Squeeze in Verve in Stoke-on-Trent

Been here a few times before to work on some projects with friends. Went there today half an hour after the opening time and it was closed. Was open at the same time 2 weeks before. Majorly disappointing and frustrating as we basically had to cancel our plans and it has put us further back on our project not being able to meet properly

Absolutely ruined. Now a husk of its former self, menu is stripped and nights are now suited for shut-ins.

Menu has changed. Used to go here for the wings. No longer available. Ordered the Gourmet Hotdog for £4. The cheapest bread that fell apart and the cheapest hotdog sausage. £1 would have been too much. Nothing gourmet about it. Aweful. Served on a chopping board does not make it gourmet. It was ridiculous.

Great place to eat or drink. The Students who were working there were really friendly and helpful.

Not the bar/night scene you might expect from early reviews. This is a lovely chill out spot, great for coffee and a meet up with friends. I regularly bring my baby here to chill out as they have accessible facilities and a calming vibe. Friendly staff and quality coffee. Highly recommend.

Very nice staff here, and loved my time at university when this was the goto for casual meetings and dinners with friends, but please train the staff on how to pour pints. I'm to nice to question this since your staff are my age.

My original review had been seen over 2000 times. Since that review, Verve has changed a lot. It has hosted our society for two years with no issues and the food quality has improved significantly. Go and visit it 👍

Decent quality food and service.

Waited 30 mins for a drink and ended up leaving without one, will be back eventually to see if it was a one-off, but the music was great ^^

Awful due to Brexit raising the price of the Yoda.

I want to like this place, but would be good if the service could be even slightly consistent. Sometimes food is nice, sometimes it's 'meh' other times it's downright ville. Plus.. when will they learn how to make a cola properly ? It's either watery, flat, just tastes like syrup. Numerous times I've had to send food back, is easier just to ask for money back and go to work hungry.
