Nice pub but they kept changing their minds about when they were and weren’t serving food, can’t guarantee getting any food after 7:30 on a Saturday

Been there on a sunny day and I was surprised they had a garden! I ordered a pizza to share with my partner and I can say was a good pizza! We spent the afternoon watching our team on the big TV outside. We also tried some of the craft beers on tap , staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Good spot!

Came in last week with my partner to meet up with some old friends. Staff were really friendly and the pub has a good range of beers and spirits. Will happily come back again soon. Shout out to Mark for his great service!

A nice pub tucked away in the corner of the street with a warm atmosphere, friendly staff and good selection pizza, pints and other drinks. They run quite a few offers through the week and I especially enjoyed the discounts of craft beer.

Popped in to my local for a couple of drinks after work, Found staff miserable, didn’t even get a hello from the bar staff, waiting at the bar a good 5 min to order,still no acknowledgement from the staff behind the bar. I was about to walk out then another barmaid come Over to take my order. She also had absolutely no charisma, in fact between the 3 bar staff. There wasn’t one smile, or personally between them. I didn’t even finish my drink. There are far better places to go. Shame as it is cosy in there, but no atmosphere 👎🏻

Stumbled upon this lovely pub on Saturday when out cycling & had a delicious pie & mash. Leanne served us and was really friendly. The service was really quick and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!

I arranged a wake for my father, who went to church around the corner. Diogo and his team were amazing in organising a wake, all done remotely. On the day, the team were so helpful, provided great customer service, and made everyone feel so welcome....

We had a lovely dinner and drinks here. We had the ‘Moo and Blue’ pies which were great value and really tasty! Also enjoyed the 2-4-1 cocktails and had great service from Leanne. Will be back again!

Great pub, great food - good service from Leah as always. The taste of the crispy onions really tickled my pickle. I enjoyed the bubbles in the beer, they were very fizzy.

Gorgeous pub , the pies are so good. We stopped here with our dog for lunch & sat outside. She was invited in but was so muddy we thought best to stay outdoors. I had the Moo pie with mash & loved it!

Recently visited the pub to shoot some scenes for a short film. The staff were really accommodating and made us feel very welcome! We really enjoyed our time working there.

Very few pubs in London have captured the real spirit of local community. St James' is a great place to hang out with friends, to chat and eat together. There are multiple spaces to do that and each are just as nice as each other. The staff are very knowledgeable of their craft and what is on offer and they seem very willing to lend a hand when needed. Overall, a very cool place, it's warm and welcoming with great food! Lovely!

Desafortunadamente, tuvimos una muerte reciente en nuestra familia y este fue el único lugar que pudimos encontrar con muy poca antelación que era local. Había alrededor de 50 de nosotros.Al llegar al lugar, tuve que preguntar dónde podía entrar ya que no había acceso para discapacitados desde el frente del edificio.Me llevaron a través de sus puertas traseras hacia el patio de basura, que durante este clima cálido no fue nada agradable.Más allá de los contenedores estaba su jardín, era muy pequeño ya que habían llenado muchos bancos y me costó mucho sacar mi silla de ruedas.La mujer continuó hacia la puerta trasera del pub y me dijo que me quedara allí. Le dije que necesitaba el baño y si podía decirme dónde estaban, me ignoró y entró.¡Entonces pude ver por qué ella me ignoró, la puerta trasera tenía 2 - 3 escalones y todavía no podía acceder al edificio!Peor aún que mientras estaba sentado afuera decidieron poner algo de música. En otras circunstancias, esto puede haber sido divertido, pero no ese día, la canción más apropiada para tocar fue Knocking on Heavens Door. !Sinceramente, no puedo creer que haya lugares que no puedan atender a las personas discapacitadas y su actitud al respecto me disgustó, ¡realmente no les importó! De hecho, no parecía importarles mucho.Habíamos acordado que almorzaríamos allí, ¿no todos sabíamos que solo vendían pasteles? !El menú me pareció muy fuera de lugar de la zona en la que estábamos.¡Todo el almuerzo salió mal con la gente esperando mucho tiempo para su almuerzo, algunos tuvieron que reordenar y otros recibieron el orden completamente equivocado!No puedo comentar nada dentro del edificio ni nada parecido a la elección de bebidas, etc. Aunque puedo decirles que después de unos 30 minutos se habían quedado sin dos espíritus, sé que uno era Brandy, no recuerdo el otro.Ahora que habíamos reservado este lugar para que supieran que vendríamos, cuántos habría y que estaríamos comiendo, pero parecían muy poco preparados.En resumen, si estás en una silla de ruedas, no te molestes, si te gusta una buena variedad de alimentos de calidad, no te molestes y si crees que te puede gustar más de una bebida, ¡no te molestes más!

Estábamos de regreso del metro y necesitábamos almorzar. No hay muchos lugares para comer en este vecindario, así que esto fue así por defecto. Vimos a alguien sentado afuera charlando en el teléfono y cuando entramos, no había nadie alrededor. Supongo que ella lo era, pero tenía otras prioridades. Finalmente, alguien más salió de la parte de atrás para ayudarnos (sí, ella regresó al trabajo en algún momento). Hay una bonita zona ajardinada en la parte de atrás que teníamos para nosotros. Ambos comimos pastel y puré, ¡y fue realmente bueno! Comí pollo y champiñones, y fue una de las mejores comidas que comí en el viaje. El servicio fue rápido y el precio estaba bien.

I visited this bar last week, all round it was a nice establishment, the bar staff were very welcoming. Other than one, I’m not to sure whether she was manager/assistant manager/ or supervisor but she was extremely rude to the staff, and to some customers also. She looked miserable behind the bar. I would not be going back there at all.

When this pub was upgraded it was a much better experience than before. This Iintensity has not been maintained the service is lack lustre and slow without motivation or drive and is no longer a destination pub.

Con frecuencia visito este pub, cuando me siento mal o solo quiero pasar un rato con mis amigos. Fui a una reunión de negocios rápida y me recibieron con una cálida bienvenida de parte de las hermosas damas que estaban detrás del bar. Pedimos nuestras bebidas y nos sentamos en el servicio de mesa era impecable la dama negra con pelo corto que nos sirvió para asegurarse de que estábamos satisfechos con lo que pedimos. Todos y todos en el bar fue muy amable.

Estábamos en una caminata de ocho millas, y encontramos este pub por casualidad, después de lo que se suponía que íbamos a comer tuvimos un desastre. Bueno, ¿qué suerte tuvimos? El personal del bar era eficiente y conocía su cerveza, la cerveza y el vino eran excelentes, y las tartas, si no festivas, eran muy, muy buenas. El pub en general estaba muy bien decorado, tenía muebles cómodos y estaba impecablemente limpio.

The menu is limited to pies. But not just any old pies. They are good. And there's a variety on offer. The choice of beer is good also so unless you really want something more fancy and pricey, this is a good place to come to. The atmosphere is also good, the staff are welcoming and there's plenty of seating, both inside and out. Frequented by local Londoners. A nice find.

Food arrived very quickly. Would've appreciated more veg pie options but the 'Kevin' was pretty good. Nice atmosphere and clean tables etc. Pretty overpriced food for what it actually is. All in all I will probably go back. Meantime beer is great after all.

Nice local pub with a good variety of beer on tap. Its fireplaces, arm chairs, and high cielings really create a warm, cozy space you could spend hours at, enjoying a Meantime, having some crisps, and petting all the neighbordhood dogs.

Went here for lunch and had one of their "Mothership" pie specials, which was delicious. Lots of comfy chairs and the irish barista was very charming. Defs recommend.

Fui con algunos amigos desde el extranjero para mostrar lo que un típico pub de Londres es como. el personal era muy grosero con nosotros - que sirve a otras personas en el bar que habían llegado después de nosotros (porque eran chicas bastante jóvenes? Cuando finalmente). Pude que nos fueron tan groseros que decidimos salir e ir a otro sitio. Este podría ser un lugar muy agradable, pero está completamente estropeado por el personal del bar era desagradable. nunca volver.

Partner queued for service, when ignored and Pol, the manager, served some girls before him, he was told that’s because they had lipstick on. This is appalling, we will never visit our local pub again.

I was booked for a gig at this place. After setting up and sound checking we had Pie and mash. The Steak & Stilton was the tastiest pie i ever had and i would strongly recommend anyone to try it.

I pre-booked space for 15 people after a sports event last Monday. On arrival the staff could not find my booking and had to turf some people out of their seats to make way for my group. The staff then informed me that they didn't have a lot of the pie or starter options due to a delivery coming in tomorrow. I ordered and the food came out promptly. The pub had a good selection of beers which was good. However I had under-ordered so i went back to the bar to order more food, which the barman said that due to our big order the kitchen was getting through the backlog of other orders, i said i would come back in a bit. i came back in 15 mins and was advised the kitchen was closed. I emailed the pub the day after expressing dissatisfaction with the service and i have had no reply since. All in all quite a disappointing service for what seems like a popular pub.

Cosy place in a lovely building, with a friendly atmosphere even when busy. A bit of everything in the way of drinks (including a couple of local breweries) and some good picks for guest ales. Outdoor seating in the back garden is nice now that the weather is picking up.

I visited here today to meet with a friend, I ordered a bottle of wine and paid £20 for it. The wine was warm, when I told the lady she just shrugged her shoulders and said “all of them are warm put ice in it” i’m not being funny but I don’t like my wine watered down with ice especially after paying £20 for a bottle, disgusting service to say the least..

Cuando este pub fue ascendido fue una experiencia mucho mejor que antes. Esta intensidad no se ha mantenido el servicio es lento y sin lustre falta motivación o en coche y ya no es un destino de pub.

Tenía un bistec fantástico y ale tarta con puré y salsa para el almuerzo. Personal muy atento aunque el pub estaba muy lleno.

He estado aquí dos veces. Excelentes tartas. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente. Tiene una zona al aire libre en la parte trasera, aunque no pintoresco.

He visitado este lugar regularmente durante un par de meses y el personal del bar aquí son encantadores. Ben y Nicola son siempre sonriente y dispuesto a ayudar. Sólo hay un problema, aunque tengo ahí la 4 / 5 estrellas. Hay un nuevo barman, que su nombre no lo sé, pero ella ha disminuido (pelo azul) que pueden ser muy secos y fríos y bastante antipáticos hacia los clientes. Aparte de eso, aunque este lugar es increíble, y los pasteles son 10 / 10!

I've been to this pub three times and the first time everything was fine. We ordered three pies and they came at around the same time, all properly cooked. The second two times have been awful. On the second occasion two of our five pies didn't turn up. I asked (politely!) where they were as everyone else at our table had finished theirs and got a rude response back. Two pies eventually turned up, one of which was clearly not what had been ordered. I pointed this out and was told that it was definitely my pie. As I was about to give up and start eating it, the waitress came running back because I'd got someone else's pie. She was really rude.The final time, we again ordered five pies. Four of them made it to the table although one was cold in the middle. The service wasn't quite as rude as the woman we had on the second occasion. There must be some sort of issue with the kitchen or their system as we noticed other tables having similar issues.

I would give this place 5 stars if I could garauntee the right staff are working... They've got good beer and some quality wing back chairs if you're lucky enough to grab them.... however I have had a couple of visits where it wasn't all rosy...On my most recent visit I was stood at the bar waiting to be served. When the girl behind the bar had finished with the previous customer she just walked off and started moving glasses around. She looked at me at least twice and ignored me... When she did eventually find the time to serve me I'm pretty sure she didn't actually utter a single word, except the price which of course wasn't accompanied by a "please..."I could forgive that if it wasn't for the fact that we were then turfed out pretty abruptly at 11pm. I don't know the official opening hours but that certainly doesn't tally with what's listed here. And even if it did, to have all the lights turn off completely and be left in the dark is a pretty disgusting way of getting people out of your pub (never mind the potential health and safety issue... I'm annoyed I didn't take the opportunity to 'fall over' to be honest.) I wouldn't be surprised if the girl mentioned earlier just wanted to go home early.
