Called in to the Stable Tea rooms for a tea/ coffee. We also ordered a bowl of soup for each of us . To say it was tasty and hot was an under statement. The soup it's self was split pea. Sweet potatoe and carrot. It was very tasty thick and very hot ,served with white bagett . The tea rooms are clean, fresh, and very tidy. The staff were very friendly and we'll visit again to try their ploughman's lunch.

What a lovely venue. We had breakfast in the cafe which was delicious, bought fresh meat, pies, and strawberry’s from the farm shop - absolutely gorgeous & enjoyed a mooch around the antique shop & glass blowing shop. The outdoor seating area was great too. So lovely hearing people talking about their trips etc.

Popping in here often for lunches since I first visited a few months ago. The food is always cooked fresh and you can tell the difference, especially with their roast but also the specials which we usually go for.

Just wanted to write something to say how absolutely brilliant all the staff were at the tea rooms. They were so busy there were no tables left and had a huge queue; even so everyone was so polite and kind despite going full-steam for the entire time I was there. Nice big portion for my tuna jacket, with salad, melon and greens.looking forward to coming back!

Recently wrote a review for this under ‘new manor farm shop’ which is where the majority of the reviews for the tea room is (see below). We come here all the time, the food is all freshly made from scratch and delicious! The courtyard is such a tranquil beautiful area to sit and soak up the sun along with food and drink. We had a look in the farm shop and antique shop as well which were quaint and a good range of goods! https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g2054958-d5312516-Reviews-New_Manor_Farm_Shop-West_Harptree_Somerset_England.html

We had stop by this wonderful place on our way from Compton Martin for a bite to it. Since it seems to be literally in the middle of nowhere there seemed to have been an unusually large amount of elderly people but we didn't see any coaches or indeed many cars in the car park. We had vegetarian breakfast and it was quite delicious. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. A very pleasant morning, and thank you.

A delightful venue near Chew Valley Lake. Food hot, good quality and usually hot. We go there for lunch about four times a year. Staff usually very helpful, but some new staff are still learning a good approach to customers. On the last visit we were surprised to find that the usual all day breakfast was not available, although advertised, as "The chef has told me not to take any more orders for breakfasts because of the party next door". One general criticism is that the delightful home made cakes do not cater for Gluten Free customers. (There are some relatively unattractive singly wrapped pieces of Gluten Free cakes.) The loos are very clean. We will continue to go and enjoy this venue.

I was so excited to try these macaroons as I have an obsession with them. From previous reviews I was prepared for the expense and macaroons tend to be pricey anyways but I was disappointed with how dry they were. There were a variety of flavours and colours were beautiful but I was shocked with how dry and flavourless they were. I’ve had macaroons from many places and can say these are sadly the worst.

I’m a travelling Australian and got excited about some home-style food but this was so bad. The rice clumped together like it was days old, the kale was discoloured and the serving size was pitiful. Could have made something much better myself for far less than the £15 I paid for this and a mediocre chai. Service wasn’t even friendly. I’m only giving it 2 stars because I had a juice there a few days ago and it was pretty decent - otherwise it would have been a one. And - on the plus side it didn’t taste terrible but the rice was a bit suss.

We have just been for the Sunday lunch. The service was somewhat lacking. The roast dinners weren't up to scratch. We like el dente, but the broccoli could have been used in a brick wall. The roast potatoes were obviously just reheated, rubbery on the outside, and dry in the middle. The beef was very chewy and was very difficult to cut. My husband had the pork, and it was really nice. I'm not sure if it was just a bad day, but I certainly won't be eating there again.
