Lazy Toad in Tameside

Wow, what a great local pub, exceptional service, very sensible prices and we were made to feel old friends despite this being our first visit. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

First time I have been and was made very welcome.

Absolutely perfect carvery its spot on and unbelievable value for money . Proper fresh veg. 👌

Smells like sewers in here disgusting

Needs some repairs. Toilet was out of order, walls were wet and the plaster crumbling. Beer always tastes funny.

Fabulous food, yet not pricey. Cheap pint too

Good for a cheap pint and to watch the football. Staff are all very friendly, although dont be swearing as boss man gets a hard on about it.

Good prices, wide range of drinks, food available, lots of outdoor and indoor seating. Funky lighting. Friendly staff. Cheep beer. Our round was £8for 2 pints, the local beer is even cheaper.

Owner is a miserable sod very intimidating not welcoming at all and thinks he’s it the place has a bad bad smell wouldn’t recommend at all STAY AWAY AND SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE DEFINITELY NOT HERE

Difficult atmosphere but nice pub

Was my first visit. Was impressed with the younger bar staff, pleasant and welcoming. One big deal for me though, as this place is an eatery it had a growing, pungent smell of sewage filling up the whole place. Maybe an ongoing problem but definitely needs to be addressed.

2 chefs, extensive menu however one chef is not working and one can only cook pizza if you even can call that a chef?

Nice little pub. Staff were extremely friendly & helpful can't fault the woman who served us, first visit made us feel welcome. Food What I call proper pub food, can't fault it in any way whatsoever. Perfect.

Nice place for a pint and looks like a nice place in the summer

Wouldn't buy a pint from here unless u like Stella anything else is only good for throwing down the sink.

Great friendly landlord and staff. Enjoyed our drinks sat outside. The waitress serving us was kind and considerate. Will be going for Christmas lunch if they cooking in ‘December ‘. Keep up the good work ‘LAZY TOAD’.

Welcoming, helpful and friendly staff. Nice to see that they are investing the future, with new fit outs etc. We only popped in for a drink but would return for a meal if in the vicinity again

Ample room in this pub. You can sit inside or out. Food available too. Nice hostelry, lots of TV's, good bar service and pleasant bar staff, decent choice of ales

Lovely staff! Went on a Sunday and ordered the veggie burger, the lady taking my order made sure the options given to me were suitable for me being vegetarian and she told the kitchen staff who then cooked the burger separately to the others <3 I didn't even ask, the staff here just go out of their way to make sure everything is lovely and the food was amazing. The place has a lovely atmosphere and I would highly recommend

Really good outdoor set up to watch the footy. Was reassured by all the covid protocols in place, friendly staff and would confidently visit again ...hats of to the landlord, he's done an excellent job in such difficult times

Nice outdoor area with lots of seating.

Was in here yesterday. Landlord is a bit strange, asked us to leave because one of us whistled quite loudly to get another friends attention. Seems to be if your not a regular and you like to speak louder than a whisper then your not welcome.

If you want to have fun this isn't the pub to go to. Having a few drinks with the lads for the first time in about 18 months the landlord didn't like this even though we spent a fortune in there probably covering his staff wages for the day. We were asked to leave due to one of us whistling to get the attention of one of our group. If you want to be miserable then this is the pub to go to.

Great place with great staff. Done all they can to make it Covid safe. Always a good time had here.

A big thank you to Alan and staff for supplying us with alcohol and food on Saturday when I was there to celebrate my 50th birthday with family and friends. I didn't think it would happen with the many restrictions in place so very much appreciated and a day I will never forget 😉

Closed, cos there's a pandemic.

Highly NOT RECOMMENDED. The food on the 241 tapas menu was incredibly greasy, overcooked and flavourless. The waiting staff were pilote enough but the manager had an awful attitude. Having lived in Spain and experienced authentic tapas food this could not be further away. Absolutely awful food.

This is a very good pub, very well run and in accordance with all the present Covid Rules. The staff are friendly and welcoming and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Highly recommended.

Not a warm welcome We were going to the Tapas restaurant. The room was cold, the atmosphere was flat, although the food was lovely.

Very nice pub. Good outdoor seating area with its own bar. We ordered tapas from the adjoining Spanish restaurant, which was lovely.

Nice and polite and the staff was very help full

An excellent place to go during the pandemic, I haven't seen a place that's adapted better to the current situation. There is ample outdoor seating (every other table is in use to help social distancing), a one-way arrow system leads you round the bar, hand sanitiser dispensers are on most walls, paper placemats are put down for hygiene if you're eating. None of these measures though have changed the quality of service or the food or drink on offer. A strong recommendation!

This place is awful, made to feel unwelcome from the second of entering the premesis. Constantly stared at (by what we think is the owner) throughout our time there. I had to justify myself for asking for some tissue in order to mop up beer that I spilt. I was scrutinised going to the toilet and even leaving the premesis with my girlfriend.

Great boozer and really good food also. With dining area and pool tables and also the sports on the tv it's a well worth it place to have a bevvy or two

Good atmosphere. Provide football at on a big screen as well as two pool tables. Plenty of seating with a selection of beer that can be paid either by cash or card.

Just had breakfast here and all items on the plate were cooked to perfection and the price included tea and toast.

First visit quite sunday night before Christmas mood is fine well light in nice colours great choices of beers lagers wines spirit. Lovely outdoor area great prices at the bar recommend all day to anyone.

Bang on for what we paid, recommend it.
