St. Friary fish & chips in Blackpool

Absolutely awful cheap trays that are in half wen you get home. Asked for chips curry and sausage. Got chips gravy pea’s & sausage looked like a tray of sick peas was all hard

Came teatime saturday,dont know if staff changed or under staffed when it was very busy,gravy and peas both watery,chips under cooked and portions very small,only thing worth eating on a big family order was the steak pudding and sausage,wont be rushing back will pay bit extra and go to the better local chip shop,also many a evening closes before stated time

Helpful staff, making certain order was correct, condiments, forks, bag service was bang on. Food taste amazing.

Wrong order, taken back. Nil ciustomer service, just told to speak to just eat, no apology, or food.

Coming from Yorkshire you really can't beat fish and chips fried in good old Beef Dripping, gives it a proper taste. 20-30 minutes walk from Promenade but though we'd check them out for a takeaway. Ordered a medium fish and chips to share and walk back with. Cooked to order and tasted fantastic, hot and fresh.

AVOID.. on there break the staff will smoke weed and drink alcohol very unprofessional and really horrible

Really bad service. Not willing to go above and beyond for customers. They do whatever they can to avoid helping you out. First day, even though I had walked 20 minutes and was 10 minutes away they said no as they turned their fryers off. No accommodation whatsoever for a new customer. Second day cancelled my first order on just eat as it was too late apparently, even though just eat allows that time. Tried calling 100 times and finally got through, put the order through, and even though just eat assigned a driver at 6:40pm it was still too late. Would not recommend booking here, they don’t seem to care about business. And I’d you don’t care about business, you shouldn’t be in business. If you want to be messed around, give them a try, if not, avoid. What kind of chippy closes at 8pm anyway?

I use this chippy every week with my colleagues at work, we phone in and the friendly and helpful staff take my order and we collect, it is always spot on hot, and fresh and priced well.. It really is a little gem of a place, and the staff treat every customer so well, a brilliant friendly chip shop.

I bought me and my sister a portion of chips they were only just warm, old and way too greasy. We didn’t even finish the portion as we both felt sick afterwards. Really disappointing seen as it’s been alright every other time we’ve gone here.

Old fashioned chippy would recommend and meal deals are great value . Would defo go back when visiting Blackpool

Had fish chips and peas, a take away I am only 5 mins away by car by the time I got home the chips and the peas were almost cold, the fish at £3:80 for a regular one was not that big and not the best fish I have had, the batter was soggy and a portion size of chips was not that big either, not that it really mattered as most of it went in the bin anyway.

Ony 2 years old, this chippy is probably blackpool's cleanest. The food is nicely cooked and never greasy, and is not expensive either. My wife has the small fish and chips, and there is more than enough

Tried St Friary a couple of times now, I think because it's a nice set-up I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. The service is good but the fish and the chips are not to quite the same standard.

Chips were overcooked and half were scraps. The fish was so overcooked that I couldn't manage to scrape half the meat off the batter! MOST disappointed, as last time we went, everything was perfectly cooked. NOT happy

Everything on the menu is well priced and you get great portion sizes for the money you pay. My family and I go here regularly to enjoy a chippy tea. The fish, chips, sausage and curry are excellent choices. Every item is cooked beautifully in our experience and it's always piping hot when you get home. Definitely the best Chippie in my area and well worth spending your hard earned money at without a doubt. 'Bon appetite'.

Aquí en tiempo llamado sábado almuerzo, tuve un barm patatas. pastel, mi mujer tenía mini patatas fritas pescado n.Los peces no parecen bonitas, ebt las patatas fritas en la otra mano, dejaba mucho que desear, estaban llenos de ojos de las patatas, eran crujiente y lo peor de todo, eran verdes.Tenían extraña tinte verde para ellos, mi madre siempre me dijo que nunca utilizar la parte verde de una patata, cortada.Patatas fritas eran las peores que he tenido en mucho tiempo.No hace falta decir que les llevó de vuelta para un reembolso.

Ate here a few times, whole family enjoyed their meals, friary specials are good portions for the price, perfect for child with bigger appetite

Got 2 portions of sausage and chips 1 large and 2 kids fish and chips,wasn't given a large portion and all the chips were raw won't be going back.

this is now my regular port of call for my haddock butty----the fish is spot on--large white flakes of fish in a crispy golden batter fried in beef dripping just the way it should be.

this fish shop is fantastic--beautiful white flaky haddock fried in beef dripping along with fresh cut chips and mushy peas---everything fried to order + nice teacakes ( barms ) this place has to be in the running for fish & chip shop of the year 2017---give it a try--
