Had a fabulous meal here with friends after a cold and wet day out on the lake. A small menu but vegetarians are really well catered for, I chose the vegetable lasagne which was delicious. My friends loved their lasagne and burger too; we all agreed the home cooked chips were the nicest we'd had. Really good service by all, especially the young girl who served us initially, but all staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return soon

Had a lovely meal here last night, very organised, social distencing wise. Limited menu but food all home made. Thank you for the welcome. We ate early as I could imagine it could get busy. Not able to book as they have been let down do many times.

This is my second visit and on both occasions the food has been excellent , the meals are really good portions and tasty. Leon the owner is very friendly and deserves a lot of credit for what he is doing here as each time I visit I see improvements.

We called in one day during lockdown, it was the first day that they had opened. Pouring with rain, it didn't put us off from stopping and having a welcome drink The service was good and the beer was excellent. Can't wait to meet the very friendly staff again when we are next in the area.

WOW..!What a fantastic gem of a place. We were looking for a place to stop in the van for the night but decided to get some food first and stumbled upon this beautiful old pub on top of Denbigh Moors. We walked into a warm and lovely old fashioned pub just like they used to be. The real fires burning looked so welcoming. We asked if it would be ok to sleep in the van overnight in the carpark. No problem was the reply. Thay couldn't be more welcoming a real family-run business. The food was fantastic we had Chilli and rice that went down really nicely and all the other foods that were coming out smelt and looked fantastic. Really can't wait to go back again thank you all so much for a fantastic evening.

Had a meal here and was not disappointed. The whole ambience was lovely. I had one of the nicest strawberry sundaes ever. I would recommend it to anyone. And a lovely touch by the owner was as it was my daughters birthday, he gave her chocolate fudge cake free of charge. What a lovely young man. We will be returning very soon.

Feeling Disgusted about this place.Been there for dinner 2 nights ago with Chris and both of us had completely been ignored. No greeting, no attention and not even an eye contact from all the staff working. After like 15mn standing in front of the bar waiting to be able to order some food, Chris asked for a table. Waiter quickly wiped one and told me ironically: "Here you are, a romantic table ready for you".Chris and I sat and waited for another 15mn without being served at all and same behaviour. Chris checked on map for another place recommended by somebody and off we went.I would NOT recommend this place where people are obviously r....t (in my opinion). The star I put was only to be able to write this review as I apparently can say anything good about this place.

Such a warm friendly atmosphere with 3 real fires on the go. Food was so tasty, I had the Welsh Lamb burger stack with onion rings and my partner had the veggie curry with chips, we both thoroughly enjoyed all of it. We were also stopping in the holiday cottage next door and our hosts Sammy and Leon (and even the kids) were fab and the cottage was just perfect. Loved my time here - Many thanks Sammy and Leon for looking after us so well. We shall return!

We stayed at the cottage attached to the pub for three nights and had dinner in the pub two of those nights. I had the gammon one night and the lamb stew the next, both excellent. We were all very happy with our meals and the staff is very friendly and service minded. We travelled with a five year old and a 2 year old and that wasn't a problem. They are open for dinner Friday-Saturday. It might be best to book a table so you don't make the whole drive there and then don't get a table. The views are also stunning!!!

Hermoso entorno, perros bienvenido, chimeneas y buena energía, volveremos.

Cosy cafe. Not many tables and can get quite busy. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice bit of music in the background. Breakfast was nice but would have been good to have the option of a poached egg. Only option was fried. Enjoyed my milkshake and my partner enjoyed his coffee. Fair value for money given the tourist area. No parking directly outside but carparks closeby and road parking a way up the road.

Tried to charge for a squeeze of Costco ketchup on my son’s chips after I spent £15 on drinks and chips. It’s easy to spend my hard earned money ANYWHERE else. Usually really like going out of my way to support local independent business that go the extra mile to attract more tourists to the area…. Won’t be coming back here unfortunately. Shame as the location is great. Perhaps this is a little petty, but I thought it just plain mean.

Nice home cooked food, friendly staff! Visited a few times now, a basis looking place but the quality and choice of good home cooked food with really friendly service keeps us coming back and recommending to family. Great value, easy access and free parking.

This is just the most wonderful place..! Afternoon tea today - their own-blend leaf tea was to die for. Best "cuppa" we've had in a long time. The fixed-price afternoon tea came with our choice of sandwich from the main menu, a choice of home-made cake, and an extremely generous portion of bara brith. scones & Welsh cakes. Do this at least once in your life. The quality is exceptional as is the customer-service - real nice people working here. Vert traditional tea-room setting - about 20 covers inside? Seating also available outside and their are quite extensive trails up & behind the property to walk off some of the carbs ;) If you're visiting the Conwy Valley this needs to be on your list.
