Spices Restaurant & Take Away in Dudley

Went for a meal with ex work colleagues last night, Spices did us proud. They set out 3 blocks of tables and ensured everyone had sufficient space. The food was excellent as normal and the service was fantastic despite there being over 18 of us. I would thoroughly recommend Spices. If you have never been, you don’t know what you’re missing, this is a hidden gem in the centre of Sedgley. Thanks Ali and Sons and the rest of the staff for making the night special. Regards Mick

We’ve eaten at Spices many times. The food is fantastic and as good as you’ll find anywhere. The menu has lots of choice and everything is served hot and really tasty. The service is impeccable. The waiters are friendly, take your coat, and can’t do enough to make you feel welcome. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Went tonight, special offer on, very busy but the service was excellent. Food came out promptly, was delicious. The staff were friendly, welcoming and charming, would highly recommend, lovely friendly atmosphere and well worth a visit xx

Fabulous restaurant. The staff are so friendly and jolly and a great sense of humour. they seem to love being at work. the food is always fresh and hot. faultless. The lamb madras is the perfect heat. naans are kept soft and hot on food warmers on your table (i dont know anywhere else that does this). Weekends are great atmosphere , they play music.

Visited Spices again last night, had a lovely meal one of the best yet and that’s high praise as the previous meals have all been excellent. Have been coming to this restaurant for over 15 yrs and its still the best in the area, food is good plentiful and tasty , the service is excellent and the family who own and ruin it are amazing . Thank you yet again for a wonderful night and meal superb .

Went to spices for the first time in 2024 new year but still the same fantastic food and service. In fact I think the food on this visit was even better. We dropped into spices on a Sunday night, around about 9pm. It was fairly busy but we was seen and seated quite quickly. We order 4 Popadoms with dips. When they arrived there was 5, we was only charged for 4 which was a bonus. Going onto mains we ordered a Balti sauce, Garlic prawn balti, plain naan and a cheese and garlic naan. Food was quick and hot, cannot fault it. We finished our food and then a hot cleaning towel was brought over to allow us to clean and hands and the barman was superb! We will be coming again soon!

Booked table and arrived and greeted well shown to seats. After viewing menu we ordered, I had the Spicy prawn starter and chicken main. Service was good and food arrived promptly, however I do feel two prawns is a little measly for £5. I ordered my main course and I was informed that this dish comes with rice. Whrn the dish arrived food tasted great, however the amount of rice was literally about 2 spoons full? It can in a pot you normally get mint dip in that is the amount of rice. I said to the waiter who was serving my wifes main, i would like some more rixe please... i was more than willing to pay for extra portion, however nothing arrived and finished my main without rice. Like i say foid was good, but please make people aware whrn ordering that if a dish comes with rice it is not a full portion.

This was a mother daughter early dinner date- we chose Spices because it’s always a special night . All the staff treat you as if you are VIP! It’s a constant too - never a hit and miss at this restaurant. It’s always professional , everyone is extremely polite and the food obviously is super delicious. There is lots of choices on the menu but I had Salmon Tikka - my favourite and it’s a work of art on the plate. Very fresh and presented perfectly. My daughter had Chicken Tikka and the best Cheese Nan she’s ever had. Great music, fantastic lighting and just a lovely atmosphere as usual. Cocktails are to die for too! Don’t hesitate book this !

Went to Spices last night, got a fantastic welcome and was shown straight to our table. The staff were excellent and this was only superseded by the fantastic food. What can I say other than excellent food, fantastic friendly staff, and a lovely venue. If you have never visited Spices, you don’t know what your missing, give it a try, you won’t be disappointed,

Sad to say this restaurant has gone down hill. Food was good but service was extremely poor. Considering how quiet it was for a Saturday evening, it took too long for a member of staff to take our food order. Extra drinks were ordered before recieving our food, only for the same waiter to return to ask what drinks we'd ordered again! We were told that cocktails weren't being served that evening yet, a table not far from ours had cocktails being served to them all evening long. When questioning the staff they had no answer, only lie upon lie. A very poor experience overall, we won't be returning.

Visited Spices tonight with my brother and his wife, we all had a fantastic meal, the manager and the staff made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble and they made us all feel extra special. The staff are friendly, helpful and will always go out of their way to make your meal extra special. Food is exceptional I have tried many different dishes of the menu and have never been disappointed. My advice is give them a ring as it is a very busy place which speaks for itself, give them a try I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Looking forward to my next visit.

Visited the other day with friends who hadn't been for a while. I take for granted the high quality at Spices so it is surprising when your friends rave about it as the best they have had in long time. I clearly only want the best all the time! Never had a bad meal here. Always made to feel very welcome. Superb staff. Amazing fresh food. Would not go anywhere else.

Not a food connoisseur or a restaurant expert but me, my wife and my two kids go to spices about once a month.The food tastes gorgeous. The ambience is brilliant and the staff are friendly.We have poppadoms, starters, main courses with rice or Naan and my daughter always has a sweet. We have about six pints of lager and four diet coke's between us and it normally costs about £20 a head. Worth every penny.Every time we go to other Curry House's with friends and family when we get home we always end up saying the same thing. It wasn't as good as Spice.

I wrote a review several weeks ago stating how I absolutely love this restaurant, but couldn’t come back until the food hygiene rating improved.Well it has improved and I did come back, five stars for food hygiene rating, food, staff, ambiance and overall a lovely pleasant experience as usual. I fully accept that the score was down to discrepancy’s in the paperwork rather than cleanliness and can only praise how the staff handled my criticisms.I wouldn’t normally re review but just feel I need to set the record straightKeep it up guys and visit this place if you haven’t already, it will soon become a firm favourite!!

Amazing restaurant, amazing food, amazing service. One of the best Indian restaurants I have been to. It’s not an easy place to spot, I’ve walked past this place many times without realising it was there. It’s upstairs and I did wonder what I was going to to be honest. Once you open the entrance door at the top of the stairs, it feels like you are in a different world. You are welcomed from the moment you walk through the door to the second you leave. Nothing is to much trouble for the waiters, so chatty and helpful. Then the food, absolutely fantastic. I give this place 20/10. I can’t wait to go back. I have many more dishes to try......

Absolutely love this place. Never had a bad meal there and the staff are always polite and courteous. Reasonably priced too. If you aren’t in the mood to go out to eat then I can also recommend their generously portioned take away (they deliver too). If you’re looking for an Indian Meal then look no further.

Tonight the restaurant was extremely busy with a number of birthday parties, plus other occasional dinners, but the staff were excellent, food was served without any delay, they asked us on numerous occasions if we were ok and enjoying the meal, even though they were busy serving. Great welcome when you arrive and wonderful service throughout our meal. Nothing too much trouble. The food is excellent and lots to choose from. The ambience of the restaurant is very good however they do need more lighting at the table when it comes to reading the menu and the toilets do need a big touch up. Would recommendthis place to anyone.

Eat here regular with the wife. Food is amazing and prices are good. Portions could be a little bigger as I have left before and still felt hungry. Cocktails are good and staff are very polite.

We visit Spices probably once a month on average. To someone who has never been before you wonder what awaits you when walking up the stairs but you enter a lovely laid out restaurant with ambient lighting, background music with a nice atmosphere but not that noisy or chaotic whereby you cant hear each other talk.We had poppadoms, starters, mains with naan bread all of which tasted lovely and were well presented. My wife always asks for her dish to be toned down to a milder version and the staff are always happy to oblige. We also had a bottle of wine and two cocktails for £52 in total.Everything from the restaurant itself, the food, price and staff who can’t do enough for you it’s got to be high on your list to visit on a regular basis !!
