First order of house platter was amazing but second a week later was absolutely awful

First kebab I have had in a while that I thoroughly enjoyed. The mixed kebab was absolutely amazing! The flavour was great, it was so saucy and not dry like your typical post-boozer kebab shop. It had a good portion of meat and just the right amount of salad. Will be adding Spice Hut to my favourites list and will 100% be eating there again!

The food is really nice , well cooked and delicious. This restaurant needs more awareness 😍😍. You should give it a try . Trust me, you will love it . The price is within budget too 🤤🤤❤️.

What a fabulous place . The restaurant was so clean . The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I ordered a meal for four people and the price was excellent. The food was cooked to perfection . This place is definitely a must to try you won't be disappointed.

Excellent Service spoke to the manager personally, who explained to me the menu options. I ordered chicken donner meat and chips naga spice. The portion was too large, so i had to take away. Very happy with the food and service

Not bad, doner flavour and quality is good. Naga Wings should never be grilled, and no naan bread sets it back. Plus the price is abit steep.

I ordered the house special box and did not receive what was described on the menu. The double smash burger was not a double; it was a single patty about the thickness of a piece of paper. There was no cheese sauce on the chips. There were no lamb ribs; instead there was a really dry chicken quarter. There was no chicken tikka and no salad as described. Immensely poor and very disappointing. Will not be ordering again.

I’m absolutely disgusted with this place! Honestly I cannot explain how disappointed I really am. The very first time I placed an order here, the food was stale and soooo salty, I called the store and explained how I was disappointed, they didn’t do anything about it at the time. However, after a few months, I placed an order again thinking I’d give them another chance and honestly I didn’t think it’ll be even worse this time around. I ordered 4 mixed donner kebabs and omg the amount of stinginess in the portions and the presentation of the food was pathetic, I could probably see only 5 chips in my kebab, and the salad was smelling like a blocked drain I nearly puked! Shocked this place is still running! I’ve tried spice hut in other locations and they honestly are doing a much better job lol I think these people need to learn or go and take some training. I wouldn’t order from here ever again in my life!

Food was tasty and with right temperature but the ribs are tough like eating a rubber. Meat won’t come off the bone and had to pull it hard.

When first opened was very good, now it’s become all stingy, order online but they start to prepare when you get there. Quantity of food is poor, wings size of the little finger on my hand. Order for a large portion (extra charge)you still get the same amount as regular but extra extra onions to make it look large. Had given several chance possibly it’s one of them days but it’s always the same. Will never be ordering from spice hut Northampton, any other spice hut service, quantity and quality better. Hopes to be a regular but got better places to spend my money.

The sauce is normally mouth watering however was disappointed with today’s one the smell and taste seemed off!!

We ordered mild naga mixed kebab with chips. And Fried wings. They gave us a super extreme hot naga doner red colour meat kebab it is ridiculously hot, its like staff took a p*ss out on our food. For fried wings, they put extra hot red colour naga wings. Novice staff who are inexperienced don't understand naga is a flavour stir fry kebab. not to put half a jar in a kebab. No wonder this place is quiet Friday night. I will never go there or recommend anyone go there if they will serve food like that. 9th July 2024. I was waiting for your reply to my complaint. I have seen your other bad reviews and how you have dealt and been replying back to your customers without any apologies for your own mistake or failure to satisfy customers by taking their hard earn money. Each of your customers complaint you have been defensive, arrogant and manipulate. You sound like a novice in food business, franchise owner who have zero knowledge in customer services. Been arrogant is good but being arrogant in food business is a sign of disaster to come.

No complaints about food just a little disappointed I called separately and asked for plenty of separate sauces which we didn't get any at all for almost a £50 order.

Good food as you’d expect from a spice hut franchise. However, having ordered quite often since they opened, this branch often seems to deliver with missing items when ordering direct via their website, but never so when ordering through other platforms such as UberEats? I hope this is nothing more than the staff paying more attention to orders received through third party platforms due the commercial consequences….

Ordered a kebab with no sauce, came with loads of sauce. 4 lonely looking strips of donner meat in a mayo ocean. 9 pounds for the pleasure. Chicken was okay tho can't lie.

First Spice Hut in town, went to check it out with a visiting friend from out of town and see what all the heat was about! I must say, really good food (especially the burgers), along with very friendly and cheerful staff! which personally for me makes all the difference at times and don't mind waiting around, or it taking that bit more longer to prepare for quality food and service. Food was cold and was packing was not closed properly

Today 11/4/24 around 6-7pm I ordered lamb donner only which was £6 and paid an extra £1.50 for large that’s £7.50 in total. I’m not trying to write anything malicious just genuinely confused as I just wanted large lamb donner with medium spiced nothing else and boss man even confirmed this when he said ‘I ALMOST added fries’ meaning my order is just lamb donner as I wanted. So I come home with my takeaway order to find fries and salad?? Also if attached photo is a large then what is a medium portion? The food tasted good but too small, I’m still hungry and disappointed tbh. The shop was empty and only two staff and didn’t seem busy so I’m confused as to how spice hut got my order wrong?

Food is generally good but this time there was multiple errors; 1. Chips missing from kids meal, 2. Fish burger bun burnt on both sides, and 3. Naga wings were tiny pieces (all pieces were tCheese was missing from the cheesy chips. I had called and asked for the chips from the kids menu which was delivered efficiently, but had noticed the cheesy chips after the first call so I didn’t bother calling back for that as it’s Ramadan and we had started our iftaar. Disappointed in the overall quality.

ordered for 6:10 came at 6:27 and the place didn’t give the lamb donner as a meal and didn’t give two chips when calling up the rude idiot hung up the phone and someone in the back goes “too busy” rudest and worst customer service don’t order here ever

I hope your disgusting food gives you the sH1*S 😁I ordered the Hana special, meant to be mixed naga doner with chips. I added a note to keep chips separate. The staff said its not possible because its loaded. I said just to keep it separate whether its loaded or not. They gave me a tiny tiny portion of chicken doner only in a small burger box (not even the usual doner box) with no salad, and no Pitta, the meal was £9.50. OWNER said to read my review 10 times 😂 I own a company MATE so I know exactly how logistics, products, customer loyalty and retention works. OK you didn't advertise pitta. But where was the mixed doner or rest of the red cabbage genius????? You need to learn to run a company properly. Your staff can't speak English and you probably can't either judging by rubbish business skills and response below. Everyone save your money for a better fast food place and better yet avoid toilet issues 😁

Terrific taste! I come to spice hut at least 2x a week, the food is unmatched. Their donners and chicken smash burgers are my absolute favourite!!!

just overall a great take away with amazing costumer service, don't get fouled into thinking this guys aren't on top of their game, because they are! if you love some spice, try their naga range of products, if you like it more mild, they have 4 different spice levels. Since i started eating here, i just cannot get enough! ps: they always read the notes you leave for them and they always stick to your notes, which personally i really appreciate. keep up the hard work and i will keep ordering! :)

These reviews must be fake. You only need to check Ubereats to realise they're on 3.4 rating lol. You can provide a restaurant with ample opportunities but I definitely wouldn't order from there again. Especially after realising they have a 3* hygiene rating. Updated the stars as you'd requested. This is without a doubt one of the best places in Northampton! The food is literally perfect, no one has flavours like spice hut. The owner is a great guy aswell always polite, helpful and welcoming. My go to spot.

the naga box challenge needed to be hotter

Ordered for the first time through JustEat with my partner, wanting to order the Hana special however this wasn’t on the menu in the system. We had ordered 2 large mixed donners instead and left a note for the restaurant if they’re able to make them Hana specials. The restaurant took our note into consideration and indeed delivered us 2 Hana specials. The food was still hot upon delivery and tasted amazing. 5* for the food and attentive staff. Will definitely order again.

I have been to Spice Hut northampton many times.. since it’s been open! It never lets me down.. took couple of my mates there and they think it’s fire (fire in flavour and the taste of it 😂).. a young champ called hassan has served us many times during the afternoon and his service is absolutely amazing! Evening time they are always packed and they always deliver the food on time; busy or not. Will be coming back again and again! If anyone who hasn’t tried the food.. i recommend the new hana special they recently added.

By far the best doner in Northampton

My food arrived quickly and I noticed straight away that it wasn't fresh the chips and chicken wings were cold and after eating half of my wings I noticed a green bit of fluff was stuck to my chicken like it was fried with it because it was intertwined in it I can only describe it as washing up spong and I instantly spat my food out and threw it away really unhappy as I was looking forward to some wings but left disappointed

I ordered extra hot flavour grill chicken and plain chicken was delivered. Despite I had selected extra hot flavour and also mentioned it on the notes for naga flavour I received plain grill chicken.

Placed an order for delivery several times and leave a note mentioned my food to be hot flavoured and they send me a plain chicken every time However tried to contact them they are not able help food was blunt and cold Never ordering there again. 👎👎👎👎👎

The quality of this place has gone downhill since it opened. Before it used to be amazing, now the sauces are watery and tangy, the cheese for the chips is ultra processed and the naga donner isn't as spicy as it used to be

My partner and I went Northampton from London and we thought to try out the Spice Hut there. We live in East London so we know what a good Spice Hut tastes like and we can definitely say Spice Hut in Northampton is definitely 10/10 and is 100 times better than what we have in East London. Everything that we tried had SO much flavour, the ‘Hannah Special’ is definitely recommended. We can’t wait to go back and order from there again! Picture was taken half way through the meal!

Was first time eating here what a little gem £15 i got a burger all trimmings, piri piri chips, piri wings went for lemon and herb flavour banging and lamb ribs also came with a mixed kebab with a side of salad and and a drink yes for £15 nothing was bad quality came well precented lads were really polite and cheerful 1000% going back

Firstly you are charging us for delivery but the delivery man refuses to bring the food to my door because of his electric scooter!! The food!! Paid for single smash burger for 7.50 but it was exactly the same as a cheese burger for £2!! Never ordering again

Had a kebab, loved the spices and sauces but meat was full of gristles, skin with little pieces of feather and even a few bones, disgusting. Pity, if meat was properly prepared before cooking it would have been a really nice meal.

I travelled from Birmingham with family to see a car and we came here to eat. The food was absolutely amazing and the place was clean tidy and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone. Shame we dont have one in Birmingham. Thanks guys.

Just had spice hut for the first time after having it recommended to me. I cannot tell you how good it is. So much taste, flavour and choice. Had the box meal with smash burger, kebab, lamb rib, chicken wings etc and some naga chicken strips as an extra. My mind is blown as to how good it is. I don’t normally leave reviews but wow.

Very disappointed with todays order! All Sauces spilt in the bag, Both donner kebabs were very oily, literally dripping! And I got charged for free onions rings!👎🏽 One off maybe, who knows🤷🏽‍♂️
