Can’t really rate on the food as it never arrived . Short answers of it’s in its way when we contacted them and really not helpful . Would not recommend to anyone unless you are wanting to waste money and have a diet of no food !!!

ordered via a food app and they missed a bunch of items and when i called to ask them about it they said i didnt order from them??? i did because i always them so...

This is by way of a sincere apology to Moghul Empire. 😟 I had a takeaway this evening and had 2 problems, I felt, with my order. I had explained at length that I wanted vegetables in the sauces with the 2 biryanis ordered. The sauces were smooth, no vegetables! Also the 2 poppadoms I ordered were missing. I rang the restaurant to explain the problems and spoke to a very pleasant man who apologised for the missing poppadoms but clearly didn’t really understand the biryani sauce problem. I ended the call still feeling disgruntled. Clearing away, I found the poppadoms packed between the plastic bag and the brown paper carrier bag 🙄. Also I realised that not once did I say I wanted pieces of vegetables in the sauce so I’m not surprised he couldn’t understand my problem. It’s a vegetable curry sauce so obviously it did have vegetables in it, just not the chunks of veg I wanted 🤷🏼‍♀️ So the point of this is to say I’m very sorry Moghul Empire, my fault entirely. The food was delicious and to make life simpler we will cook some pieces of veg to add to the sauce next time we order.

Food is amazing and very well priced but both times I have ordered, it took almost 2 hours to come and was delivered after the estimated time.

One of the best curries I’ve had, good sized portions, I’ve had a few takeaways with 3/4 pieces of chicken in the curry but there is always a lot from here, highly recommend, good prices too

10out of 10 the food was absolutely deliciously amazing full of rich flavours the lamb was so tender chicken soft the naan breads were so nice and full of garlic.we normally use another Indian that we have been regular for years at but no more this will be our go to Indian from now on.the staff are so polite I could see them cooking it they have the door open so that was a bonus so I know it’s all fresh and made to cook on the spot .one advice is get your order in early doors as from what I see they are very very busy drivers coming in and out with bags full of food which is a good sign of how busy and popular they are.see you next time guys keep up the good work

this takeaway is never disappointing the food is always fantastic great value for money. Best Indian takeaway by far would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Indian food. Lovely friendly staff who go above and beyond to accommodate you. Don't give up what you do best thanks very satisfied customer

FOOD WAS SENT TO WRONG ADDRESS!!! Number 61, instead of number 63! As A consequence it was freezing cold, elderly neighbours would have been asleep, not restaurant's fault but number is clearly displayed on gate! Great food as usual but I'm not happy to be honest!

I am so disappointed with my order. I have been a customer of Moghul Empire for many years and NEVER received such poor service. All dishes arrived cold!!!! It arrived just under an hour late, with the all popadoms smashed up, not a single whole one.

Very thin sauce on both currys we had has it been took over it was better just before Christmas .very disappointed today.

Food arrived 45 minutes later than the estimated delivery time, phoned the restaurant 2 hours+ from ordering to be told that the food hadn’t even left yet. When it arrived it was cold and we were missing popadoms and pickle tray that we usually receive with the banquet meal. The driver didn’t even offer an apology for being late! Very disappointed especially since we are regular customers…

It would be great if when the driver leaves the restaurant to take our food to our house, we would be informed. Otherwise, very good chutney and nan bread. Food is very good. We are happy with the food and how fresh the ingredients are. We recommend. And we regularly visit!

Despite its history of mixed reviews, I must say, this place exceeded my expectations. The food, all homemade, beautiful comfort food of every bite. What truly sets this place apart is its staff; always warm, friendly, and attentive, ensuring a wonderful experience. While past critiques may have deterred, I wholeheartedly recommend giving moghuls a chance for a cozy, homely takeaway.

Ordered a vegetable curry and it came with chicken in. Rest of food bland and boring. Only ordered due to it being the only Indian open at that time, won’t be using again.

Ordered through Grimsby and Clee Eats with an estimated 60 mins waiting time. Called them after 75 mins, said it was next batch out. Called them after 120 mins for refund and they told me they can’t process refunds 🤣 Food then arrived after 2 hours and 10 mins. Stone cold, swimming in grease, tiny portions and tasted vile. AVOID

6 poppadoms crushed into crumbs so pointless ordering the pickle tray , curry was runny 3 bits of chicken in each curry’s and we ordered 4 curries , the starters was hardly anything in the trays but what was in there was rock hard and came out in one piece couldn’t even eat it , chip portions were small , what a shame as had food from here before and it’s been nice in the past , waste of money to end up in the bin , I’ve taken pictures as will be going through just eat as it’s was £55 worth of f

Food was good, it did take a long time to arrive, but it was new year's day so expected that the restaurant would likely be busy and that there would be a wait. Only problem was that the food was cold and had to be reheated, suspect it had either been standing in the takeaway for a while or had been on a trip around the town. An issue with the delivery I think, rather than with the quality of the takeaway.

Our order was preordered for 8pm on NYE, accepted and delivery changed to ETA 8.10pm. The delivery was late but I knew it would be a busy night so I never contacted them until the app updated and said enjoy your food, 30 minutes later. So I called them at 8.45pm and the restaurant explained the order hadn’t been printed at their end and therefore it hadn’t been prepared, but they would do it and send it out as soon as they could get a driver. It eventually arrived at 9.40pm. Food was nice but not as good as it has been previously. Overall very disappointed by the order process and late delivery, I’m not sure why the order wasn’t printed when it was confirmed and the delivery time was changed. The positive is that the restaurant did apologise and rectified the mistake.

It was very disappointing. It was missing the cheesy rice, the stuffed paratha wasn't stuffed with anything and we got a chapati instead of a paneer naan bread. There was barely any Ali Baba pot. The food was cold and the curry very runny.

Food arrived very late and almost cold, but in fairness, it was New Year's eve and it was the first time we've had a substandard order from Moghul Empire, which we have used for years. When I rang, a replacement order was sent out and arrived hot and very tasty, so can't complain about the customer service

Food arrived 35mins late (2hrs+ from ordering), rice missing, 45min wait for that to be delivered. Chips, curry’s and rice (that was delivered) was cold and bland. Very disappointed. If I could give 0 star rating, I would!

Omg this has got to be the best Indian takeaway I've ever tasted and I've tried many Indian restaurants and takeaways. The banquet meal is excellent value for money. The young man at the front of house was telling me he had recently taken over he was very polite and friendly. I would highly recommend this Indian takeaway

Recently, I went to the moghul empire for a take away having moved to the town I asked the locals and my friends at work for the best Indian. They said try the moghul empire so decided to give it a go being a curry lover, I didn’t know what to expect . I ordered the banquet at 22.95, yes you read that right 22.95, i got a chicken jalfrezi and my partner got lamb tikka balti I thought I would play it safe as it’s my go to curry’s. As we was going home the smell in the car had me so hungry,they even wrote on the lids so there were no fights with the husband 😂 I tell you the service from the young man front of house to the food was impeccable such lovely flavours the lamb was so tender it was cooked to perfection the starters were amazing the whole meal was delicious and all for just £22.95. Got some left over for tomorrow as well thank you guys for the recommendation found my local Indian will be back 🥰

. When it got to me it was stone cold. DONT ORDER the Ali babas pot, they come half portions. Even if you order outside of the set banquet. I ordered extra poppadoms as well as the ones in the banquet. NONE came, just come bits In the bottom of a bag. This takeaway is not what it use to be. It was also 15 minutes late.

Unbelievable food, will definitely be returning for sure. Not to mention the service was impeccable.

Got some food last night from here, brilliant food, really tasty, one of the best Indian takeaways around here. The staff went above and beyond. my phone fell out my pocket sat waiting for food, and the staff picked it up, looked after it and even charged it for me. I’ve never lost a phone or anything like that, and everything goes through your mind, but thank you to Moghul Empire for the best customer services and the best food. I’m so grateful!!

Didn’t expect much from the look of the outside but decided to order for delivery as I was really hungry. Never ever judge a book by its cover. I ordered one of their so called award winning dishes. Oh My God it was brilliant ! Hotter than I normally order but it did say hot on the menu. So full of flavour I loved it. Will order that again ! Many thanks guys you’ll see me next time I’m here for work.

So my food was almost 20 minutes late which I don’t mind sometimes it gets busy.. my food arrived STONE cold not even luke warm !! I called the restaurant and explained to them I had just received cold food and he was arguing asking me how it is cold. I said you’ve made and sent the food and your asking me why the food is cold. I then said what am I Ment to do with £30 worth of cold food and he told me to put it in the microwave to make it hot !!! Absolutely disgusting service ! Will never use here again !

Preordered for 6.15pm and hadn't arrived at 7.15. Was told was on its way. Then told had been delivered incorrectly to wrong address. Whenever received it. I would like a refund please, as it ruined the evening for us and I had to drive to get alternative food and pay twice.

Disappointed with our first order from here, everything was stone cold and chewy, like it had been sat in a fridge half the day then re-heated and left to go cold again. Order apparently left the restaurant at 8pm and took 40 minutes to reach us. We used them because they were nearby, we won’t make the same mistake again.

Food was warm not hot. Onion bargis was cold didn't eat we didn't get our sagg aloo that was missing. Naan bread was cold. Food from here that I have had in the past I would rate 10star as it's always been amazing. But not now I'd give it a 3star

The Moghul Empire is a good India takeaway on Wellowgate in Grimsby,it's been open for quite some years now. It was a really well decorated place but I must admit that it's looking a little tired these days.lts very clean though and the staff are friendly. Quite a large menu with all the usual and a good assortment of speciality dishes. The wheelchair access is reasonable but parking is not the easiest. The menu is online and online ordering is available. It has a 4**** food hygiene rating. Food review June 2019. I ordered a lamb Balti,plain rice and a plain naan bread. The rice was freshly steamed,the naan bread was pretty good but I felt that it had been made a little earlier in the day. The Balti was very enjoyable, really well spiced with thick consistency plenty of fresh tomato and onion,with of good sized pieces of tender lamb,a decent meal overall. I paid £9.40 for my meal. Update December 2022. They now have a 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 food hygiene rating.

Ordered 2 naan breads and both were wrong. Chicken portions in all dishes were too small and paid for an extra curry and the tub was half full. Not very good value for money.
