Stable Gate Brewers Fayre in Tameside

Came to the stablegate for some drinks. Was met by a very warm and welcoming face….. he is also very handsome…. Dave needs a pay rise

I was staying in the adjoining Premier Inn, as I was working in the area. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced and there’s also a dinner and breakfast deal for hotel guests. I ordered the smothered platter which was fresh and tasty, with the steak cooked medium perfectly, which is usually ruined with mixed meat platters. Thanks chef. All staff are really friendly and the restaurant is clean and nicely appointed. The Doombar was spot on too, so I’ll definitely be back for my next trip to Denton.

Lovely day out at the stable gate as always all the staff were a massive help , Dave on the bar always a smiley friendly face !!

The cooked buffet breakfast was plentiful but there seemed to be a shortage of plates and bowls, not sure if this is a deliberate tactic, the fruit selection was not good black bananas, and the glasses they offer for the juice are like thinbul size.

Lovely staff. Main menu Food overly microwaved and dried out or burnt. Breakfast great.

Attended a children’s birthday party here today and I was so pleasantly surprised with the size of the children’s area. I just wanted to come on here to say that they were so good about my daughter’s dairy intolerance for the kid’s food aspect of the party. They allowed me to take a picture of the menu and I thought it might be good for some other parents of little ones with allergies so we know in advance. Thank you so so much for the consideration and care

Friendly staff and great atmosphere

I stop over here at the premier Inn which is located next door on a regular basis. I cannot emphasise enough how lovely all the staff are at Stable Gate. So friendly and accommodating, nothing is a problem or an issue. I travel up and down the country with my job, staying at many places. Stable Gate is in my top 3 places to stay. Thanks guys for always making me feel welcome. Keep up the great service you provide for all who enter your establishment. X

We booked a table for 12 for my dad's birthday. It was ready for us on time, and we were seated promptly. The food was good (hot and tasty) and arrived quickly. The staff were really helpful and dealt with a couple of special requests without any fuss.

Went for Sunday breakfast. Set price for buffet style with yogurts, fresh fruit, cereals. Usual options for hot breakfast, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, black pudding, scrambled and fried eggs etc. Toast and marmalade or jam options. All very nice and we enjoyed it. We went and it was OK but it got busy, it's connected to a travel lodge type hotel, plenty of seating though so not a problem. Great access for wheelchair user.

I had a wonderful experience. l was greeted by warm, friendly staff. It was a warm and friendly atmosphere. Although the restaurant was very busy, the staff were attentive, professional, and friendly. My food arrived promptly and was hot. Customer service was exceptional. Thank you. Typical pub next to a Premier Inn. Food is good price, staff friendly. Could do with some music, but good place to have a pint and something to eat with friends. Parking is free.

My mum and I come regularly every Tuesday. We are always made to feel welcome. Leah always goes that extra mile to make our dining experience special. The staff are amazing and the food is excellent and value for money ❤️

Posted on behalf of my husband. Myself and my extended family visited the stable gate today, as we do quite frequently when we have relatives visit us. We chose to go to the stable gate as we like it and we had a voucher for 40% off our meals. Unfortunately I forgot to provide the voucher at the till until my brother in law asked if it had all gone through ok. He did this as he is aware of my ADHD. I advised the lady at the bar and she said there was nothing she could do. I became very overwhelmed and so my wife asked if we could have head offices number and email address so we could see if we could get it sorted that way. The bar lady went to get it but instead of returning with the information a woman who I assume was the manager came over and just stood in front of us looking at us like she’d stood in us. My wife then reiterated the request for the phone number and email address to which she was told that there is nothing she could do as it would be fraud to void it and put back through. My wife was very angry but didn’t say anything because she could see I had become overwhelmed at this point. My wife works in insurance and knows what she was told is a flat out lie. And to make it worse we hadn’t even asked for them to do this that was the only thing they said to me when I told them I forgot the voucher. The ‘manager’ then gave us an email address for the stable gate which I’m pretty sure isn’t head offices. Considering they preach diversity and inclusion on their website that is not what I experienced at all today. Today I was made to feel embarrassed and overwhelmed because two people didn’t want to help me. I have tried to submit a complaint directly with them but of course the ‘server isn’t responding’. Me and my family won’t be returning and if you have a neurodivergency I would avoid it too!

One of my favourite places to go when dining out. Food is always great, especially the Sunday carvery. Staff are always welcoming and friendly.

Always a great dining experience at this restaurant. The staff are always welcoming with great service. Great menu at a good price. A special mention to our server , Sarah who made our meal all the more special.

I went during half-term with a friend, and four children between us. We had a great visit. They had an offer on for Feed the Family for £15, plus you could add kids' meals for £2.99. This made it a really affordable trip out during half-term, and the play area meant that the kids could burn off some steam whilst there. The food was hot and fresh, and was served quickly, which is a bonus when there's hungry kids at the table. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. I'd highly recommend.

The manger is rude as hell spoke to me like I was 5 after waiting 15 minutes extra for chips that my daughter wanted with her meal, we went with a group for a birthday everyone had there meal but we didn't till 10 minutes later, then waited an extra 15 minutes for chips so I was already annoyed at this point then she spoke to me like I was 5 cheeky af

I came to the restaurant on Fri 7 th March with my grandson the service was excellent from start to finish from dave taking our order and Morgan serving us will our meal they both made us very welcome leah asked if everything was okay great overall thank u

Nice chill atmosphere for an after school tea food came hot and quickly exactly as ordered including the very specific requests of our autistic daughter We was asked on arrival of any allergies and again when placing our food order Tables were clean and not sticky Nathan was on the ball checking everything was ok with our meal and even getting our little boy a plaster for his imaginary poorly finger Talana in the play area was lovely and welcoming and great with the kids again lovely and clean and everyone of us (7in total) enjoyed our food

After being put up in the Premier Inn Denton through a home insurance claim, I was extremely satisfied with the friendliness of the staff and how well they made me feel at ease and at home in what would have normally been a stressful situation. The food at the brewers fayre, whilst affordable, was always very tasty and the staff there too were extremely helpful and again, made me and the wife feel at home. Thank you to all the team

Had a lovely midweek tea out with the family warm welcome and great atmosphere the kids as always had a great time in the play area and had a good school holiday deal feed the family for £15 absolute bargain! Food came quickly tasted great and was served with a smile and a lovely box of chocolates from Ian it was a lovely surprise gesture all 17 of us had a really nice meal out Would definitely recommend stable gate and especially the burgers and the mixed grill

Just been for an enjoyable meal for Valentine’s Day. We arrived to find chocolates and a balloon and a candle on the table which was a lovely touch. The food as usual was excellent and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Leah especially made us feel special as she always does. Lovely lady. Dave also came from behind the bar to ask us if we were ok.

Excellent service and great menu Stable Gate-Brewers fayre, Upon arrival we were greeted by a polite young lady with brown hair and wearing an animal print blouse, she asked if we had any allergies and we were able to sit wherever we wanted. Once seated we looked at the menu and chose for starters chicken goujons and potato dippers and for mains both myself and husband chose of the £5 main meals I had chicken tikka with a naan bread and poppadom and my husband had gammon steak with egg and chips, and 2 refillable cold drinks. When I ordered the food Dave one of the managers took the order and double checked if there was any allergies, Dave was very polite, pleasant, nothing seemed too much. The starters came out piping hot just as we ordered and then shortly after our mains came the portions was fantastic and they were both super delicious and flavoursome. Whilst we were eating we were asked by both Dave and Leah if everything was okay with our meals and if we needed anything else. Always with a smile. Once we had finished our plates were collected and asked if we were ordering any desserts but we declined as we were both so full. When we were leaving the restaurant Leah said have a lovely rest of the day and a lovely weekend and we hope to see you soon. Fantastic restaurant, amazing staff, approachable team, great, delicious food, clean. Would definitely recommend

Have to say we have been coming here for years birthdays family get togethers and tea out through the week and it’s a lovely welcoming family restaurant/ pub with a play area for the kids Dave took our order with a smile we always have a laugh and joke whilst also having a cheeky cocktail or 2 as who can say no to a bargain deal on cocktails! and Ian is lovely despite us not always booking in advance (sorry) he always looks after us and finds room for us food is lovely and always served quick and hot Monday to Friday before 6 it’s £5 main meals absolute bargain! Especially if you have a large family like us eating out can be really expensive Absolutely recommend this place to all especially families

Went for my birthday yesterday, there were a few issues, I assume the young lady that served us was new. The manager however handled everything quickly and gracefully, so friendly I couldn't help but apologise to her for being a pain!! A lovely meal with friends and family , the positives far outweighed any negatives.

Had dinner here with the family after a long day of travelling with children. The food was excellent and the staff were so lovely! They even gave a little gift to my daughter :) would definitely go again if I was in the area.

Paid 12 quid for what can only be described as an absolute let down of a bacon cheese burger meal, tiny burger tiny portion of fries and yeah just completely unimpressed for that price

Turned up tonight New Year’s Eve after spending 2 hrs in Hollywood bowls,what can I say the atmosphere of this place is shocking for the time of year,music at half a decibel all you could hear were people muttering under there breath and when you asked the music to be turned on or up the managers response was its already on. I’ve experienced more atmosphere here at 10 am on Sunday morning than on new years eve. Give this place a wide birth around the festive period time seems like new management is needed. The staff working were great but the management looked like they would rather be anywhere than there faces on all of them.

PERFECT, I recently had a family meal here. From walking in until we left (full). everything was perfect. food, service. staff etc. Cant believe I've not been here before as i only live 10 mins away :-)

Staying at the premier inn and not much around. Prefer not to have to get an uber eats I'm so went to brewers inn terrible service sat there for 18 minutes without anyone even asking if I wanted to order. So left and went to uber eats

The stable gate did very well considering it was very busy. We had a big family get-together, some local others from Nottinghamshire and family from Brisbane Australia (19) food came in good time.

Stable gate is a firm favourite for our family and extended family. The staff always go above and beyond. My daughter has a peanut allergy and always meet her needs and enjoy a safe dining experience. Staff are attentive, friendly and have a great passion for customer service. Dave the bartender was brill really added to our experience. Very chatty and funny, put a smile on our face. The other bartender Shaylee was lovely aswell nice and helpful.

Unfortunately we got 3 cold main meals (2 fish & chips & 1 sausage & mash) so had to send them back. When re served to us the batter on the fish was not crispy & was soggy. The waitress kindly offered us 3 puddings free of charge.

Went here with a party of 12 people, all different aged including babies. All were catered for. All you can eat continental breakfast with a fry up afterwards.... Tasty

Brought my nieces and nephew for food and a play. It was Sunday so very busy the staff were excellent especially Jenny! She made a point of finding me a table near the wacky warehouse so I could still see the kids playing safely. She assisted the kids with picking their meal and was very patient with my niece who has some special requirements regarding with her food and the way her wristband sits on her skin. She was patient and lovely. Our food came very quickly was hot and presented well. The table was cleared very quickly also after we had eaten so didn’t have to sit with much mess. Food was lovely and good value for money. Will definitely be visiting again.

Not my closest carvery but gave it a go after being emailed a 40% off mains voucher. Firstly, we were seated on a table that was very close to another. 1/2 people on this table kept staring at my 9 year old son. It was making him uncomfortable. They were also super loud. At one stage, a man came over and hugged one of the people on this table. That put his butt really close to my son and it was on the table!! (I think the people on the other table had some kind of special need, so probably couldn't help it, and I don't blame them. But that fact didn't make my son any more comfortable. The person who put his backside on the table did not have special needs and that was sheer ignorance!). I'd had enough after this. The person who seated us, I went and asked him if they had any other tables available that we could move to. He said no. I ordered our food. It was a long queue but moved fast... until I got to second in line and it became a really long wait from this point. I think there was an extra server who disappeared. Got back to the table and my son visibly looks very uncomfortable without even saying anything. I got up and asked for a table move again, asking a different member of staff, and got it this time (so why couldn't we have had the move the first time I asked, since it turned out there were other tables available). On the carvery, the beef was good. I liked the fact that they had a well done joint and a rare joint, and I was able to choose. The veg was standard. Not a great selection though. The one member of staff who got us the table move was nice, and helpful. Probably will not return here and will go back to my regular place in future. Even with the 40% off.
