I ordered a fish and chips and kebab meat and chips for my family. The chips were delicious! Kebab was very tasty too. Since the new management there’s been a drastic improvement. Staff were very friendly too. Would recommend.

As the shop is under new management the standards have dropped. Our chips were hard and not fresh, seemed to have been heated up after and served. The fish and battered sausage was over cooked. l

Simon the new owner is doing great, food is exceptional. He’s brought some new flavours to the chippy on spring road. Great portions and a really friendly chap.

Update: Since their 'refit and rebrand' I have now gone in and the food seems to have improved drastically. Staff are very polite and friendly and the food was very fresh and tasty. The portions seem to have gotten better but the quality exceeds how it was previously. ---------------------------------------------- The portions are small and the chips are not often cooked properly. The last twice that I've been in, I've had terrible stomach ache afterwards which I do not get from other chip shops in the local area. The food also goes cold quickly. It's not bad if you're in a pinch and need a quick bite, but if you have the time I would suggest maybe looking elsewhere.

Not be going there again...could smell the fish when I entered the door..changed my order to a pie and was like warm and the chips had loots of eyes in them..

Absolutely awful chips. Very greasy and overcooked. Tasted has if oil hadnt been changed for some time. Definately wouldnt recommend. Very disappointing when you are looking forward to something.

Never had a problem with the food here its always been good, friendly staff too, but noticed its gone expensive and the portions are getting smaller.

Not many chip shops I can eat the chips and enjoy. But here they are smashing. Cannot stop picking at them as they are just lovely

Thoroughly enjoyed a large cod, cook fresh whilst I waited, small chips & out of curiosity battered mushrooms. Fish was very good - meaty with good crispy batter, chips freshly cooked & tasty, the mushrooms were delicious moist & flavoursome. A very enjoyable evening meal, note to self “have the small cod next time so you can eat all the lovely chips”
