.50 so we ordered. Ordered two teas which came in a massive pot - very welcomed after our long drive. Vegan bhaji bap was delicious as was the fries. All at a real bargain price too compared to what we pay down south! Had a lovely chat with Kirsty and will return on our next trip to Leeds to try the vegan tart!

Dropped in here because the hotel is meant to have a good reputation. The food took ages to arrive and then they couldn't even get the fries right. Generally really disappointing. At least the barman, who was lovely, offered me a free drink!

My friend and I go back 38 years to our school days together and we had not caught up for some 30 of those years since. As luck would have it my friend was attending a conference at Weetwood Hall so it was the perfect opportunity for us to meet on site at Stables Pub as I am local resident to the public house here and I have enjoyed its hospitality more than once before. We settled to our drinks order - my friend with a can of fruit flavoured ale from the refrigerator and myself with a half a pint of on draught tap beer thank you. Since I first frequented Stables Pub when the local beers served on draughts included one of the county of Yorkshire's finest beers, Timothy Taylor's Landlord, support of further reduced carbon footprint local produce has distilled down to the provision of city of Leeds brewed craft ale beers. We settled in the larger lounge area rather than where I have supped in the past for example in one of the stable snugs. There were other people in attendance and a family atmosphere was welcomed. My friend and I were left to our own devices and the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere allowed us to catch up on thirty years of history in no time at all. Something that says it all. We were passing the stables so decided to call for lunch. The menu was very limited, which was disappointing. We were sat having our drink waiting for the food when a man came through the front door with some takeaway boxes......this was our food!! Which we then had to eat with wooden cutlery. Obviously the food is brought over from the hotel but really not what we expected. Don't think we will return.

Wanted somewhere in the area for family to meet, sit comfortably together with drinks and talk. Stables pub fitted the bill perfectly. Couldn't have chosen better.

Cracking pub away from the Hell of Headingley. Good selection of beers. Friendly staff. Brilliant sun trap in the courtyard.

Excellent bar manager, very welcoming

They recently changed their parking system, I’ve been going there for over 15 years and the staff did not inform customers of this change. Was there for just over 1 1/2 hours to meet a friend and got a letter today demanding £100 for a free car park for customers. This is a cash trap against locals who are used to many years of just parking. Will no longer be frequenting The Stables or Weetwood Hall.

Sin embargo, después de una cadena de quejas de nuestro personal, vehículos asaltados, ninguna cámara de seguridad en el estacionamiento y la mala educación del personal del hotel, incluso por correo electrónico, nunca hemos regresado, hasta ayer, pero solo para usar el bar. Llegamos justo después de las 11 a.m. y tuvimos que irnos a una reunión antes de las 12 p.m., por lo que fue solo una visita rápida. Nos dirigieron a una mesa y el servidor nos dijo que terminaría en breve. Después de 32 minutos y tres intentos de ordenar en el bar, llegaron nuestras bebidas, un café y una Coca-Cola Light. El bar no estaba ocupado, solo 4 mesas, incluidos nosotros, pero el servidor estaba distraído. ¡No volveremos y gracias a Dios que vimos para registrarnos en el estacionamiento en la recepción!

They no longer do food and no longer have customers

Nice pub, nice outside area, well kept beer, clever reg based parking system to ensure car park available for customers. Always quieter here than I'd expect. Crisps etc over a quid, so none for me as I draw the line at a quid.

We went for a few drinks on a Sunday evening. Lovely and cosy with the fire burning when we walked in. Kirsty was very welcoming and helpful when we chose our wine and we had a lovely evening. We were the only people in when we arrived and Kirsty offered to turn the music down so we could chat easily ( it was fine anyway) The customer service was excellent and we will be back again soon. Thanks 😊

New teepee in the courtyard, open fire. Really friendly service, yummy pies and real ales.

This pub dining experience just got worse and worse. There were two members of staff behind the bar neither of who greeted us on arrival. On being told we had booked a table we were pointed to it. That was it. No one bothered to say where the menus were, or how to go about ordering and this wasn't because it was busy. There was only us and one other small group in the place. Eventually when no one came over and l was sick of the inappropriately loud music blaring out of a speaker above the table, l went to the bar and asked where the menus were. I was pointed to a table with menus and cutlery and told to order at the bar. Having decided what we would eat, l placed my order with a morose youth with all the social skills of a stone. For some reason the request from one of our group to have his pizza without mushrooms stumped him and he had to take the order again in the presence of his colleague. He then took 15 minutes to pour 2 and a half pints of beer, which turned out to be sour. I was surprised when after some time he brought my starter of onion bahji to the table, slid it in front of me and walked off without a word. About 30 minutes after eating the undercooked bahji and having eaten our underwhelming, overpriced pizzas, l went to wash my hands, only to find that opening the tap resulted in a slow trickle of water. Hardly enough to wash the soup off. All told a rotten dining experience in a shoddy venue made worse by surly staff. Needless to say we wont return.

Lovely dog friendly bar, great service, clean thank you

Well,after 3 months of an anticipated wait for our short break,myself and my wife were looking forward to a return to the stables pub at weetwood Hall and there wholesome food and beers! Disappointment is all I can say! We ordered a pint of cider and san migel at the bar to be told no san migel im afraid! Thats ok well have carlsberg instead! After choosing our meals we waited and was looking forward to them(Mexican pizza for myself and mushroom curry for my wife and an accompanent of onion bajis) The waiter arrived with a serving frame and tray to assist with the sizzling curry and pizza, but when it arrived to my disappointment,2 limp French bread slices,some frozen chips and a nearly warm curry and baji,s! Oh and coincidentally the serving frame(in picture)was never used! Also to add insult to injury a few guests behind us were served san migel,if the barrel needed changing we would have waited! I know we have just started to come out of lockdown and things are strain for the hospitality industry, but we visited during the pandemic and your food was spot pn! Your pizza last time was amazing, a proper 9" well presented base and lovely cut chips and the curry served hot and well presented,worthy of any Indian restaurant! I would have made my concerns during our stay(23/7/21)but was not asked if our meals were ok,and didn't want to cause a scene!

Good outdoor space and environment , just ruined by shockingly slow service. Not enough staff, and the few there Look like they have just been told to get on with it without any training. Very disappointing

Peaceful place to enjoy a pint in the heart of Leeds

We visited for the first time in a year and I felt the need to share my feelings as I had a thoroughly wonderful visit and came away feeling in such a good mood. The staff were very attentive & one lady Helen definitely had great banter and made us laugh, there was nothing that was too much for her. Our lunch was great, I had the Ploughman’s and really enjoyed it. There was a little rain in the air but we were covered with the gazebos that have been erected in the outside area. Would recommend anyone to enjoy a lazy afternoon here.

Booked a table to watch the England Denmark game. We luckily got a good table with a view of the TV screen. Unfortunately, the quality of the screen was poor with a slow frame rate (however screens inside did look better quality). The thing that really let down the experience was the shockingly slow service. We had to wait between 20-30 minutes after ordering each round and some of the orders never turned up at all. Whilst I can appreciate that places are just getting used to being open again (covid), the place wasn't even that busy with lots of empty tables. The staff did not seem that bothered about providing service and we even noticed the chefs having to leave the kitchen to chase down servers. Considering the price of drinks you would expect a much higher standard of service. Some of our group order food and this was nice and arrived quickly (burger and chips) however the waiters never brought the cutlery or condiments even after they were requested! We had already booked a table for the final but are now looking elsewhere following this experience. The only positive we had to say was toward the end of the night there was one server who seemed much more on it and who took our order and then brought the drinks within 5 minutes. I would strongly suggest the rest of the staff take a leaf out of his book and pick up the pace.

Dog friendly? Very much so, water bowls and biscuits provided for dogs, dogs made very welcome. Staff extremely helpful, polite but also friendly and warm, nothing was too much trouble. Special mention and thanks to Alex, Kaleem and Vernon for making us (humans and dogs) feel so welcome. Food was great too, tasty and good portion sizes.

Meeting up with friends in these times is a precious thing and the Stables is in a lovely setting with a huge cobbled courtyard that looks inviting in the photos but is devoid of any atmosphere or ambience, even on the lovely warm evening we were there. With only a scattering of customers the appalling standard of service was inexcusable. I find it difficult to believe reviews that praise servers and the attention they gave, unless that particular waiter had a night off when we were there. The three different people who served us were all charmless to the point of rudeness. Impossible to describe any of them as friendly, they all struggled with our orders, couldn't answer our questions about what was stocked (bourbon – didn't know what it was) and had to retake our orders several times. But even worse was trying to find someone so we could re-order and then the delay in the order arriving – 20 to 25 minutes every time. Wonderful to see people, shame about the the rude staff who didn't give a damn. Not somewhere I will return to or recommend.

Messed up the order (no appology but they resolved it), messed up the bill (overcharged by £5, again no appology). To say that the food was rubbish would be an understatement. If you are coming here for a drink it's probably ok but the service and the food is terrible.

Waited for ages, people who arrived at the same time as us were served, the next table arrive around 15 minutes after us and were promptly served, tables around us were getting service but not us. I eventually went to the bar, to be told rudely that it was table service only and they would send someone out. We waited another 10 minutes and then left. They were busy but not that busy, and there was plenty of staff.

The worst service I have ever received in a pub. Booked a table last night, arrived to be told “I hadn’t”....found us a table, ordered drinks, which took 20mins to arrive, ordered a 2nd drink that took 25mins and one of the drinks didn’t arrive, tried to re order only to be told by the obnoxious waitress she was serving food! When she came back ordered again and the drinks never arrived...re ordered again, drink never arrived....it really was that bad! I have been drinking here on and off for 30 years....never again. Rude staff who didn’t give a damn.

We hadn't booked but got a table inside in the middle of a weekday afternoon. We enjoyed our chat over a cup of tea and the cake was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Karl is the best server I have ever encountered, free samples of local beers, attention to our needs, giving us blankets during the pandemic when we can't go inside. Really don't know what you could ask for! Outstanding customer service. Thanks again Karl!

Just had a lovely lunch at the stables -we had burger & chips -chicken tikka & rice -sweet & sour chicken with rice all came in contains covid safe & great value It was a bit cold sat outside but stable made you feel warn providing blankets & hot water bottles great idea stable Will diffidently be back thank you

I really love this little gem. First pub visit of 2021 and it didn't disappoint. Service is fab, food was excellent and l love the music that they play. A really lovely atmosphere and the staff and manager make you feel really looked after even in these difficult times.

First time visiting Stables Pub - lovely experience. The outdoor area is great with plenty of tables. Karl the Manager was brilliant, really accommodating with a vast knowledge of what they have on offer. Fast table service and the food was delicious ! Yum !

You are told to go to a table, where someone will take your order. They take your order for a drink and promise to take a food order on their return, only they don't return, despite a couple of prompts asking where the drinks were, can we order food the "waiter" just didn't give a toss. After 40 minutes we left

Nos hemos alojado un fin de semana largo en el hotel y el pub Stables es una ubicación fantástica. Pub típico que sirve una buena variedad de comidas y bebidas, dentro del complejo hotelero bajo las reglas de Covid. Son eficientemente estrictos con las pautas, pero muy educados en su aplicación. Carl y Alex deben ser mencionados por su excelente servicio, genuino y eficiente, y un reconocimiento a su gestión de este pub dentro de un hotel. Recomiendo encarecidamente este pub con hotel. No puede adultar nada en absoluto. Incluso un tipi en el patio (ver foto), SIMPLEMENTE PERFECTO.

Been to the outdoor teepee twice now and absolutely love it! Staff are so friendly and attentive especially Karl and Alex who were serving us yesterday! The teepee is so Christmassy with a huge fire pit in the centre and picnic benches around it. Already booked to go tonight and really looking forward to it! Dogs are allowed and Karl brought my little puppy a bowl of water in the teepee! Great work guys!

El patio ahora tenía un tipi con hoguera, que era un lugar fantástico.No me detuve para comer, pero ha habido grandes cambios en el menú. Ahora sirven pasteles Pieminister, que espero probar allí pronto.El mejor cambio fue la introducción de su nueva selección de cervezas artesanales: una colección de nuevas latas de cerveza (Salt, North Brewing) fue fantástica.El gerente Callum fue genial, muy amable, servicial y entusiasmado con las nuevas cervezas.Si se quedan con el tipi y las excelentes cervezas, visitaré mucho más. Magnífico.

La comida era fantástica (menú de almuerzo de 2 platos) y el comedor era encantador y luminoso con excelentes procesos de desinfección / limpieza en su lugar. Karl estaba disponible para comprobar que todo estaba bien. . . Recomendaría un viaje aquí. . . una buena forma de ayudar a esta industria que ha tenido un gran éxito en Covid

The Stables siempre fue un lugar agradable para tomar una copa tanto en el interior como especialmente al aire libre en el área segura con juegos de fondo (pre Covid).Después de la reciente remodelación y cambio de dirección, ha mejorado su juego, con una gran selección de cervezas locales y de barril. Personal amable y uno de los lugares más seguros en los que he estado para tomar temperaturas y verificar el sistema de ida.Ayer hubo un asiento adicional en forma de un gran wigwam con un hoyo en forma en el medio y alrededor de 8 mesas alrededor del borde, pero esto debe reservarse con anticipación debido a la demanda.Segunda visita pero volveremos pronto.

This is a lovely pub, the staff were really friendly and welcoming. They've taken excellent covid measures, tables spaced out, staff keeping distance and wearing sheilds, felt very safe. A great outside space on a sunny day and cosy inside space on a cold day. Will definitely come back.

We had dinner at the Stables Bar last night, we sat inside everything was was well within guidelines . Karl and his staff were very friendly and helpful the food was very good and piping hot. The service was good considering the times we live in .A definite if I’m in this neck of the woods again .

Had dinner here with my dad and his partner this evening when I was visiting them from London. Although well into their 70s, they are very young in spirit and have become regulars here during the pandemic because they feel safe and have great service from Karl, Amelia and the team who always remember them and make them very welcome. It’s a lovely spot in a Yorkshire stone filled courtyard serving locally produced beer ( we got one free to taste ) and a wide ranging menu. Lots of well distanced outside spacing and some cosy inside seats too. Good mix of couples, friends and families and very dog friendly....!Bonuses are the excellent soundtrack playing outside at just the right volume, spotless loos and their ability to tolerate my dad’s terrible jokes. Bring your friends for a fun day/ evening out! H

We visited on Saturday to watch the football because I wanted a nice quiet pub where I could go with the dog. We booked a table over the phone and went up to the Stables. Upon arrival there was no record of the table booking but that was soon sorted and wasn't an issue. Great beer and friendly staff who even gave little Nala a few treats! We'll be back!

Staff- in particular Alex and Karl- were really friendly and helpful, service is great in a pleasant environment. Highly recommend.

The Stables, and its cask ale, has been our longstanding favourite for a quick after work drink, and now there are more reasons for a longer visit. There's lots of room in the lovely courtyard, and with plenty of sanitiser, table service and masked staff, it feels safe. Even better is the great range of craft beer, including Magic Rock and North Brewing, which the enthusiastic and knowledgeable Carl plans to expand further. A great experience, to be repeated soon!

We've always liked this place and it gets even better. Good Covid safety measures - lots of sanitiser, table service, staff wearing masks etc. Plenty of outdoor seating. Plus a great range of craft beer that's going to expand further.

Super venue to have a relaxing drink, catch up with friends and let the world go by for a while. Karl and his staff provide a service second to none, pleasant, efficient and well managed.If you don’t try it, you don’t know what you are missing

small , not many tables due to social distancing (understandable). Not open every night and therefore if staying at hotel you are left with the bar in the restaurant. Beer was good though when you could get it

This was our first visit to a pub or restaurant since the end of lockdown, but given the fantastic weather we thought we should make the most of the final day if eat-out-to-help-out. We chose the stables as the tables seemed well spaced and there was plenty of space to eat outside. I am so glad we did! We felt really safe, with hand gel outside, temperatures being taken on arrival and all staff members wearing masks and gloves. Tables were well spaced both indoors and out and food arrived in take away containers to minimise staff contact with our food.And what food! I took manager Carl’s suggestion of trying the southern fried chicken and it was the nicest food I have tasted in a long time. I only drank a soft drink, but my husband informed me that the craft beer was nice enough that there would be a significant delay before we could drive home. Really glad we made the effort, and will return again soon. Might take a taxi next time...

Can't believe this is on our doorstep and we haven't tried it before!We had heard good things about the Stables since lockdown and decided to give it a try for an outdoor meal. I was very impressed with everything. There was hand gel and temperature checks on arrival, tonnes of space between the tables and food was served in single use recyclable containers. Karl is an excellent host and we felt well looked after. The food was great quality for a very fair price. Would definitely recommend for a daytime meal or quiet drink, especially while it's warm enough to sit outdoors.

Not many places you can nip for a drink especially in my local area & during such strange times we are in...amazing range of beers & even got to sample a new one on draft which I will be having on my next visit. really friendly helpful manager called Carl, we will be back sooner rather than later.

It was an experience. When we finally got the food, it was delicious and nice and hot.

I had a lovely evening here with my family. Very nice food and drink, and served incredibly well by Carl, Savatin and Amelia.The fried chicken and the Goan curry are definitely worth visiting for, and the establishment is very safe to visit during COVID-19 as they have exceptional safety measures in place, we shall certainly be returning and you should stop in yourself!

Whilst visiting the staff maintained social distancing and they were wearing face masks whilst making us feel welcome. They checked our temperature on arrival. This place as a lovely atmosphere and the food was very good.

Karl & his staff made us feel very welcome throughout our trip to The Stables. The team have taken great care with their safety measures since re-opening so we felt very comfortable and reassured. Good selection of drinks and food available. The team also made Bramble feel very welcome with a dedicated dog station full of treats & water. Will definitely be returning shortly as we now view The Stables as our favourite new local pub for the whole family.

From the moment we arrived Karl and his team made us feel very welcome. Karl explained the set up of the pub and explained that he would come and take our order. He explained that there were some new craft ales to try and even brought us some samples to taste before we made our decision. Karl and Amelia both checked on us during our visit and cleared our table regularly. The one way system in the pub works well and the toilet facilities were exceptionally clean and tidy. We felt very safe and the level of service is the best we've experienced since lockdown. THANK YOU! We will return.

Really friendly and helpful staff who recommended a number of drinks we might like to try. A relaxing, warm, and clean environment. Perfectly located for a refreshment after a walk along the Meanwood Valley Trail. We will definitely be returning.

Totally safe and friendly venue in this time of the virus with lots of measures in place to keep their customers safe: tables in the spacious courtyard well spaced out, automated hand sanitizer at the gate, details taken just in case but not intrusive and it is made clear that they are destroyed after a time. That apart the measures do not get in the way of enjoying this pub in a delightful setting, which actually gives the impression of being in the countryside not a big city, and the managers and staff are very, very friendly. Good range of drinks and today we had a superb lunch, which was extra special as our friend who joined me and our partner hasn’t been able to come out for months now due to her personal circumstances and Covid. Delicious food, well priced drinks range, great venue and lovely staff. Get yourselves in there!

Lovely to sit in the wonderful old courtyard in the middle of such beautiful buildings. Our visit felt really safe, one way in, one way out, hand sanitiser, details taken and temperature checks. (Why can’t all pubs do this?) on top of this we had excellent service, good ‘take away’ menu choice (+ flexible for veggies) We had a lovely afternoon sitting in the sun and enjoying the wonderful grapefruit beer. Thank you to all staff - nothing was too much, truly excellent service.

We came for lunch and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive and the manager Carl was brilliant with our son. Thank you, we cannot wait to come back!
