Really pleased with the service here. The decor is quaint and rustic-the food was tasty and good value for money.

Would definitely recommend the food was amazing, all presented beautifully, reasonably priced, you will not be disappointed. First time eating here won't be the last.

My daughter chose to go here for her birthday after having a previous good experience here. The food is always great, the staff always friendly and prices reasonable. Will definitely be going back.

Was shown to a table by a lady who seemed very annoyed that we walked in and hadn't booked. Not very welcoming at all. They were not busy (it was a Wednesday evening) but after we sat down they walked away without offering us drinks and after 15 minutes they had still not came back to offer drinks or take our order despite walking passed the table to speak to other diners. We left and do not intend to return

Cafe Casita was a great experience, it is set in an old pub but is very well decorated and a nice place to sit. The food was great and in line with other Italian restaurants I’ve been to. The price was on the higher end but all 4 of us enjoyed the different dishes we ordered. We will be visiting again!

4 of us went here for a birthday meal. Neither of us have ever been but heard good things about it. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was good for a Saturday evening, a lot of families and friends having a meal. The service was quick and the food was lovely. We shared some ciabatta and bruschetta for starters. These were nice but there was so much garlic on the bruschetta. I personally thought it was an overload but some may think differently. The mains we had there pasta dishes and a chicken main. We all thought these were lovely, no complaints with the mains. We then all had a dessert which was INCREDIBLE!! The profiteroles were the best :) I want to say there were homemade they were they good, but not too sure. Recommend going here for a decent Italian meal which was reasonably priced and delicious. We did have a bottle of wine and two pints with the meal plus 3 coffees, so we did go overboard haha. The place itself was beautifully decorated with old fashioned features. I will be going back here again and trying different dishes.

Overpriced menu. Restaurant hasn't had a makeover in years. Charging Birmingham restaurant prices but food is low quality. Place was buzzing unsure why people are going to this overpriced place. Awful dated decor.

Pizza needed cutting with knife and fork, a bit sloppy. Very cold in there and service a bit slow, it was busy and didn't seem enough staff.

I went with a friend on Friday night and really enjoyed the time here. The food was lovely as was the service. I will definitely go again.

Service was lovely and decor was spot on, found the building cold but it was Feb.. food was hot and as described, meatballs tasted very fatty in my opinion, but everything else was lovely.

Sadly, having heard how good this place was we , a group of four, decided the place was too expensive for the service we received. I appreciate when they are cooking we have to wait, but to put our food on the table when it is nearly cold? I am sorry, but our four meals were under cooked? That is not what I would expect from a place so expensive. To be fair the food once re heated was good, nothing special, but good. The premises are in an old pub, sadly, I felt it was a bit dark and dingy, tables were quite cramped and in truth it all needs freshening up! Sadly, we don't think we will go back even though the food was as I said above, nothing special but good!

We had a lovely evening meal and were really pleased with our overall experience. The staff were very attentive, the food was served in very good time and tasted delicious. There was a very extensive drinks list, lots of vegetarian options, and the atmosphere was very good. We would certainly recommend Cafe Casita to others.

Today me and my friend went to the restaurant as our day out expecting to go to a proper 'italian' restaurant, however we found the opposite to be honest. As the main meal I ordered a steak (fillet ross) for THIRTY POUNDS. When I received the steak after the mediocre starter and was genuinely annoyed. The olives where awful by the way. The actual steak was probably the worst I've ever eaten. It was in the shape of a square which is suspicious considering everything is fresh. The actual taste of it was awful and you could say it was similar to paper. It was served with potatoes that were definitely frozen and some vegetables. Overall the price was an abomination and the food was absolutely awful. I will never be coming back and I couldn't recommend it less.

I feel so lucky that Cafe Casita is a 5 minute walk from where I live, this is the second time I have visited this place with my wife since moving to the area and it is amazing. I believe it is a family owned Italian restaurant with a rustic Italian theme inside. You need to book as it is always busy, and rightly so, the food is absolutely amazing, tasty and is presented beautifully. Listen to the mature lady if she suggests a dish as my wife had the scallops that she suggested and I was left wishing I had the same. The outside of the restaurant could do with a slight uplift but when inside that really doesn't matter.

Our evening at Сasita was ruined. All the dishes were overly salty, and the drinks were terrible. When we asked to replace a salty dish, they brought us the same one without even trying to fix the issue. Moreover, we asked to remove the bacon from one dish, but the bacon was still there. Overall, our experience was extremely negative. We do not recommend this restaurant.

Extensive menu, well prepared food and very tasty. Pity that you get the feeling they are penny pinching, no bread with the soup and very small glasses of tap water for instance. And what is it with the red cabbage which they have been serving with the mains for years and years. Also the wine prices are staggering for what is pretty ordinary wine.

Finally I’ve found a tasty Italian, portion is a good size, everything is nice and hot. Will definitely be ordering again! Thank you for a lovely meal

Great but quite expensive compared to other restaurants

I ordered the Pollo Alla Crema and it was absolutely delicious. It was a very decent sized portion and the food arrived hot and on time.

Food was really nice, but service was slow. Staff seemed friendly.

Came in here for a midweek meal and was not disappointed. Food was well presented and cooked just right; I had the quattro formagio pizza which was delicious, and my friend had the spaghetti carbonara which she assured me was delicious: all the sides (salad, olives, bread) were tasty. The service was polite and genuinely friendly. The only fly in the ointment, so to speak, was the charge of £1.20 to have a small jug of milk with my coffee. I thought that extra charge was totally unnecessary and tbh I don't think I've ever been charged to have milk with my coffee in any restaurant! Also, their card machine was not working and I had to pop out to an atm to get cash.

Added an extra spag bol that I forgot. Very helpful. Delicious food too!

We have just dined here, our second chance after our first visit. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow again and staff were very forgetful with simple requests. After giving them the benefit of the doubt, we sat with empty plates for 10-15 minutes and asked three different people for the card machine. After another 15 minutes, the third person got very defensive and told us the card machine was down. The whole approach was very abrupt and no one seemed like they wanted to help. After spending £47 and no sincere apology or offerings, they have now lost customers and we will not be recommending in the future. I am all about second chances and understand when restaurants are busy, but this has been an excuse both times. I have been a waitress for many years but would never ignore or treat my customers this way. A shame as the food is lovely.

Food is 10/10. Chicken Apollo, and the filo pasty wrapped mushroom starter would recommend also the rosemary and salt bread was still warm and came with a beautiful fresh dip

I ordered for collection, it was a right faf, if the restaurant don't accept your order within 3 minutes your order gets cancelled and you are refunded. I did this twice and then had to phone the restaurant where the women said they were not that busy and she would stand by the iPad so she could accept my order. Once she did this I placed my order. I think this is a stupid way of doing online orders. We ordered 2 pizzas and tiramisu. Don't get the pizzas! It is like chewing cardboard I was very disappointed as heard great things about this restaurant. However tirimisu was beautiful🤩 went back for pasta this time and have to be honest it was beautiful. Such a shame the pizzas let this restaurant down :( if you go defo get the pasta not the pizza!

Process was good. Food delicious, but, I ordered vergetarian ravioli and received beef lasagne. Everything else was as ordered. Not good if you're vegetarian (I am not).

Nice meal just tend to put too much sauce on the plate so always ask for it to come separately. They ran out of Tiramusu which is one dish you expect an Italian restaurant to always have. Also uble to do a pina coloda due to lack of ingredients too.

Lovely food a usual never disapoints

After waiting 15 minutes to be seated and left standing like lost sheep at the front waiting at a bus stop, four of us had to wait a further 25 minutes to be offered a drink! Not a very Impressive introduction to a quaint and homely restaurant. What a shame the quallity of food, service and welcome did not meet any acceptable standards. As an italian restaurant, it really let the their Italian flag down with young staff that were overran like headless chickens on admittedly a busy Friday night - well the owner should have helped out. The owner's frosty nature was more aligned to a hard-nosed, unpleasant, bitter bull. The food was absolutely tasteless compared to a quality Italian restaurant. No thought, passion or care had been given to any of the sauces to our dishes - very un-Italian. My Linguini Di Mare tasted as if it had come out of a tin and would have tasted better if it had come from 'Iceland'. My wife's risotto was full of starch and collapsed to an overdrowned pool of bedded rice that resembled a dumplin in a soup: the lamb was overcooked (not chargrilled) and as tender as concrete. As for the Halibut it contained moist flakes at one end while dried out at the other with a hazelnut white sauce that reminded of a paste when tiling your bathroom. At least the poor standards were consistently maintained with the dessert - the waffle probably came from a packet with an ill-proportioned drizzle of a caramelised tasteless sauce. Then to add to our final pleasure, when eventually receiving our bill, it was decided to add VAT to the bill (as opposed to what was listed on the menu) - didn't realise we were in the USA! Even then calculations for the bill were inaccurate. If you want bad italian food, poor value and shameful service, then visit this restaurant. The owner should visit the Fiume Italian bar and restaurant in Wolverhampton and learn what proper Italian food, hospitality and service should look like!

First time visiting, we were greeted by friendly staff who were very attentive but not in an uncomfortable way. Food was delicious and the portions were very generous. Will definitely be going back.

All food luke warm. Veal, meatballs and prawns very good but focaccia was a pizza base and the pizza like cardboard. Not good.

Great - they made a horrific mistake with our meal which I won't go into detail, but left me feeling like giving a one star. On the other hand, they swiftly corrected this without a fuss. Great.

This place is adorable, I can’t believe I haven’t been before. It feels like stepping back 20 years, down an old cobbled alleyway in Italy, it doesn’t feel like Gornal! Slight mix up with our booking, although we had confirmation via email and the booking app, the staff assured us we hadn’t, even after showing them the email etc, so it was a disappointing start and then no one came to serve us for 20 mins. HOWEVER, the service got a lot better. All staff were helpful but we did have to call people over, I think where we sat, couldn’t be seen by staff. Every dish was clearly made fresh and there was no rush between courses. Full of flavour and nicely presented. I love the authenticity, it just lacked the going out feel for a Saturday night. This may have been due to our booking being overlooked, so tucked into a last space. I would go back, as I think it deserves another chance, I just don’t think we got you all in your glory! It’s clearly a well loved restaurant.

Spare of the moment thing..... Me and the Mrs where stuck for a place to go, friday night and it was about 8pm when we finally decided to eat out someplace!! but where?? we had called a few places and they couldn't fit us in due to time kitchen was closing! Called Cafe Casita and they had no problem seating us for an evening of delight. ill begin with the service, felt like part of the family from the moment we stepped through the door, the people make you feel like your eating in their own dining room, service was quick food came out fresh and hot we had starters the Mrs had Salmone Affumicato amazing!! I hade Muscles in a garlic butter sauce also out of this world, for mains i had the sirloin steak with the Barolo wine & bacon sauce, she had Spaghetti Polpette we were both gob smacked on how amazing this food was. For pudding i had Connoli and she had Tiramisu and one of the best sicillian wines i have ever had the pleasure of drinking. to say the least i will be back as often as i can. 5* review isnt nearly enough for our experience here. Ordered two pizza, pasta and garlic bread for takeout, the pizza was horrible, soggy cold in the centre not nice for the price I paid. The garlic bread had no cheese, the pasta was very strangle it was like rice the taste was ok Was looking forward to an Italian pizza, best off going to Pizza Hut Paid £40 in total

First time eating here after saying for several years that we should try. How dissapointed I am that it took me this long! The menu had not one thing that me and my partner would not want to try, the staff were attentive and very polite and the food was unreal. Very authentic and a gem on our doorstep.

I have been here many times, however my last visit was not so good ,the waitress was very charming polite and worked extremely hard nothing was to much The food was not ,we ordered bread and olives the bread was burnt on out side frozen on inside ,the garlic bread was just warm didn't have any cheese on ,my food was hot on out side and slightly warm in middle, that tells me the food is not fresh as I expected it to be ,not sure if its different chef if this was my first visit I wouldn't be going again.
