The restaurant was unhygienic and the food was not worth the health risks

Visited with family, nice smiling staff, food was ok, kinda expected more from the review and the name made me think it’s going to be authentic Bombay food. Chilli Paneer - good Stuffed Paratha - not cooked thoroughly Lamb curry - good Biriyani - lacked flavour and had more chicken than rice.

Chicken chat was lovely Being grabbed by staff, trying to lock us in, shouting abuse and accused of touching a staff member was not. What a hell hole. Mains took over an hour so we asked for them to be put in take out containers instead. Staff refused, then tried to overcharge us, refused to take card (despite two card readers), blocked the doorway as we tried to leave - grabbing one of our parties coats and pulling them away from the door whilst shouting in their face. They then tried to lock the door, accused us of ‘touching’ them and shouted until their daughter cried (who was actually the most grown up of them all!) We reluctantly paid for everything, despite wanting nothing anymore, just to get away from them. I thought this was the type of thing you only see in Facebook videos but at least now I know why Mumbai Blues is always empty.

We went last night for dinner never again my daughters birthday,freezing cold ask for heater but said it didn’t work,food waiting over i hour ,food average paid £2 per glass for water service by lady used to be good but not any more

Revisited as moving back to the area and used to be good. Went in and a child was asleep on the seats at a table. Waitress / server explained the menus were out of date and the prices had gone up. None of that too bad. Explained after ordering we couldn’t pay with card (machines in situ). Paid cash, took the food home and all curry sloppy, tasteless and greasy. Keema naan horrendous and rice tasteless. Please avoid or order at your own risk.

We ate here last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. We both ordered cod rogan balti and it was lovely, full of flavour and just about the right heat. Prices were as expected, the owner was lovely. They only take cash which is unusual but there is a cash point in the shop next door so it really isn't an issue. We would definitely eat here again.

Haven't been here for years, even livi g in waltham, went for a takeaway tonight, iy was probably one of the best Indians I've had, can't fault anything. Definitely use again.

Visited for the first time in 4 years and it was completely different. First time was fine dining this time unfortunately was ok. Service was good but food didn't match. Tbf the price was ok i was just hoping for a better food experience.

Just had food delivered through Grimsby clee eats. Chicken Bhuna is known as a dry dish yours was a sloppy mess. With no Bhuna flavour. Kemma pilau was soggy wet mess. Onion Bhaji was again soggy and tasteless. The tandoori mix grill contained one tiny piece of tandoori chicken and then just normal flavourless meat. Curry sauce was as runny as single cream. £37 of total disappointment. I’ve tried messaging you but not available and reviews are turned off. Mmm I can see why

Vegetable curry frozen mixed veg, made with poor quality spicing tasted like curry paste spices where harsh and not cooked out, threw entire meal away, naan did not seem to be garlic . Will never use again not any of my family!

We ordered a takeaway. The tandoori grilled meat was incinerated - black, dry inedible, Pakoras & onion Bhaji were not freshly cooked. So poor. Wil not go again or recommend to friends

Called in early 5.30pm after going to cinema, the restaurant was empty . Oh my word!! In hindsight we should have walked out the minute I noticed how filthy the windows were and on opening the door the small entrance area was also filthy and it didn't stop there! The dirt is so deeply embedded in/on the white chairs they are very sticky, the table was sticky, the floor was disgusting, menu was sticky and even the tiles near our seating area were filthy. When my food came I had to send it back as it was cold, the woman who served us looked shocked and said "how can that be its just been cooked!" it was cold! My husband went to the toilet, when he returned he said "best not go in there", he said it was disgusting, the toilet door was dirty and the door handle was disgusting, he said inside was no better and it looked as though it hadn't been cleaned for several months!! Before writing this review I looked at some other reviews and I noticed in a previous review written 4 months ago that a birthday banner was up by a seating area, if the writer of that review reads this the banner is still up! I have, for the safety of others (I say others as we will definitely not repeat our visit), reported this restaurant to North East Lincolnshire Council Food Health Team, I have fears of how filthy the kitchen will be and I hope they pay a visit and carry out an inspection. Just want to add The woman who served us was on the phone when we arrived and she spent the entire time chatting and laughing on the phone, only putting it down to serve us and take my food back to the kitchen, she didn't hang up even when we paid! The woman also told us they would only accept cash, she blamed covid and the cost of £40 per month for the card machine. While my husband settled the bill, I noticed how dirty, grubby and grimy the bar area was, guess I should not have been surprised! I would have thought that being closed re covid would have been a perfect opportunity to do some very deep and thorough cleaning but alas it appears this was not the case!!!! We did laugh to ourselves when we were told the chef was Italian!!!

My family and I ate here last night, there were no other customers there aside from ourselves which we should have taken as a sign. The place was absolutely filthy, tissues and food on the floor and dirty plates left on other tables. We went at 7pm and left around half 8/9pm and the mess still hasn’t been rectified in the duration, I can’t imagine how long it was there for prior to our arrival. The table we were placed at had personalised birthday banners up on the wall which I personally feel is unprofessional. Once the party leaves this should surely be removed starting fresh for new customers. The service was very rushed and unprofessional. When this restaurant first opened servers were very professional, dressed smart and very efficient. There was no one aside from a young child to greet us when we arrived, then a man who I assume runs this place came out, dressed in lounge clothes and abruptly told us where to sit and had no patience with us whilst we were deciding what to drink or eat. The food wasn’t actually terrible, tasted like an average Indian, not a lot of flavour but edible. Before leaving the restaurant we attempted using the toilets however upon even opening the door to the restrooms it was vile and filthy, there was urine on the toilets, the floor and the sinks full of grime in both the women’s and mens. Believe me when I say these restrooms had not been cleaned in months. None of us used the restrooms due to this. We then went to pay the bill with card, “we do not accept cash”, no problem but perhaps this should have been mentioned upon booking a table or even entering the restaurant to ensure we could have prepared for this. After returning home after a 20 minute journey we were all violently sick apart from one party member who at 5am the following day was awoken also being violently sick. We rang the restaurant to make a complaint with having the best interest of their business in mind, running a business this unhygienic will not bring future custom. Instead of offering an apology we were spoken to SO awfully - “what is your problem you complain of two things the cleanliness or the food, which is your problem?? I will not accept this, your crazy, I will not refund you, our service was good” This is NOT acceptable. I am writing this review as I do not want anyone else to suffer an experience like this. I am a day on and still feeling severely ill with sickness and sore stomach. I seriously advise the hygiene of this place to be revised.

After 4 of us had a meal there within hours we were all extremely sick, the bathroom was disgraceful to the point we wouldn’t use or even touch the sink let alone the toilet!! Called the next day to discuss and the guy was rude and dismissive and didn’t care at all!! Dread to think what state the kitchen is in!! Will never use again!!!

What a Beautiful place food was outstanding good value for money large portions and so very friendly highly recommended if you want a nice meal with friends family or your other half will be coming bk to taste more amazing flavours x

Horrible, disgusting service 🤢 you do not want tp order from this place, they want extra money for delivery even if I’ve paid online for the whole service. The people are rude, I’ve wonder how places like this are still open. Don’t recommend at all. I hope I am going to have my money back. Shame on you guys.

AVOID AT ALL COST. Place is a joke and staff are rude, they don’t give you time to speak as there emotions over run there mouths. Really poor experience, rang for delivery, waited 1.5 hrs, rang and was told it would be another 45mins. Decided to go and pick it up. Staff rude, naan bread burnt, vegetable korma a joke, much better take aways around will not be going back and definitely do not recommend.

Ordered take away for family get together for 10 people. Food took nearly 2 hours to arrive. Did not get what we ordered. When called was told they had run out of food as they were busy. Ordered food at 7.15pm. Still waiting for 2 dishes to arrive that were paid for. Staff were rude on the phone, shouted that they were busy and hung up on me. Sent a chicken Korma instead of prawn korma (ordered for pescatarian) was told they had run out of prawns. Ordered onion bhajis and was sent samosas, again told they were busy and had run out. They should not have taken order and our money if they could not provide the food requested. Korma was bland and watery. Awful experience, rude staff and bland food. Never again will I order food from here. Angry that I paid a lot of money for such an awful experience. Delivery man was absolutely charming and lovely however.

Looking forward to an Indian take away meal, ordered on the Grimsby eats app, put our postcode in, order placed and delivery paid for, order confirmed soon after. 15 minutes later the order was cancelled so I phoned up, apparently the delivery driver doesn’t want to drive here to deliver, despite delivery being paid, order confirmed and money taken. I think it will be good if you live in Waltham, anywhere else will just be too far. I’ll try somewhere else. Disappointing. Look at my wonderful food below. We booked a table for 3 at 5pm on Wednesday with our 86 year mother in law. Restaurant not open at 5pm, rang their number and no answer, no lights in restaurant. Checked their website and confirmed should be open at 5pm. Spoke to their delivery driver and informed not normally open until 5:30pm. Decided to go back to mother in laws House to get car as she couldn't stand for 30 minutes. Eventually open at 5.25pm no explanation, no apologies no nothing. We were then presented with a less than average selection of main courses which quite frankly I could cook better myself. This all served in an ambience of no other guests and a child in the corner with their tablet turned up loud watching some video show which was conflicting with sub average Indian music. As an example of an Indian Experience it certainly was, but not on a good way! Absolutely rubbish and wouldn't come back if you paid me £1000. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered a meal for our anniversary waited 2 hours then got a cancellation email very poor communication.never answered phones .

The nega curry lacked heat, massla only tasted of coconut more mild than a Greek yogurt. Bhaji flat, tandoori chicken half one leg to bits of breast. Not the worst meal, however I won't be ordering from there again. I will stick with the spice...

Had 2 sri lankan dishes terrible! No flavour at all cold food I couldn't believe food could be this poor very disappointing. It was also an 1.5 hrs late.

The customer service is horrendous will not let you get a word in when ringing them, ordered at 7:30pm and had still not arrived at 10:10pm rang numerous times and told it was on its way. Tried to cancel the order and get a refund...

Our order arrived in time. The king prawn puri was the worst we've ever had. One small chewy bit of prawn with legs on. The sauce was tasteless and the puri wet and greasy. The main courses were just average. Very expensive too.

We booked , we shouldn't of bothered was no one else in there , been before and loved it , but this time was shocking , new owners I think , was greeted and sat down took our order , beer out of a can and coke out of a plastic bottle wasn't a great start , everything we ordered she tried to up sell , there was two adults and two young kids and ended up buying 12 poppadoms just to shut her up , continuously at our table asking a 5 year old if he wants another drink , at £3 each !! Great food and tables set out socially distanced. Only down side the toilets, no soap or hand towels and definitely in need of a refurb, so remember the hand gel!! other wise would have been 5 stars.

Is this place under new management?Ordered £30 of food from Mumbai Blue, always been happy with the place in the past, last time the service was excellent and food very nice. Arrived to pick my order up on the time stated when I ordered but it wasnt ready - I ended up waiting well over an hour for it! None of the staff were wearing PPE, no plastic shield between me and the staff member at counter and no sign of hand sanitizer... Food was okay-ish only warm and definitely missing the lovely flavour that I am used to from meals from this place in the past.I am disappointed with the service and quality of the food and certainly wont be visiting again anytime soon. Waste of £30

Ordered takeaway on chefonline the choice was delivery in an hour or pick up half an hour, so opted for pick up got a email stating it would be ready at 19.01, when I arrived at the restuarant I was told that my time was not correct by a very blunt woman behind the counter(think she is the owner) which had no plastic screening up, which surprised me especially in the light of the world we live in currently, said my order is schedualed for 19.40 which she pointed out to me on a receipt she had. Another issue that surprised me was a small child running around going into the kitchen and then into the restuarant and going up to others waiting for their takeaways, social distance seems to be forgotten about, no hand gel was provided, the adults didn't wear any face masks. I sat down and after talking to others waiting soon realised I was going to be here for a while.I approached the lady behind the counter at 19.45 and asked how long my meal was going to be, her reply was another 15 minutes, her reason was they are short staffed, sorry but that is not my fault. I eventually got my meal at 20.30. The quality of the food was very bland, not hot considering it had been freshly cooked so they made me believe. The last time I went to this restuarant for a take away I was so happy with everything (new years eve) so when I heard it had opened after lockdown was looking forward to it. Didn't enjoy and my hunger bangs gone.Not sure what as happened but I won't be using again and won't be recommending.

Went on a Sunday evening at 7pm - not exactly peak time but, we were the only ones in there. We looked through the Menu and when I made a choice I clearly asked "is it off the bone?" and I was told yes. My meal had 6 pieces of "meat" - 2 tough bits, 3 on the bone and one huge bit of gristle. When i said they had confirmed it was off the bone they denied the fact. Also, cash only - what a joke, they're obviously going bust. Never again, pricey and piss poor quality

Banquet set meal - Awesome food for a great price. Delivery driver was a really nice welcoming guy too.

Me and my partner ordered from here last week, ordering the banquet for two. We found it was great value for money. The food was lovely and very tasty. We can not complain one bit. Delivery was bang on schedule too with pleasant customer service. I do not understand the bad reviews. We will definitely be returning.

Went on a Friday evening at 9.30. Nobody else in the place which we thought was very strange. Food and service were average. When the bill came the cash machine was suddenly not working and they expected you to have £50/60 cash on you, really in this day and age but they were expecting you to go to a nearby cash machine if we did not have it. Certainly would not recommend and obviously neither would anybody else as there was nobody else in there! Says it all. Why would they only want cash? Dodgy! Small portions especially rice! RIP off and after looking at reviews we are not wrong. xx

Decided to have a take away with friends, never again. We ordered four types of rice, when we got home they were all the same. The Chicken jelfrezi had so much red pepper it should have been called red pepper jelfrezi, Friends binned there’s.

Our favourite Chinese take away have stopped delivering to our area so we ordered Indian from Mumbai blues we had chicken tikka masala ,lamb balti mushroom rice and chips,it was delivered in about 30 minutes piping hot and was absolutely delicious don’t care the Chinese are not delivering now after tasting this ,thank you .

Decided as someone who eats out on average 6 nights a week mainly in Grimsby/Cleethorpes I’d start writing reviews given I use this app loads when I’m out of town to help decide dinner venues!

Fantastic food exotic lamb curry

Hour and 20 mins for delivery when i was told half hour. Food watery, tasteless and inedible. Side dish just covered the bottom of the container, talk about small portions!! child answered the phone on 3 occasions before a woman answered and couldn’t understand a word I said before passing to someone else!! What a joke won’t be using again!!!

No table ready despite booking, had to stand for 15 minutes, dirty floor, dirty windows, only one “unisex” toilet provided with no hot running water (this was upstairs as other toilet downstairs was out of order!), arrived at 9pm got main course at 10:40pm (1hr 40mins wait!), 1 young boy waiting on a packed restaurant, also the same boy was clearing tables and taking orders too, was charged £5.80 for vodka and coke - could not taste any vodka and coke was totally flat, complained and second attempt no different! Ran out of bottles of beer. People complaining all night about slow service and wrong food turning up. Our food order was correct although nothing to shout home about. Worse thing for us was dirty surroundings and slow service.

Had to ask for our main course 40 mins after the pickle tray then as soon as we had finished our meal they wanted the table and was rushed out so didn’t have time to finish our drinks.they didn’t seem bothered.also the toilets was disgusting never again

Ordered from here a few times now last time wasn’t as nice and tonight well just shocking, 2 hours for my order it’s sunday not busy!! Also every time they either forget the popadoms or the nan (when you order a pickle tray you want the popadoms to go with it) nann bread was wet and soggy, the food well that wasn’t much better if I’m honest the starter we got was soggy the chicken on the chatt was tiny. The main well it was that bad me and my partner left all of it minus a few chips, this restaurant have lost 2 good customers such a shame it’s gone downhill I’ll be taking my business elsewhere now

So... I visited on the 3rd January with a friend because we had eaten there before and it was very good, however this visit was a disaster and disappointment all round.

Made an order waited over 1hr fair enuff however they missed rice off the order had to wait another 35 mins for rice by this time its all cold wouldnt do a thing about it i got nothing but argumentative responce on the phone, very poor service waited ove 1hr n half and not anything done about it wanted a refund and they said they had to take food back first so thought not waiting another half hour for my food back im shocked how bad the service and attitude was.

We visited Mumbai blues on a Wednesday evening and although it wasn’t busy, I feel this is due to the recent reviews it has received which I feel are unfair. The food was delicious, at no point on the menu did it incinuate you would receive rice with your meal (as one review stated), and was always an addition at a low cost. The waiter was very attentive, the menu was varied and the chef got it spot on. I feel this place is undervalued and we will be returning!

Mumbai Blues WAS a really good place to get a curry - not any more. The quality, taste and content have changed markedly. The chef, if they have one, needs to consider a different occupation. It's a shame, it's a shadow of its former self.

Over priced. Sauce was full of water, sent it back with the same happening with the new meal. Was ill during the night. Would not recommend to anyone.

Went here on a Wednesday evening, only people in the restaurant which advertised half price meals on Wednesdays. Only the curry is half price not the rice or sides this is fair enough, however, we ordered three popadoms with pickle tray, we where charged £3.90 each for one tray of four small jars and £3 for the popadoms so ££14.70 for 1 popadoms each with a bit of pickle. Felt extremely ripped off. If they are going to charge per person for a pickle tray, it should be one tray each and advertised as such. Otherwise food was good.

Great, really tasty & piping hot food (Malibu India & Exotic Lamb Curry). Good service. Pleasant, very clean restaurant. Good coffee & parking too! Our meal was very enjoyable & relaxing.

Me and my partner were the only 2 in the restaurant but the food still took ages to arrive, I ordered something that was rated mild on the menu but after 2 mouthfulls I could hardly speak it was that hot. I was offered another one which I refused but got anyway (and arrived suspiciously quickly) but didn't touch. It was basically a bowl of veg with the smallest prawns I have ever seen in my life for £12.90.

Went on a Monday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant, food was tasty but took ages to arrive. Toilet is awful, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for some time. Very expensive compared to other local restaurants.

After waiting 75 minutes for the starter to arrive the food quality was un inspiring the main course of Chicken Tikka Masala looked more like chicken in a raspberry sauce and tasted not much better this is the worst meal I have ever experienced in an Indian restaurant and cannot advise people to try anywhere else more if they want a nice meal it started several years ago as a fabulous restaurant but now is auwful such a shame

Easy to park although the car park is scruffy & seedy, the local shop owners need to up their game. The card machine wasn’t working which was a pain!! Service good although the waiter’s English is poor. We just had poppadoms & the pickle tray as a starter. The only lager they serve is Cobra which is always pricey. The curries we ordered were delicious with plenty of fresh chunky pieces of chicken. Not a cheap meal but very tasty & delicious. Dining chairs are very stylish but extremely uncomfortable & would put me off going again!

If you are prepared to wait, the food is excellent, if a little overpriced. Excellent decour. Friendly staff.

Don't order a takeaway unless you don't care when it turns up. I live round the corner and I was quoted an hour. I accepted this because I know they have to make it. But it's now 2 hours later and no sign of my takeaway. I have rang twice and I get told 5 minutes. Go somewhere else.

Very modern little place, excellent customer service, intresting decor ,I loved the food an the presentation was very different an interesting more modern ,the menu was varied an caterd for lots of different tastes .

Terrible and will never go back. Got a takeaway from here after years of promising I never would but thought I’d give it a go, people and places can change. Rude abusive telephone staff. Eventually cancelled the order and went somewhere else.

I have had great testy indian food ever. really good. I will be back again. recommend to all get test from here...

Oh dear took nearly an hour and a half to get food. Wasn't worth the wait. Had much better curry out of a packet . Beer was three pounds for a 330 mil bottle ( can of pop size ). Thought I was in London !! Food was extortionate and no apologies or discount for dreadful service . Won't be back again . Too many decent curry houses around here. Wonder how they are still in business? Must try a lot harder I'm afraid.

Visited here with my mum and husband Lamb Tika a bit chewy main course chicken jakfrazi very spicy hot but nice. Others mains ok. Must admit other dishes coming out for other dinners looked better presented perhaps we chose wrong. Tried to short change me be resolved quickly. Very cold in Restaurant only tiny heater on Would I visit again perhaps not
