I enjoyed having some nice food here with a big group of friends. The atmosphere was brilliant. There was a good amount of food here which offered a lot of choice. Staff were just as great, friendly and very helpful. They serve a lot of foods which is great. The toilets are spacious, nice and clean. Would definitely eat here again a definitely recommend this place for a nice night out.

Awesome Indian restaurant. Place is vibrant, staff is very friendly, food is very tasty. Chicken biryani, mutton biryani, chicken chukka, mutton chukka, and some others are my favourites. A must visit place if you want to have a tasty meal. I have ordered few times and taste is the always good.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Royal Spiceland, and it was a truly fantastic Indian dining spot. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a stellar Indian dining experience. The menu offered a superb Indian eatery selection with a variety of dishes that showcased the outstanding Indian cuisine. We decided to go for the buffet, and I must say, it was an amazing Indian buffet with an excellent Indian buffet spread. Each dish was flavorful and fresh, leaving us thoroughly impressed. Very disappointed, less variety only 3 starters, food was not good, there was no taste to the food, there was no desserts and very expensive. Definitely not worth it, don’t recommend going to this place. Money is not worth the food.

Food was stone cold when arrived food quality was aweful won’t order again

Food was near cold, chicken was dry and meat was very fatty with cartlidge still attached. Sauces cheap and runny, onion salad was dumped in a bag and sweaty. Bhuna,jalfrazi tasted the same. Korma also runny with dry chicken and thd list goes on. Not expecting perfect food every time however this was well below standard for £60. NOT HAPPY.

I organised a meal for 50 people here which was a success. My point of contact was Jeswin and we had brilliant communication. We were able to have the buffet on a weeknight, the food was a real people pleaser. As the food caters for all it is understandable that if you like spicy you might be best to order off the menu. Allergies and intolerances were handled professionally. The back room with the buffet is a lovely space and we were able to use their microphone. Food and service was brilliant and we will be returning. The buffet is great value for money. Soft drinks are a bit pricey but that offset by the face you can take your own alcohol. The entrance could do with a bit of TLC but once you’re into the restaurant it’s fine and the fish in the indoor pond is a real highlight for the children.

Spiceland is simply the best Indian place around. Really delicious food, and the staff are always super pleasant and helpful.

Went on a recommendation from a neighbour. Not much to look at from the outside however, walk through the door and you will discover a spice lovers paradise. Everything was fresh, hot, well presented for a buffet, swiftly served our drinks and left to help ourselves to as much as we liked, when we liked. A true gem of India.

We had a large gathering tonight 3/4/24 - the food was replenished quickly, catered for every age and taste. The staff and owners were really friendly. We look forward to coming back and seeing the family and eating here. The buhna on the bone and lamb jalfrezi were spot on!

If you're Indian you get special treatment if you complaint enough, fresh nan bread and other items brought straight to your table if you Indian . The rest of us had to eat the dry onion baji snd nan breads that kids were putting their hands all over, not happy and wont be eating here again. Too noisy with kids running around making lots of noise..

We ordered on recommendation. Order placed about 1730 on a Saturday night; early & not anticipating it to be longer than the quoted delivery time. We had to call to ask where it was & then received a further 3 calls back, 2 after the food arrived…..cold! We had to microwave it to make it palatable. The hot food next to cold raita made it curdle. The food was undeniably tasty. Just disappointing service.

Lovely food. Chicken chukka was amazing. Poppadoms stayed crispy, naans stayed hot. Slight disappointment that one item from order was unavailable but substitute was ok.

Food was okay but wasn’t replenished as often as needed - some dishes were nice and others over seasoned or cold. The atmosphere was drab and boring, we were put in the first room and sat on a longer table to then be pushed closer to another couple (who were lovely, thank goodness!) so it felt a awkward and not at all ‘Date Night’ material. Lots of people have said it has been lovely and enjoyable before, including my partner and his family, and so it’s a shame that my first experience was this bad.

I really wanted to spend quality time with my family and have delicious food, so I visited the restaurant and it was worth a try, the food was amazing and the ambience was really good. The staff were also very hospitable.

Not very impressed, I first didn't get a good impression because there is such a big restaurant with not a lot of people eating. Just my family and another family. I overlooked it and started getting food to find a dead creature in the broccoli and parts of the legs in it too...... not knowing I even gave that to my one year old. I felt sick and said to my husband I wanted to leave. When we asked for a refund they only wanted to refund us £2. After complaining they refunded £9 Food is not children friendly either to sugary or salty. First time coming here and would not come here again.

We had an amazing time at this restaurant! The kids were mesmerized by the small aquarium inside and the beautiful garden outside. The buffet dinner offered a wide variety of delicious Indian dishes, and my daughter couldn't get enough of the different starters like chilly chicken, crispy prawns, pattato pakoda, chilly Gobi, and more. The dessert selection was also impressive. Overall, this restaurant offers great value for money and is definitely a must-visit spot in the area. Highly recommended!

Ordered at 6.15pm and it showed up 8.45pm, cold and the curry had separated from where it had been sat for so long. I contacted the restaurant 3 times, 7.30pm and was told they were very busy and it would be 10 minutes, 8pm and told it had been delivered (it had not) and they would contact the driver, 8.30pm told he has spoken to the driver and he had said he was right outside the house about 15 minutes prior delivering “as we speak” sure the food would be nice but didn’t get the option to eat i

ordered Special Fried Rice, received Egg Fried Rice. Didn't receive Egg Bonda. portions are so small.

Initially we were disappointed. Buffet was at the table with a selection of self selected dishes. The food was dry, but, with the main course we were pleasantly surprised. We decided that on future visits we would order both courses together, thereby getting the sauces we both liked. The staff were wonderful very attentive and pleased to help. Thank you for a lovely meal and your excellent service. I look forward to return visits.

Chips needed heating up, but fair enough as was a 20 min drive, the food was very good, will be ordering again from here🙂

Best Place to have the Real Taste of Indian Foods...,

I recently dined to this Indian restaurant. The ambience was quiet and neat . Their service was very polite , friendly and comfortable. The food was very delicious with authentic flavours . My most favourite dishes were Chilli chicken, mutton chukka , chicken butter masala, Briyani , chettinad chicken and so on .. I will strongly recommend this restaurant to get best food with pleasant atmosphere.

The best compliment I can give is that some dishes tasted authentic. I've spent 6 months in South India, and this is the closest to the day to day food I ate there from a takeaway. Will be ordering again!

Oh goodness it’s a total disaster…!We ordered some food for take away and their quality was horrible. The food was very hot which they packed it in a thin plastic containers. So they have no sense/ care to their customers, just making maximum money with very low cost. They have given some salads in a simple plastic bags( which we use for dust bin ) & I’m adding the pictures below.There are a lot of restaurants like this in Cambridge, with poor quality and no basic guidelines which they follow.

Excellent all you can eat buffet with amazing tasting food. Staff are good at keeping the pors topped up with food and the selection is very vast. Place could do with a bit more cheer especially on a quieter night, but for the price no complaints

Got there waited at the door to be served for ages, 1 guy working the whole place. Even though it was empty still took ages for him to serve us. Got our food sat down took one fork full every single item of food was literally not even warm! Told the guy and he looked at us as if to say I know. We didn’t even eat we had to get up and leave! That food is a health hazard! First and last visit! Such a let down as we travelled especially to go there! I know not to expect much from buffet places but least the others we’ve been to were clean and the food actually hot!. Place was full of dirty plates on several tables too!

1st time was ok then I recently came here hardly anything & the taste of food was absolutely appaling was half empty dishes on display basically! Desert absolutely terrible with stale ice-cream. After when I was about to leave the waiter then asks would you like us to fill up on what's missing! Like really...OK bye!

Good selection on choice of foods, friendly staff. Nice to see the fish swimming as you cross over a little bridge to the seating area, must remember to take own alcohol all glasses provided and they do have soft drinks if not!

This place is a bit far from Peterborough and there is no such public transport. We went there for a birthday party. The atmosphere was simple but eye catching. The food was good and the decoration was brilliant 👍.

I have been to Royal spiceland for a friends get-together for the first time, Since then my taste buds are dragging me there. Amazing food, ample space. Good for families with small children. There is plenty of space for them to run around. Free parking is another attractive amenity. They provide a wide variety of south and north indian foods. I choose the buffet dinner. The Manager of the store Jeswin and all his staffs were so proffessional and friendly. They were good in explaining and suggesting the best foods. I would suggest this place for anyone who is looking for a party from date nights to any kind of party events.

My food is now over an hour late. The restaurant kept lying to me saying that it was on its way and i still don’t have it. I won’t be ordering from this restaurant again. Worst service ever

Was given the complete wrong dish, which also tasted very poor. Tried to raise this with just eat but didn’t get anywhere. Spent a lot of money for food which wasn’t correct.

On arrival the smell of drains and the filled black bin liners in the car park is enough to put people off. Food was lukewarm, some looked like it had sat there a while. Drinks were warm and flat. Would be nice to have hand sanitiser available near the buffet. Toilets dirty, 3 soap dispensers in the ladies- none had soap! Very quiet for a Friday evening with no atmosphere. Could do with refurbishment & wasn’t worth the money spent. Won’t be returning.

The Royal Spiceland is Indian cuisine & definitly one of the best option if you're living around Cambridge area. My initial visit was with friends and we had buffet option I was amazed by the quality of the food. The food was fresh & delicious with right amount of spices in traditional Indian style. The staff is very friendly and the service is exceptional. I think it was absolutely worth the money and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Been there with more than a cricket team, the staff were easy on accommodating a big group with the buffet being plentiful. Great space available for events as well. The owner was kind enough to express service for any dishes we wanted other than the ones available in the buffet. Great place to go with family.

Food was excellent. Live in Leiden close to The Hague. Restaurants in that area are not even close in quality. The should take a Course in this restaurant.

Decent place. I am told it was in the old A1 highway before it was diverted. Plenty of seating and car park. Buffet in the evening as well. I could always expect more but for what was offered, I am not complaining.

Quality food and excellent variety. Great atmosphere. If you normally go for overpriced curry in Cambridge this is closer, just as good if not better and much fairer price. All you can eat what's not to like.

Can’t really describe how bad it was last night. There was hardly any food left and it was ice cold. Absolute waste of time and money Few of the staff tried to make up but it was too late. Promise you guys that never ever visit again. Strongly won’t recommend.

Very pretty looking restaurant, food was nice. However tge toilet was so bad we had to leave...it was horrific and there was poop everywhere a over the place. They offered us half price but then when it come to pay it wasn't half price it was like 2 quid off.. my partner had to argue to receive discount, tbh after we hav seen the state of the loo so I doub very much we will ever be going back there anyway... I do hope the plumber has been now and the loo is clean....
