Went to Lindisfarne festival with my partner, who has coeliac disease. There were very few options for gluten-free food, so we were excited to find GF loaded fries. After explaining that she can not have anything in the same fryer/even a crumb of gluten, we were assured the food here was coeliac safe. After 15 minutes, my partner was violently ill. We went back to let them know so that they were aware of the issue. They showed very little compassion for how ill she had been, denying any accountability and not even offering an apology. Staff were incredibly condescending. Advocating for yourself and your dietary needs can be difficult, so to be disregarded in this way was really disappointing. For the rest of the festival, my partner was unwell. Perhaps all ingredients/methods need to be reconsidered when offering truly gluten-free food.

Changing my review as I've found out whoever owns Darlington market are nitwits and charge a fortune to rent here. Spud Guns is one of the nicest current stalls, they do feel expensive but that's clearly not their fault and the market should sort out their priorities, they already chased off the Asian food stall which was unreal.

Had the PB&J, absolutely delicious. Good thing I don't live here or I'd be eating them every day. The people serving were lovely as well. Can't complain.

Went in for a quick snack after a long day about town. Service was great. Food was fresh. Had the most lightest nan bread. Looked like a fluffy puff of cloud. :D JUST THE WAY I like it. Been to many restaurants around the UK. This is was best. Loved the naga spiced sauce with the poppadoms. The Tandoori grill had heat and warmth. Rice and curries were light with bags of flavour. Children were paid attention to and given drinks of their choices, topped up constantly. As a native asian, who cooks curries at home, I'll will still be back again when I want to have a break from my own cooking.

Food was good but not hot. I don’t have a clue what was going on but we ordered a late lunch on a Saturday and it took an hour to get to us. Mum had a pie; I think maybe they did the rest too soon then had to wait for that? Was obviously great quality food and lots of it - I had the pork and bacon and would recommend it - but nobody explained the wait and the food really wasn’t hot. Lovely place but a bit disappointing.
