Delicious coffee (I tried a flat white and a gorgeous batch brew). The avocado on toast was the best I have ever had, the different oils and picked onions elevated the dish without being overbearing. Friendly staff and child friendly.

Delicious food, served in a small, quirky cafe that serves excellent coffee. The staff are friendly and I love the fact that is uses local suppliers.

Friendly staff & quick service. Only I was disappointed with the size of the take away latte I ordered. It was in an 8oz beaker & I was asked if I would like sugar or sweetener, I chose sugar thinking it would be given to me separately as I only add sugar sometimes & even then only half a sachet… So it was very small for a latte and too sweet for me to enjoy fully…

We've been coming here as a family since it opened and have always loved the friendly staff, inviting atmosphere and wonderful food and drinks Today our 7 month old tried his first offering of Avo on toast and it's safe to say we have another Peg fan on our hands. Thanks for all you do! Miles, Rachel, Dylan and Isaac x

We have been to the Square Peg many times and we were beginning to think it was losing its lustre. The food and coffee is generally good, but it's now a tired formula and they seem to be going through some problems at present. Yesterday, we were there for lunch before 1pm, ordered our meals and explained our daughter was slightly held up but would be there shortly. We then ordered for our daughter, our meals came...and then just before our daughter arrived we were told we couldn't have our daughter's order, there was no more food!...and the chef was going home! This was only 1.15pm and we had the embarrassing option of having to ask for another plate to share what was left of our meals. Unforgivable! Next time, if there is a next time, please tell us in advance that the chef can't be bothered to prepare lunches at lunchtime, and we'll go somewhere else!

Love it here for breakfast. Always far too much food and plate full of yumminess that you can’t stop eating. Tried the turmeric late ( I don’t even like coffee). I’ve been reconfigured about it to everyone since. Was hands down better than any big brand spiced latte. Was like a desert in a cup. Well done for being different. Service always impeccable.

This place has style, finesse and character. What it doesnt have, patience or time for the humble egg. Let me break it down, in simple terms. No scrambled egg! The waitress was bored of the same simple request she must have heard a thousand times by nervous egg-conisseurs. She didnt know the answer, perhaps there is no answer. But id like to know why scrambled egg is such a taboo subject. They made me feel like a square peg, in a round hole. Other than that delicious food and lovely service 5 stars.

Wow wow wow. The best brunch we've had in a very long time. Such a unique menu with quirky flavours. So nice to see something original and different to your standard avo on sourdough. This is going to be a tough one to top. If you're passing through Sketty, you must stop here.

Can’t believe I’ve not reviewed this coffee shop before! There is always a warm welcome from the staff which is a great start. The coffee shop is quite small but there are now some pavement tables. The coffee is simply the best. Probably the best I’ve had anywhere not just in Swansea. The food is great but different - I love the bacon an and egg on sourdough. There is a great selection of cakes but what’s on offer changes from day to day. Monday is one of my favourite days as they often have pastel de nata. If you’re in Swansea make sure you visit

5/5. Had a Naan bread with bacon, eggs, cream cheese and beetroot purée. It was absolutely delicious, a marriage of flavours made in heaven. Highly recommend as is the lovely coffee

Popped in for a quick coffee whilst waiting for the bus. Ordered and went to pay. Only to be told it was card only now & they had gotten rid of the till. Unfortunately I had to leave due to this. Absolutely ridiculous policy to have. Found this to be quite shocking really. Shame though as the place looked fairly decent.

What am absolute gem! A not for profit cafe using quality yummy ingredients with an international menu. Busy with visitors in their 20's to 80's. The amount of times the friendly barista said "hello, shall I get you your usual?" in the hour we were there was insane! A proper local feel. Will definitely make the trip to Uplands when we are in Swansea next.

My partner and his family visited in November. We were made to feel very welcome. Great ales on tap. We were lucky enough for them to let us eat a takeaway in there as the restaurant we planned to go to had double booked which was very kind of them. We had a great night and was so privileged to hear Hermione the bar manager sing in a cappella an Irish folk tune. Wow we couldn't hear a pin drop when she sang. It literally took my breath away. Definitely recommend this place and we will definitely revisit .

I have waited several weeks before writing this. I rarely post negative reviews, particularly not for small independent venues. But the price of 2 pieces of cheese on toast costing £10.95 is still irritating me. I didn’t look at the bill until sitting back down and my bank account flashed up the amount. I went back to the counter and asked if this was correct. Then to add insult to injury, we had nearly finished our coffees and my wife went to the counter to check where the cheese on toast was. No apology from the staff, and they said it was waiting in the kitchen as they couldn’t remember what table ordered it. You would expect sour dough bread or some, artisan crafted speciality bread and a fine local Welsh mature cheddar for this price. What we received was big standard supermarket sliced brown bread and a meagre layer of big standard supermarket cheese, that barely covered the cardboard toast. It was now barely tepid and ranks as the worst and most expensive cheese on toast we have ever had. Our cake was good but I overpriced, and the coffee was OK, but no where near as good as numerous other coffee shops in Swansea. Positives are: venue is nice and clean, staff friendly but somewhat dopey. It’s a shame they demolished my old school Ty-Coch. I am sure the catering ladies would have done a better job

Love the cakes, though, 4 months after moving shop they have yet to update online sources with their new telephone number.
