Consistent with their quality on the who, nice food and friendly experienced staff. The prices are reasonable too. Good quality oil used in the cooking of chips. I had chunky fresh cod.

Fish seems to be put in batter that is soggy on the inside. Not very crispy it's like being put into an envelope. It's not light and crispy like batter should be

Best chippy in Coventry , the guys serving are professional & friendly , its spotlessly clean , big fat chips are Delicious. Order a medium , a large would feed a family of 8 (good complaint ) Big size portions all round . Highly recommend

The portions were huge for a good price,the fish was delicious chips chunky and perfectly cooked. Very friendly staff and the shop very clean. Would definitely recommend this chippy.

I visited here after reading the good reviews. I came here on a Saturday lunch time, ordered cod and chips which cost £6.30. I had to wait for 7 minutes for the cod to be freshly cooked. The chips were crispy and fluffy inside, very good. The fish didn't taste or have the texture of cod, and had a very sharp stinky smell to it. Although crispy on the outside, the batter was soft and thick inside. Afterwards I stunk like a stale fish for a long time. After eating I went to a b and m store and I was in the aisle browsing and heard a man in front of me walking off telling his wife it stinks of fish in here. Then at the checkouts a woman behind me telling her daughter it stinks around here, then her young daughter quietly points towards me while they both covered their noses. All in all I would not recommend the fish here as it is not fresh and not what you pay for. The chips are ok. You will stink afterwards, you've been warned.

I don’t go in as often as I would like but whenever I do there is always a friendly welcome and they remember conversations from weeks ago and always have a chat. Always busy in there but you can ring in advance and they will cook fish etc to order. Highly recommended.

Outstanding fish and chips! And the kebabs are the best around! They get all their meats and fish delivered daily so you know it's fresh too. Great value, massive portions, and the staff are so friendly so why go anywhere else?!

If you see it from the outside you're not really sure you want to enter, but, inside you can find the best Kebabs in Coventry! Really really tasty! and nice service too! We need to come back again!

Every time we go to the Spon End chippy we always get great chips. They're always nice and hot and the portions are generous. They have a good range of fish, pies , burgers and chicken. They are have battered mushrooms and onions too. The staff are always helpful and friendly and it's reasonably priced too .

Nicely cooked Cod and chips. Cooked fresh while you wait. Well priced for a lunch snack and not a mountain of chips.

Usually buys chicken kebab from there. best in my place i would say. Busiest takeaway fish bar near to me. I recommend Chicken kebab from there.
