St Peters Chinese Takeaway in North East Lincolnshire

Normally liked this Chinese takeaway, but the latest meal was awful, simply awful. The food was stone cold when we picked it up, and none of the dishes had any flavour whatsoever. Only ever had a chinese as bad as this in this area and that was Wok Magic in Scartho. The woman who takes the orders is not welcoming at all, and this does not create a very good atmosphere. £44 pound for 4 dishes and some chips was awful value, and certainly won't be returning to this takeaway. The food did not look like any Chinese I have ever had before, and I think the Chef must have had a night off. Every dish was eaqually as bad. Never again.

This one is not on the menu, Ribs with green peppers & black bean sauce and fried rice, but they cooked it for me, delicious!

the salt and pepper chips from here was absolutely delicious and the curry sauce, wow! don't get me started it's gorgeous, i'd name it the best curry sauce in the town. if you want top tier curry sauce i'd definitely recommend here.

Weekend go to! Never disappoints. If you like black bean then this is where it is at. Can’t recommend enough. Added bonus delivery guys are always friendly and close the gate

My favourite Chinese in the area. Gung Chow Beef and the salt and pepper king prawns are my favourite! Delivery drivers are always nice and never wait too long for it. Would definitely recommend!

Recently moved into the area this summer, tried a few local Chinese’s. Didn’t manage to find one I really liked until I stumbled across St Peter Chinese Takeaway, it’s a hidden gem! What I really liked is that it’s a family run business and the same family have run it for over 50 years, they sure do know their stuff. My favourite is Gon chow beef and noodles. I believe it’s the only Chinese in the area that sells it as I haven’t managed to find it anywhere else. What we also tried this time was Sweet and sour Hong Kong style chicken which is absolutely amazing, chicken with cashew nuts, beef with green pepper in black bean sauce and Szechuan beef. For starters we ordered the crispy won tons with sweet and sour sauce dip, salt and pepper chicken and roast ribs. We will definitely be making this our local Chinese and our weekly weekend treat!

Premises need updating and cleaning. The ceiling light fittings were disgusting with lots of insects and other debris in them. Staff were polite and courteous. They only take cash ! Yes, that old hornet. So a revue by HMRC is probably overdue?

Discusting hard chips chicken ball burnt dry we had orderd set meal for 2 nearly £25 with delivery rest was cold think they sent last weeks cooking

We always order from this place, normally it’s amazing but tonight it’s been a joke to start it off we order which came to £25.20 so should come with prawn crackers but they didn’t give us any then when it got here most of it was cold and was missing items that’s we ordered

5 star food standards rating, excellent food, great service and good value too...a little hidden gem, would recommend a visit

Dreadful. Called for a collection. Phoned loads of times and they didn't even pick up the call !! Dreadful customer lack of service!!

What a shambles waited nearly 2 hours for a Chinese takeaway delivery. When it eventually arrived it was not what I ordered. When I contacted them I was informed that the order was correct as written when placed. If the girl who took the order had been concentrating instead of messing about with a colleague I would have got what I asked for. Will not use them again

Really nice food, delivery quick with a mask on they stick to covid rules very good here. All around food nice and just the chips where slightly under cooked for my taste but the food was piping hot and the beef was very tender.

Food nicely vooked, ready when they said it would be and service with a smile. Will definitely order from there again

Usually visit here every week. Its our local chinesw. Ordered tonight and everything is half the portion size but the same price. 4 different things ordered and didn't have enough to share between 2 people. Won't be using again.

We ordered this weekend ( as our normal Chinese isn’t open) and it was amazing.. we will definitely order again 🙂 think we have a new favourite!

The best Chinese in grimsby/Cleethorpes area curry sauce to die for what an amazing take away brilliant service with helpful friendly staff, delivery service is also great always on time would definitely recommend

Highly recommended, food is always very hot on arrival (salt and pepper chicken and Singapore chow mein is my absolute favourite!!!) Staff are very pleasant and are very understanding when something is wrong with the order, they correct it straight away! I know they are extremely very busy at the moment but is defiantly worth the waiting time!!

Had fantastic service - none contactable delivery. Delivery with a smile and great taste. Will definitely use again in the near future.

I have to say these guys are doing such an amazing job ... social distancing at its finest ...great staff so friendly and helpful .. literally 1 in 1 out in the shop all sectioned off appropriately and all staff wearing protective wear .. the food is fantastic , great choice of menu and piping hot on delivery !!! Again delivered with social distancing in mind . I for sure won't use anywhere else again . thank you for the service you are providing in these difficult times you are so much appreciated

Really nice chinese been around for a while really nice hot curry sauce, lovely meal friendly staff. This chinese is becoming one my favourites.

I’m really surprised to see some negative reviews on here. We have been using this Chinese take away for around 10 years and not once have had a problem. Lovely, friendly staff and the food is delicious. I Particularly enjoy the noodle dishes as they’re seasoned beautifully and contain more than what other Chinese take aways offer. Keep up the good work I say!

The food is beautiful and i have always enjoyed the food from here. I have used this take away for over 4 years .. The only thing letting this little gem down is the very rude driver.I work in customer service and wouldnt dream of speaking to people the way she does .. my partner had to hold me back tonight .. because of her attitude I don't think I will be using this take away again it's a shame as we order regularly and it's a good size order .. message to the driver your going to cost this take away customers!!!

Visited to have a take away singapore chow mein. Reviews on trip advisor didnt bode well- not many in number and a few less favourable ones. I habe previously enjoyed food from here- but a while ago. Premises are not the most attractive inside or out but the food they deliver is spot on ! I had singapore chow mein which was cooked from fresh quality ingredients in a timely manner notwithstanding they had several telephone orders to incorporate in schedule. Staff polite and friendly. People who post negative reviews need to substantiate with photos or go away !!

Ok...so I only came here a second time due to my usual Chinese being closed....I wish I hadn’t.

the order was chow mien, 'salt & pepper chips' & prawn balls. order checked, (chow mien & prawn balls. were correct) salt and pepper chips was wrong and was charged £2 EXTRA to have *salt & black pepper* put on the chips!!!! ****propper salt & pepper chips have garlic, onion, mixed peppers, carrot, spring onion, a sweet sauce on them. i tried to complain but was told tough, we've had your money & you had the food... IVE NOT BEEN BACK SINCE.. I DO TELL OTHER PEOPLE TO AVOID THIS CHINESE!!

The worst ever chinese I've had! Singapore rice with 6 peas, 2 prawns and no spice! What a waste of money...try the ones in Cherry Orchard, so much better!

Used this takeaway for many years the food has always been top notch but this time the food wasn't up to its high standard when ordering over the phone the person taking the order had no idea what was on the menu and took ages to take the order and when we got the food home my special chow mein had only a few pieces of meat in the dish and was packed with peas,and my wifes chicken and mushroom we had to look for the chicken I hope they are not dropping there standards asit would be a shame.

They offer delivery too ! Not the most attractive looking premises from roadside, but the food is excellent and the staff charming. Singaporw noodles are wonderful!! All reasonably priced.

We ordered from here after hearing good reviews from friends. The food was delivered within 30 minutes and was piping hot when it arrived. The young lady who delivered our food was polite and friendly. We opted for Special Fried Rice, Chicken Chow Mein, Chips and a Curry Sauce. It was great. Very Tasty. All n all a really good takeaway.
