Spice of India in Bournemouth

Visitamos anoche (7 de nosotros).Anteriormente hemos tenido dos veces una comida para llevar que en ambas ocasiones quedó muy satisfecho con todo.Anoche comimos en el restaurante por primera vez y tengo que decir lo encantadora que fue toda la experiencia.Bellamente decorado y de muy buen gusto.El personal era muy agradable y muy educado y la comida, como siempre, era deliciosa.La forma en que se habían establecido las cosas para la seguridad de los clientes durante estos "tiempos extraños" por los que estamos pasando fue excelente.Pantallas de metacrilato en su lugar para que estuviera bien lejos de la mesa de al lado y hubiera espacio más que suficiente para otros comensales.No estoy seguro del comentario anterior sobre "abarrotado de gente", ya que pensamos que las mesas estaban muy bien espaciadas.Me alegro mucho de que este restaurante esté ahora tan cerca de casa.La mayoría de las veces visitamos otro "restaurante indio bastante famoso" en Bournemouth, pero este será al que nos dirigiremos ahora.

Visité el jueves por la noche, wow, el curry fue el mejor que he probado en una de las ofertas especiales de la casa, al igual que mi pareja, increíblemente buena comida y un personal amable y encantador: las mesas estaban protegidas, por lo que el distanciamiento social también se adhirió y, en general, estaba muy limpio. Definitivamente lo recomendaría volveremos pronto

Personal amable muy eficiente, visitó el lunes 24 de agosto para comer - las mesas están protegidas y, a pesar de que Brian be se quejó de distanciamiento social, etc., el distanciamiento fue adecuado y no es obligatorio que el personal use máscaras por ley. Muy buenos tamaños de porciones también y cajas de cartón para llevar para que las llene usted mismo con las sobras.La comida llegó rápidamente y la patia de pollo (suave según lo solicitado) fue excelente. Los bahjis de cebolla son enormes pero bastante suaves y harinosos, ¡el personal estuvo de acuerdo! De lo contrario, una buena experiencia para nuestra primera comida en un restaurante desde el cierre.

Visité aquí el miércoles pasado.Abarrotado de gente sin preocupación por la distancia social. Restaurante no equipado para distancia social a 12 pulgadas de distancia no a 2 metros. Personal inclinado sobre mesas sin máscaras. Cuando nos desafiaron, recibimos una respuesta muy grosera, básicamente si no te gusta, no vengas. He usado este restaurante durante muchos años, pero no más.Recomendaría esto para llevar. no visites

The pasanda was tasty big pieces of lamb and tender Keema rice lovely and keema nam bread Lamb tikka dupiaza and shami were the best Enough salad for me to have some 2 pots of yogurt Really great meal. Always order from here.

Tuvimos una comida deliciosa aquí la semana pasada como parte de la "campaña de comer fuera para ayudar" y obtuvimos 47 de comida para 27! Nos hubiera encantado pagar el precio completo ya que era un restaurante fantástico y dejamos una propina para los fantásticos camareros. Las medidas de Covid en su lugar fueron geniales y nos sentimos muy seguros cenando aquí.

I've always rated this restaurant very highly and have eaten inside the restaurant multiple times with friends. We visited recently and felt the waiters were trying to rush the service slightly, but please note we also appreciate you cant leave guests for long periods of time to wait for orders either. However our party were happy to relax as a first gathering outside of lockdown. Also found staff a little rude, handing their arm out and stating 'plate' to the customer. We also had a guest who ordered special rice and the waiter offered the same dish as mushroom rice, egg fried rice, then once told we ordered a special rice we were told it was special rice. Finally, we were told we could have a complementory drink so ordered rum and coke. The waiter came with our drinks and told us we had vodka and coke instead. This was fine, it was complementary ofcourse. But the drink we were served was actually whisky. Dishonesty is very off-putting and this really brought the service down. Our food was excellent as usual.

We've had 3 takeaway curries from here over lockdown. Absolutely amazing everytime. Would highly recommend.

Visited the Spice of India in Wimborne Rd in Bournemouth today for lunch and it was brilliant. We have been away due to being stranded abroad for 20 weeks but did visit it the day before we left in February which was our first visit there. We tried two different dishes and they were delicious. We couldn’t wait to get back to visit our favourite Indian restaurant. Well furnished and everything well presented. Quality food for reasonable price. Goof value for money. Thank you Raj.

Visitamos este restaurante en Kinson un sábado por la noche y lo pasamos muy bien.Al sentarnos, notamos una gran fiesta al otro lado de la habitación y nos preocupaba que pudiéramos retrasarnos con el servicio debido a que estaban delante de nosotros.Nuestras preocupaciones eran innecesarias ya que el servicio para nuestra reunión más pequeña fue excelente durante todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí.El establecimiento está muy limpio, el personal es muy amable y la decoración es muy fresca y contemporánea. Lo más importante, la comida estaba deliciosa.

If you want a good Indian meal, try the Spice of India in Kinson. Good, friendly service and super meal.

Went with 18 friends for a birthday meal on a Friday evening. Service was excellent and the restaurant has recently been refurbished and is looking very good. Our server was interested in our tastes, strength of curries etc and was so helpful. All food was served at the same time which for a big party was 1st class. The food was very good and not just your standard curries.

Staff very helpful and attentive. Food wonderful and so tasty. Great choice to suit all including our son. Great value for money.

Went to this restaurant as a large group having pre booked.The surroundings are great and the service was good. Excellent food prepared to a high standard. Thoroughly recommendable

Having used this restaurant for many years we were extremely disappointed with our early evening meal. The chicken rogan josh was almost all tomatoes, in fact tomato quarters outnumbered pieces of chicken 2-1. The chicken jalfrezi contained far too many chillies making it almost impossible to eat. The aubergine in the chicken rajoki was either old or uncooked, altogether a poor meal. We won’t be going back anytime soon.

As a birthday treat friends took me to this restaurant for Tuesday banquet night, fabulous food, super generous portions and to top it off lovely smiley friendly staff and Ferook the manager couldn’t have done more.

Four of us had a great meal with good service. It is hard to believe any diner, could find fault here, let alone at this price. Hence I find the occasional negative comment found on this site, lacks credulity. All the staff were attentive, but not over bearing. As for the Manager Faruk, he could not have done more....friendly and very personable. This restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated. Without doubt we will be back! Thanks guys for a lovely evening

Booked table 4 people. Always welcoming. Food very nice. Always go there for curry or take away. Staff always polite and happy.

Went to the Spice of India last night. We were a group of 14. Excellent evening, excellent service, friendly staff, great food, nothing was too much for the staff, what more can you ask. Will definitely go again.

We enjoyed a very fine and tasty dinner here. We had booked, and were given a choice of tables upon arrival. The service we received could not be faulted, with friendly, helpful staff wearing smiles.

Service was poor staff seemed to be rude not many smiles leaning across the tables to give you your food and drinks not very impressed to be honest.

Had a takeaway last night. It came promptly and was the best we have ever had. Nothing more to say but TA insist I keep typing blah blah blah.

We ordered a curry at 9.15 and by 10.25 it didn't arrive. The staff were extremely unhelpful and were hostile as soon as we had arrived. In all honesty i was very exited for this curry , but the extremely long wait and behaviour of staff, lying to us when we asked simple questions was too much , manager aggressively forced us out when we complained , staff refused to listen. Manager said we were never allowed back again. A real shame as the wallisdown branch have great staff and food, will never return

I ordered a take away from here last night. The guy taking the order was very aggressive which I found odd. When it was delivered, i payed but didn't check the contents. It was missing the starters, so I called up to explain and was put through to the manager who bombarded me with abuse then hung up on me. I was shocked by this so went down to the restaurant in person to speak with the manager. On meeting him again I was met with hostility and abuse and then he flung a chair at me. I ran out on to the street to avoid another chair being flung only to be followed out my the manager and 4 other members of the staff, who all hurled abuse at me....This is not acceptable....The staff here are insane. all this over some poppadoms. I've never experienced anything like it.....I would like to speak with the owner, if anyone can help....I should be speaking to the police, but I wasn't injured in any way, so no point.

Good service from here and lovely meals. Am working through the 'Fairly hot' dishes and all have been very tasty. Am also trying different rice, with no complaints so far. Always made welcome when calling in to pick up takeaway, with 10%off if you don't live too far away. Will see you again soon!

Went for an early evening meal, we used to visit the old place quite often so were keen to try the new premises; we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent (compliments to the chef), the décor is very good and the staff can't do enough for you, even though the place was packed(no empty tables) the staff were very attentive. All in all a good experience.

Booked the restaurant for a group meal of 15 for a birthday celebration. Asked for a 6.30 start but was asked if we could possibly go for a 6pm start. We did and when we arrived I could understand why - the restaurant was already busy and by the time we left around 8.30 there were lots of people waiting in bar area for tables. It was our first visit and we will definitely visit again if we are in the area. The meal was super and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals picking from the wide choice on the Menu. The staff were friendly polite and efficient and even though the restaurant was busy we neither felt hurried to move on or had to wait too long between courses, a relaxing pace. Very impressed by the service. The restaurant itself was very clean and well decorated. Very pleasantly surprised by the bill at the end, well worth it

Had driven past Spice of India a few times since it opened and thought how posh and clean it looked. We'd been looking for a good curry house since the closure of our much loved Signature in Moordown. Well, after our first visit (to Spice of India) we know that we have found it.
