I went there to order fish & chips but unfortunately after getting home there was only chips in the bag 🤷‍♀️

What can I say, the fish is large and tasty and the chips are epic.

It's okay. Used to be top quality but you can tell the quality has gone downhill.

The chips were very nice ,I was looking at the price board the prices looked good and the staff were friendly.

Grilled kabab £7.50 , no taste at all , like eating a hand full of flower , sauces no taste, watered down

Bought a large bag of chip which cost £4, there was no weight to the bag at all when i got back the portion was the about the same as a regular bag, took the bag of chips back in and he says thats what we give, i said that a poor portion for £4 for a large bag, i can understand things are getting expensive and that but not that bad where you cutting back on portions which customers are paying good money for. Other than that the food is good just they need time sort the portions and prices out and how much they are actually giving out there should be a happy medium

Great place to get decent fish and chips. I like large chips, which are always decent 'fish and chips' style (big and golden). The differing kabab meat is also recommended (I'm trying to cut back, but do occasionally treat myself to a freshly cooked/cut mixed kabab). I also like a saveloy, which they serve, and occasionally a jumbo sausage or meat pie. Always friendly service. Quick service, too.

Food wasn't the best donner meat tastes watery and burgers just not the same

I wanted so badly to give this place a bad review. With the types of crowds and odd characters I've seen hanging around the place, but the owners knew it. They'd sniffed me out like hound dogs and had everything set up ready to make sure there was no way I could. I can say it worked. The customer service was impeccable. The guys were so nice, and everything looked sparkly clean. I couldn't find a fault. Look up my other reviews and you'll see I don't say that about anyone! The food was well cooked and tasty. I've had a hard time finding a fish and chip shop that does nice chips and when you ask for a 'large bag' that's what you get! Thanks for a great tea.time! We will be back again!

‼️NOT VEGETARIAN‼️ Went here on 7th April, asked for some specifically vegetarian chips which the assistant said would take some time as they need to be fried separate which is fine, some Asian guy with glasses comes in and demands her to give me the normal chips which he supposedly said are also vegetarian, I sniff a lie, I asked twice if they’re vegetarian however his and the other asian guys mannerism my gut told me they’re lying and gave me non vegetarian chips, clearly cowboy food shop owners who don’t respect their customers requests

We came from Southampton to visit family in Coventry and this was their local chip shop. As a family of food allergy sufferers its always difficult eating out and take away food can be just as difficult. The staff couldn't have been more careful and not only checked ingredients of everything ordered but also asked me to check as well. The food was freshly cooked and cooked to perfection. I can't remember the last time we had such a good meal and so much food, it really was outstanding. The only criticism I have is that you are 120 miles away from us and its a long way to go for a take out meal.

Loving the place, clean and well mannered staff and food is good too! Spicy potatoes are to die for. You need to go and try it :-), fish and chips tasted great, all freshly cooked.

Fantastic food, loads of vegetarian and vegan options. Perfect for when you can't be bothered cooking. I recommend calling ahead and ordering in advance as it can get busy at peak times.

I dont know what went wrong today. But the chips from veggie corner wasnt all that. Rate 5 out of 10

Just placed an order worth £22 for my family... Was told the wait would be 5 minutes but it was 10 and i got home to cold donner meat. Not to mention my saveloy was missed off the order. Very disappointing.

Excellent chips and curry sauce. Fish was also nice and flaky with a fresh taste. The only area for improvement would be the batter for the fish, which was wrapped with tge chips and was soggy and had no crispness left on opening the wrapping. That would be the one area for improvement

Since reopening sadly gone down hill chips not good and found quite a few hair's in the chicken sorry but time to find a new chippy 👎

Have been quite a few times, but find it can be hit and miss from here. Have previously been given the wrong order/items missing and only noticed when I got home. Last week ordered a faggot, peas and chips on a tray for my partner. The faggots were dry, with no gravy, and the mushy peas were canned, not fresh. They had to throw it away and order a takeaway instead as couldn't eat it.

For the second time we used Sandy Lane Chip Shop for the food for a social evening at our club and would not hesitate to continue. The food for over 30 people was ordered a couple of days in advance and was delivered to the club (FOR FREE) exactly at the time arranged. The food was hot and top quality. Excellent service.

As I'm trying more vegan stuff recently I was looking for vegan fastfood. Friend recommended veggie corner and I have to admit that it is very good. I had southern fried chicken and lamb kebab mix in naan with sweet chili sauce and it was simply delicious. Best one I had so far. Will visit soon definitely. Highly recommended!

The chips here are really nice best in Coventry. Drove 16 miles because our local fish and chip shops are rubbish. Really nice donner kebabs. Fresh , tasty kebab meat. Lovely crisp salad. Very reasonably priced. Polite and friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

The only place open for miles and miles around on a Sunday evening, lovely chips, great kebab, standard pukka pies. Lots of little extras and bits on the menu board besides the standard chips, fish, pie and kebab. Prices are good too. Nothing over the odds

Googled we’re open on Sunday night this was the nearest! Terrific chips and the kebab was delicious. Very pleased. The young indian lady serving is beutiful, remember the daughters curry sauce!!

Portions quite small. Fish pakora was awful, wet and soggy. Asked for salt and vinegar on chips.. couldnt taste any. Won't be going back

Veggie food all tastes the same and it very expensive. Wouldnt go again.

The guy should learn to listen, to often they get the order wrong trying to be cleaver on the till, and I think it would be a good idea for them to read the order back, might improve customer satisfaction.

Food is oily and greacy. Sometimes fish pakora taste like chicken. Personally I think it's a bit expensive for what you get. Having said all that food is not horrible, still taste good enough.

Veg corner always makes chips fresh. Trusted meat free, Delic and service with a smile.
