Spice Routes in Glasgow City

Oh how I miss Spice Routes. This Indian food is SUPERIOR. I’m from America but I lived in Glasgow for 3 years and let me tell you… I ordered spice routes WEEKLY. Cannot go wrong with the Vindaloo or Tikka Masala. I think of this food ALL the time. Will definitely be my first food stop when I get to visit Glasgow again ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This place isn't called spice routes anymore it's called Bajwa's special, and food was fresh and tasty.

Spiced routes always get what you ask for and staff are friendly and food is good.

Spend £31 and the food is cold and soaked in spices never order from here ever again waste of mon

I have honestly fell in love with this place, there spicy chicken wrap or hoagie with chasni sauce is to die for and is very good prices considering the foods good 😍😍 I have recommended this to everyone I know, also a great service & the staff are lovely☺️

Will never be going back here again! I’ve been a very loyal customer for a good few years and also told people about this place. So I ordered food and my delivery didn’t come. When I called to say it hadn’t arrived, I was told it wasn’t their problem and the abuse this guy was giving me, well, horrible is an understatement, I won’t be back and I will be telling everyone I know to boycott this place. Pure cheek you’ve lost a customer and more after that drama . Only had to send my order.

10/10 quality food and the owner is a very humble and nice person, would highly recommend!

Changed hands not long after I moved into the area and was really good for a whilst, last 2 meals including tonight were awful, the Chasni was so sweet it was horrible, tasted of literally sugar, the rice in the plastic bag it came in was awful, garlic nan was undercooked with lots of undercooked garlic butter on it and the chips and cheese had hardly any cheese on it. Ended up in a bin and ended up going to McDonald's which awful as it is, was actually okay in comparison. Waste of £15. Never again. It would of got a 1 rating if they guy that owns it wasn't so pleasant and friendly. But the food was terrible tonight, so disappointed and spent a lot of money on it.

Just tried this takeaway first time fantastic food, great kebab with spices and pepper's the bezt kebab I've tasted in years samosas were top notch too would highly recommend can't wait to try the rest of their menu.

Pizza tasted fresh and tasty and delivery was pretty quick and friendly. One of the better pizzas I've had lately for sure 👌🏼

Best place to order from the pizza is fresh and the topping is perfect and they make busy sometimes but they make it up to u when the delivery comes

This place is under new ownership,which I was pleased about,I tried the donner meat,and it's not like anything you have tasted,there are peppers and various other spicy items minced through it,it really is very tasty,had a chicken pakora and the chicken was very soft and tasty,there are a selection of dips that you can get for the pakora,the vegetable and mushroom pakoras are worth waiting for,now here is where it gets better,I counted 14 pieces of chicken in my curry,it was a very healthy portion,plenty left for next day easy,also got a Peshawary nan,that was amazing,the people who have taken over this shop are going in the right direction,the food is absolutely amazing,but do you know what,dont take my word for it,do yourself a favour go and try it,you wont be disappointed,great staff great food sit in take away you decide,all in all,I thoroughly recommend it.look out for the pizza,it will be jam packed with whatever topping you want,its one of the best pizzas I have tasted in a long time,I found it hard to finish a small pizza,enough for two sharing to be fare,I just hope these guys dont leave,i think the competition need to start to worry,this take away could be the main one.

Always get our home deliveries from here. Pizzas are the best iv had and always packed with topping. Really friendly and polite drivers. Went down tonight to pick up a pizza and the guy gave me a discount as he was running slightly late, very kind of him. It was also the tastiest, freshest pizza iv ever had.

Japouri chicken curry 10/10 under new management also

Order three times - chicken pakora , munch box , pizza , chips etc. Perfect every time. A bit spicy . But that happens. Will order again and totally recommend. Bad reviews - old and previous owners I think Mohammed Garnethilll Stores

Food was clearly reheated and was half an hour late the chips were stinking and there wis no way you deep fried them the day tasted like they had sat out for two week, spicy chicken wrap wis decent but probably still microwaved buy a grill and cook yer food fs

Ordered two toffee crisp milkshakes and av got to say best av tried yet.

Was impressed somewhere still delivered so late but the food was a absolutely inedible. I don’t know what kind of sauce came with the pakora but i have never seen brown pakora sauce in my life it smelled as bad as it tasted & the pakora actually had to be spat out it was that disgusting. Full meal went straight in the bin

Tasteless food. Was cold when I received it. Got the food 45minutes late! Called the restaurant multiple times, and one time they just hung up on me while speaking. Horrible service.

Ordered a munchie box came cold at first as it was a busy night but I called and the owner was more than happy to help and bring a new fresh box with no extra charge food is nice would recommend

This shouldn’t be called biriyani. It’s mash rice mixed with curry. Horrible looking, horrible taste. Price is far too far for a junk like this. I’ve took a picture of this food and I’m more then happy to post it for anyone to tell me if this looks like biriyani.

Food was ready on time and piping hot. Ordered a lamb briyani with chicken tikka which I shared w my friend. So the quantity was good. Food tasted authentic as well. Will definitely order from them again.

Waited 2 hours for my order as the delivery time changed twice and it still came later than the last time they gave. When it finally came the pizza and chips were cold and the kebab was disgusting

Food was okay nothing to rave about. Was around 45 minutes late which in the restaurants defence was due to trnsmt festival making a very busy night. But had I had known the food would be so late rather than an unrealistic time for the restaurants facility I would not have ordered. The menu stated that the munchie box I ordered would come with 4 sauces...I didn’t get any

Order from here all time food started off lovely but last week ordered a 10" pizza and a 7" came then last night ordered pizza again and was soooo thin dry and no toppings also got a chicken breast and dry and cremated actually feel for the chicken who gave up its life for it only decent thing was the curry sauce that arrived

I ordered delivery at 11:38pm (GMT) requesting delivery for 1am on 15th July. I confirmed my arrival at my flat at 12:51am. I got a call back from this takeaway at 1:07am telling me that the driver had already been to my flat, called my mobile (which apparently is wrong on my JUST Eat app). A TOTAL LIE since I double checked it. Biggest LIERS. Please do not order from takeaway who cannot accept responsibility for not delivering.

Shocking, it's saying it's been delivered but it's over 2 hours late, the delivery driver was nice, she was ment to finish at 1am but still workin at 3am, the shop should have stopped taking orders, shockin for this time to bring someone cold food

food was disgusting went straight in the bin. delivery was half an hour late, the pizza was like rubber and I have no idea where you get the kebab meat but I would not even feed that to a dog. worst take away I have ever had.

Food is great my only problem was the fact I ordered a King BBQ Chicken kebab costing around £8 and it only had 5-6 pieces of chicken a few tiny bits of onions and peppers.

Been ordering from here almost 3 years now, their pizzas are amazing and the stuff are really friendly too

The food arrived around 1 hr15mins after ordering, (20mins after time stated) the pizza was burnt, cold, like a frisbee none body in the house would touch it, chips weren’t nice. Pakora and kebab were ok. Called shop and in the nicest possible way told them kids weren’t eating pizza it was far too burnt they were ok and offered to send another. We thanked them. Another pizza arrived was better than the first was warm this time at least and not as burnt. So everything was fine went to bed then at around 1 am the shop started ringing our mobile woke us up woke the baby up. And the man was moaning about us wasting food and ranting on the phone to my partner saying he should contact police we thought he had the wrong number as we had our order hours ago and he had woke us all up phoning early hours in the morning. At first my partner was saying nicely u must have wrong number we ordered food hours ago and explaining the pizza was burnt and u sent another but the man was ranting something about police and waste of food. Eventually my partner started to get annoyed with the guy as would anyone !I was honestly shocked lol never had. A shop call early hours of the morning over nothing there had been no issues even when we called to say pizza was burnt we were nice shop seemed fine sent another delivery guy was nice and we thanked him . Then the crazy 1 am phone call shouting about getting the police! Craziest thing I’ve ever heard from a shop obviously will never ever order again!

Amazing food, the pizza was perfectly cook as always and the curry was delicious as always, I would recommend it.

Been using Spice Routes for about 3 years, and they’ve always been spot on. Fresh tasty food, always delivered on time. Chicken Tikka Chasni is delicious, perfect balance of tangy and creamy, the best we’ve found. The hoagies are always packed and very tasty. Never had a bad experience.

My go-to Indian delivery. Great tikka masala and tarka daal. Only negative is the grumpy delivery driver.

Smelled strange. Tasted stranger. Freezing cold. Very late order so didn't expect the world but I'm now concerned about the aftermath.

To be honest I ordered from here late at night because I really wanted to have some juice in, I was babysitting so couldn't just nip to the 24hr shop. I built up my basket with a milkshake (I love milkshakes), some cookie dough (to share with my partner) and some fudge cake (for my little cousin as a treat in the next day). First of all I paid like 80p for drinks but the Irn Bru said 39p on it. The milkshake just tasted like milk, it was watery and felt like it had been left out on a worktop for a while and made me hit the bowk. The cookie dough was burnt and crunchy, so it went in the bin. I was sceptical giving my wee cousin the fudge cake but she seemed to like it although I took a bite and it was really dry. It is probably my mistake for ordering late at night.

Granted the order was made early morning 1.30/2am or so. Delivery driver went to an address in toll cross, didn't read the delivery note properly which lead to the delivery being late, as a result the food was look warm and not great, chips were also undercooked and soggy... no worth the cash we spent sorry!

Chicken wings wer litrally disgusting just moosh and chicken was so dry i couldnt eat more than one hoggie was edible atleast strongly recomend the service but maybe try something else as those to option were not nice atall

Awesome meal. Mushroom pakora was tasty, great portion size. Huge naan. Great curry.

Food came quickly however, salad on the kebab looked rather tired and sorry for itself and didn't taste much better. Also some bits of the kebab were dry as though it had been sitting around for a while.

The food never arrived. I waited up until 3.30 in the morning as the restaurant had shut by the time it was running late. Having finished work at 1.00 and having no food in I thought as they were local it wouldn’t take forever. Instead it didn’t arrive and today they claim they tried but no one answered. As I was up all night, this isn’t true and instead of refunding the restaurant is trying to say they tried and keep twenty quid for providing nothing. I wouldn’t bother with this restaurant especially if it’s late...if you do, good luck trying to fix any problems!

I ordered a pizza meal deal from you tonight, it has made me so unwell. I didnt eat very much of it because it didnt taste quite right, really disapointed as i've ordered from you before and enjoyed it.

everything piping hot on delivery ordered wide selection of food everything was perfect piping hot on delivery desi curry’s are amazon better than I have tried in any restaurant or takeaway and tandoori chapati is perfect tried there batters burger for first time and was lovely it didn’t have all the gunk in it chip shops put in kebabs where nice too and pizza and everyone loved there food. yogurt lassi is a must have to drink with a spicy curry!

Surprised at how fast it came on a Friday! Chicken pakora was probably the best I’ve tasted in a long time and the chilli masala curry was great too! We never stick to the one takeaway as we haven’t found one nice enough but think we might have now! Thanks :)

Cookie dough was abysmal and inedible so I called for a replacement or a refund and the service was an absolute joke! Would not recommend.
