We have been regular customers here over the years and they seem to get orders correct now however they can’t seem to complete a table at once leaving people watching others in the party eat. Prices are high for quality of product. After our food we wanted to use Toilets before leaving. When we walked towards toilets, we were told toilets are closed due to having already been cleaned!! 30 mins before store closing. Food was still being served! We are somewhat surprised and wonder about the legality of this. We intend informing head office of this incident. We then went over road to Scoops and the staff kindly let us use their facilities. We did inform them why. We know where we will be going for our desserts in future. We will be sure to tell all our friends of our experience and recommend places for Desserts accordingly.

Staff incredibly rude, ordered a crepe with extra biscoff toppings. Arrived with incorrect toppings when I asked if they could change they argued that I never ordered that originally. Debated with me for a while and then begrudgingly made me another crepe. 0 customer service and then had to both ask for fresh cutlery as was served dirty. Left to eat food at two separate times due to waiting for remake.

Terrible Portion Sizes Coming from London I’m used to expensive prices and small portion sizes but this place takes the cake (or shall I say cookie dough)! I am used to sharing cookie dough but this was terrible, the cookie dough was tiny and the ice cream was equally as small. Forget sharing, it did not even fill myself up. I was left dissatisfied and having to pay £10 I was shocked. I’d advise in future they label it as a mini-cookie dough in order not to deceive the general public.

Wow!...just WOW! Row upon row of delicious gelato ....and not one spoonful to eat! Tried to order and the guy on the counter looked at me as if I was speaking Swahili then just looked out the window. I wasn't of course but then I wasn't a nineteen year old blonde student ...just a pensioner. We just walked out - something very wrong here.

This used to be a nice friendly place when it first opened many years ago. It has really gone downhill. It was a sunny, warm day so it should have been busy. It was empty. The "gelati" looked horrid, full of yucky ingredients and bright colours. In Italy this business would have gone bankrupt many years ago. I agree with other reviews, the staff were rude, dismissive and cold as the ice cream. What a shame!

The hot water wasn’t working which meant no tea, coffee or chocolate. CocaCola was served in its own bottle with a straw, no glass offered. Ice cream Sundae was served without a napkin.

I made a simple online order of two cookie doughs with some extra toppings when i arrived i had my order number on my phone however the lady behind the till either wouldn’t accepted or didn’t know how to accept that as proof of order so she gave inconsistent replies until she just asked what our order consisted of then before i’d finished my sentence she cut me off and said 5 minutes, after which she had given me two plain cookie dough without my toppings and therefore taking the extra money i had paid for those toppings. 9/10 food but 1/10 service

Fantastic range and choice of ice cream dishes. Get a menu, pick a table and order and pay at counter. Clean pleasant and freshly made.

We go here as a Meetup Group quite a few times as is always a favourite and it can accommodate a fair few of us. Always a treat, waffles, ice cream, cuppa and cake. Plenty of choice, go you won't be disappointed. Only slight concern is having to ask to be let into toilets, understand why but when it is busy can complicate things.

Came for Monday funday (Sunday), however was nice and busy. Staff seemed annoyed with each other with one person in all black getting aggy with the staff. Dessert was good, no complaints here. I am struggling with mobility and it was not busy, however when I ordered I was told I needed a table number however there was no numbers on tables except for a single number 10. Wish they would go back to their old method of giving you a table number. Or… putting more table numbers on tables so they have table numbers.

Took family members here as they had been wanting to go for ages now , what can I say NEVER AGAIN, my sister is a paraplegic in a wheelchair and although she got through the door that's where the wheelchair friendly attitude stopped, tables are not wheelchair friendly and she was just stuck on the end of a table and told as long as she not in the way of staff it will be fine , she couldn't reach the table to eat her food and when asked for a tray staff grunted and just said no , in the end she had to eat of of a game board we had purchased elsewhere. I have been arguing with this company for over a month for a resolution and nothing , they offered a £20 voucher when we spent £40. Claim they are wheelchair friendly and blame everything on covid . They say that tables are standard height for everyone , WELL CLEARLY NOT FOR THE DISABLED !!!!!!!!. TAKE MY ADVICE AND CROSS THE STREET . STAFF ARE RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS. ABSOLUTELY NO CARE FOR THE DISABLED COMMUNITY!!!!!!!!!

Such a choice! On our short stay in Portsmouth we tried to work our way through each flavour a different one each every day. As it's open till midnight we didn't have a sweet after our meal & went there before we went back to our hotel & had pudding there. The waffles are lovely & you can swap fruit, I had strawberry instead of banana as it's was too late at night to eat banana. Staff were good too, you may have a wait as they do takeaway & delivery service too which gets busy after 10pm.

So me and my friend ordered from here off of Deliveroo. Disappointed is an understatement. We visit here frequently in store as we love it, we always leave defeated. HOWEVER, when it finally turns up I could not put in to words how awful it was. It was freezing cold so had to microwave it, let’s just say, no full sized plate was needed. Other than that, the one bite waffle was nice complimented nicely with ice cream soup.

Ice cream is my favourite food but Sprinkles really needs to up it's quality. Even my nephew who has an limitless appetite for anything sweet didn't finish everything. Pistachio gelato flavourless, raspberry sorbet artificial, smoothie was actually a cheap slushie and coffee tasted like burnt toast. Menu is overwhelming, descriptions of the ice creams and what's in them needs improvement. On the plus side, staff seemed friendly and efficient, caramel and hazelnut gelatos were nice, place was clean and spacious and all the food arrived roughly at the same time.

I’ve come here a few times with my partner and friends and it’s always been good friendly service. But today has been horrendous. I ordered a cup of tea and the waiter had forgotten to bring me some milk as he was pretty busy. Sometimes these things happen and it wasn’t a problem. I asked another older waitress walking past politely for some milk because he had forgotten, and she was so rude and told me to F off and go and get it myself and then stormed off and didn’t bring me any milk. I couldn’t believe how rude she was. The younger member of staff were very nice and very apologetic for this ladies behaviour but it just isn’t good enough. The younger staff have always been polite and helpful but the lady today was awful and shouldn’t be allowed to work her giving the company a bad name.

Came here for a quick waffle stop-off, and was thoroughly pleased with the service and quality of food! The lady serving us behind the bar was very helpful, steering us to the best choices of gelato, and encouraging us to try the ice cream before we committed to adding it to our waffles! Would definitely recommend!

So I am a daily customer to sprinkle gelato - commercial road and I always order hot cookie dough. This visit there was a new employee working, she served the cookie dough with less amount of chocolate on the top of the dough. I asked her to have more chocolate "as usual" and she did, she told her manager about it, the manager came to my table while I was speaking on the phone telling me "hello, this time is fine but next time I'm going to charge you extra 50p for this!" The was very rude! I'm like "I come here daily and now you're gonna lose a customer " she said "okay up to you"... how come a manager does not keen on keeping good relations between the shop and their frequent customers! I cant believe such ppl still exist, yet they charge extra £1 for cookie dough and it taste awful, go for Scoops they're cheaper and way better

Two Gelato places opposite each other, Sprinkles and the other one whose name I can’t remember. Had a disappointing experience in the other place the previous day and wanted another Gelato. So many choices when you enter, amazing number of flavours and tastes, there will be something for everyone. Even in January, a bit of Gelato hits the spot!!

Visit sprinkles almost every month with uni friends or when family come to visit. Something for everyone on the menu from milkshakes to crepes to waffles. Best dessert parlour in Portsmouth!

Quick service/consistent food/Good variety! Definitely recommend the belgian chocolate sensation waffle!! Workers need to smile more though

There’s certainly no shortage of option for what to eat here. There’s a huge menu plus you can create your own from the extensive range of toppings and ice cream flavours. We both had waffles which were delicious.

You just gotta love Sprinkles. What is there not to like? Ice cream, waffles, loads of calories....the best.

Stumbled across this place by accident, and what a happy accident it was.

First visit to Sprinkles. Purchased a Tropical fruit Sundae. The presentation of all of the four sundaes that were served was brilliantly colourful , appetising and pleasing to the eye. The flavours of the ice cream were perfect and complimented by the fresh fruit and sauces that garnished it. Definetly recommend and will be visiting again when next visiting family...

Never disappointed! Delicious naughty treats! The crepes are my favourite along with the reeses gelato milkshake. Speedy customer service and plenty of comfortable seating!

This was our first visit to Sprinkles, we have been to many others like here before. I have to say the desserts are lovely, hard to finishing them all off. Have to say we found it much cheaper then most, like creams but the desserts are just as good. Some staff can be hard work if you like to take something of or add something. Overall a nice cold dessert on a freezing winters day.

Me and my friend were looking to grab a quick and nice desert after our meal and Sprinkles didn't let us down. The white chocolate delight waffle was great, I highly recommend it and service was very prompt. We will be back!

After having dinner with my friend we decided to have our puddings here . I had a cookie dough with Reece’s and caramel ice cream and my friend only had one scoop ice cream maxi , was so delicious and we will come again for sure .

I visited with family as a half term treat and we had four children between us. . Between us we had a mixture of sundaes, ice cream, waffles and pancakes. I can't fault the food it was presented well and delicious. The only gripe I have really was the toilets. My sister and I both took our children to the toilet and returned at different times. We both noted that the ladies had completely run-out of soap and informed a very grumpy waitress separately about it. We were both met with a grunt and no acknowledgement. It was only around 11.45 am which is very early in the day so surely this should have been checked. We spoke to another more friendly waitress and she apologised but said they had run out and didn't have any more. Sprinkles is on a busy high street. Could someone not just pop to a shop? It's a bit worrying if the whole place has run out of soap as it serves food.

Lovely food, wait times a little off, we all usually order roughly the same thing and they all come out at random times but otherwise fine!

The variety the store has to offer is amazing, the flavours change all the time (good if you love trying new things but sad when you find a new love and go back and that flavours gone ahah). I'd say it's a little over priced for what it is. It's hit and miss with the staff some of them are lovely others just look like they really couldn't give a damn which i get but to when you're serving customers and you don't seem to give a damn or interested at all in doing you're job it really doesn't make people wanna return

I visited here and had a Peanut Choconana Waffle. The staff were very accommodating to my dietary needs. You won't need to eat anything else if you pop by for a sweet treat!

We took our daughter here after her school prom as a well done , there was about 5 couples we brought 2 ice creams 1 coffee and 1 hot chocolate ice ice came first then we waited over 20mins for our hot drinks buy the time the kids eat the ice creams our hot drinks turned up ( cold ) my wife asked for a refund and we are still waiting that's over 3 weeks now .we paid buy card still waiting .

I have visited here a couple of times. The food here is excellent; unfortunately I always feel the service is lacking. No one seams happy to work, what a shame!!

It's a shame really, their ice cream, waffles and crepes are my favorite! I've had multiple bad experiences with their staff. I ordered the magical fruit crepe but asked for milk chocolate instead of white chocolate (as I absolutely hate white chocolate), 20 mins later the serves comes and apologizes saying he had already put white chocolate on my crepe and could make a new one if I wanted or could add milk chocolate to what he had already made. I asked for a new one with milk chocolate only and the server gave me a death stare, THREW the tissues on the table and walked away.

I love going here with my friend. We always eat here when we come to town. I definitely recommend. I get great service and it always comes quickly no matter how busy.

They have decided to reduce their portions considerably! I always get cones with a scope for my little girls, one is 2 and the other 4, to our surprise the ice cream was flush with the cone! Completely flat when we mentioned that, we were told that it's a new portion policy and that's how it is now... To add to the disappointment I was not told that my ice cream was going to be a 20min wait so the girls had their ice cream in 5 mins and then we sat waiting for mine.. ruined my father's day

Visited first thing on a Saturday morning with my daughter and her friend. They both had a waffle and drink each and I settled for coffee and cake. Waffles were amazing as ever. Coffee and cake deal is a good idea. Offers also available on hot drinks for buy one get one free. Lots of tables available at this time. Staff were ok, not overly friendly. Almost like they were too busy to serve, even though there was only one other table in at this time. £20 for 2 waffles, 3 drinks and a piece of cake.

C'est à la fois un régal pour les yeux et le palais, il faut bien sûr aimer les désserts, il y en a pour tous les goûts( glaces avec des parfums variés et originaux, des gaufres, des smoothies...) bref c'est un délicieux.

The waffles are amazing. I had something like white chocolate? It was so filling I couldn't actually finish it. (Which is rare) if I'm in the area again I'd probably go back and finish it..

Food is always amazing, however needs more seating space. Every time I have visited it has been so busy you will struggle to get a seat for more than two of you :(

We arrived late sunday night (as we usually do) after an unfortunate pervious visit were everything had turned off. The staff couldn't have been more lovely and accomodating towards us, we all had the cookie dough with ice cream and a couple of shakes, all amazing, everytime, never had a bad eat here! Much better than scoops across the road.

Stopped in for a brew and some ice cream while out shopping. Atmosphere was traditional and nice and had friendly staff. Great choice of ice cream and tasted spot on! Just a bit pricey for what it was but then again considering it's a unique place that has a look and feel that you don't get from other cafe's, it is understandable aswell.

Have a hot drink on us? Order before 1200 on a Saturday but just ensure the staff member knows what they're doing first, slow service resulted in missing this deal...

The new menu they have is so delicious, I had the cookie jar and it was so yummy. It's a lovely treat, but there is so much sugar and is so filling that I make it a meal rather than a snack!

Enjoyed a little treat at lunch time with a huge strawberry and blackberry smoothie. Sprinkles has a massive menu with loads of lovely looking treats available. My husband had a waffle which was massive and a cherry cola coke float, both were delicious.

Had a quick walk round the city centre after shopping in Gunwharf Quays. Nice, clean airy restaurant. Have never been in a Sprinkles before but had heard good reviews so had high hopes & we weren't disappointed. Lots of choice but we opted for a cherry & a ming sundae. Both delicious. Great place for a naughty pudding.

Saw this place whilst shopping. Bright modern premises with a wonderful display of various ice creams and sorbets etc. Couldn't resist it. Young staff. Wry polite and efficient. Nicely greeted. Spent some time reading the menu and making a decision. Finally ordered and served very quickly with the most delicious sundae. A must for a return visit and bring some children.

This is such a fabulous little dessert restaurant. There is so much variety of things on the menu, that you are bound to find something that you fancy eating.

Walked in around 9pm, very few customers. 4 to 5 staff in the restaurant. Ordered a M&Ms; waffle and a crepe. Been waiting for over 15 to 20 mins. Waffle arrived 1st then have to wait for another 5 to 10 mins for the crepe. I think the waiting time is totally unacceptable. Then we asked why it took so long. The waiter said the machine is not working and offering an extra scoop of ice cream by the manager. We turned down the offer. Why dont they come up and tell us at 1st place? Why dont the manager come to us to apologise? Then further insult to come. The blueberry they put with the crepe was totally inedible. If they took over 20 mins to prepare the crepe, the least thing they can do was a better presentation. Totally disappointed. Will not be going at all. I know is a harsh review but they deserved it.

What a splendid way to end a day, early start work, cycle ride, Thai show in Castle fields, M&M;'s Waffle, and Cookie Dough shame about some of the other patrons, but can't blame staff or management for bad manners and rudeness, but it would have been a five stars had it not been for the three idjits on the next table, sad, but the Southampton outlets have been slightly better where clientele concerned, can't knock the gelato though!

Lovely place to take children for a treat, and a wonderful array of ice creams which you could try first. The place was clean as were the toilets. Also a very kind first aider helped after my grandson had a minor accident.

I came to Portsmouth for a lovely visit. I have coeliac disease so I am NOT allowed gluten,I decided to ask in sprinkles if they had any gluten free ice cream and so the tall boy behind the counter had said yes I then asked him to show me the ice cream and he walked away. 5mins later I came bk asked him again and he showed me them. I had 1 scoop of mango sorbet and 1 scoop of watermelon sorbet. The lad then tried to serve me ice cream on a cone in which I said I can't have so I had it in a little pot. Paid £3.50 and ate about 1quater of it wen I had severe stomach cramps and my stomach started to swell up and I felt really ill. My mums friend had to go back n complain and someone else apologised on his behalf and said there was a cross contamination as the lad had used the same ice cream scoops to serve me gluten free. I am extremely disappointed and will never be going back there again.

Been here a few times and it's amazing. So many different flavours of ice cream. Had a waffle each time I've been but they get so sickly and filling so don't eat before!! So affordable and a great treat for kids or adults

The children had been recommend this chain so we indulged them as it was half-term. The portion size of a single scoop was actually larger than expected and the children were impressed with the range of ice creams and toppings. Deciding what to have will be the hardest thing!

I consider myself a connaseur of great ice cream, I'd live on the stuff if I could but.. Anyhow, popped in for a family treat during half-term and struggled to find a table that was clean and nobody seemed in any great hurry to clear away dirty plates, old napkins and cardboard tubs etc. So we did it ourselves - not a great start. There's a great selection of flavours but be careful of the menus as they're all a bit sticky - yuk. The guy behind the counter was friendly enough but when the order came they were served in little tubs and the portions were not good value for money and actually, despite having three scoops (4 doesn't seem to be an option on the sticky menu) they all tasted pretty bland. As it was half term I decided we'd go across the road - not a hundred yards away for seconds. It was very different (see review).

I went to sprinkles this evening with my friend. We both ordered crepes (which I ordered first) 20 minutes later my friends order appears then 10 other customers orders appear yet mine is no where to be seen. I tried to get a waitresses attention and she brushed me off as she was "too busy". Then my friend went to the till to ask where my order was and they said it was the next out. 10 minutes later the waitress comes over and asked what I wanted I advised her I was still waiting for my food. She then comes back and asks what I ordered - bear in mind by this point my friend had finished theirs. So I told her not to bother if it hadn't been made as I just wanted a refund. She offered to make it straight away but I refused and just wanted my money back. During this time 5 people had already given their orders back as they were wrong or cold.

If you're ordering a scoop or two in a pot or a come you'l more than likely not have any time issues at all, but if it's a sundae or pancake (and presumably waffle) you're after it'll take a fair while to reach you.

We visited yesterday for my sons birthday . We had been here once before and enjoyed it . And again it was great. It was busy as it is very popular. The staff were friendly , the service was fast and the food was delicious. My children chose a magical fruit covered waffle. The fruit was fresh and very generous portion size . The restaurant itself was spotless. The tables are cleaned quickly after each customer . There are so many different flavours of ice cream my youngest was spoilt for choice . I would highly recommend .

My husband and I went to Sprinkles as a bit of fun on our anniversary. It is AMAZING. We went to another restaurant for our main meal and here for pudding. Be prepared to eat lots of the best flavoured ice creams and to leave feeling sick. My personal favourites were Ferrero Rocher and Kinder Bueno flavours. All washed down with sauce, wafers but and cream, naturally.

Went here with a mate after having eaten a meal up the road - been here several times in the past - very busy in here as normal which is always a good sign. More seating has been added which is good. Is a nice treat every so often - could do with a loyalty card for regulars in here. Would come back
