Spice Hut in East Staffordshire

I orderd a large pepperoni pizza for 9.50£ and it was probably one of the best pizzas ive had in a long time the pepperonis are abit burnt but the crunch and how soft the bread is and how long that cheese pull is i am highly impressed the only thong i want them to improve is theor opening time i would love if it opend way earlier but over roll spice hut pizza is top tier definitely recommend buying their pizzas because trust me it is worth it 5/5

Chicken tikka kebab was great. Generous portion, very tasty and reasonably priced. Excellent place.

Aweful service as it was an online order some how the order switched to collection. Then chased the restaurant a very rude chap answered. And rather than giving straight answer he was abrupt rude and disconnected the call. What a great service they provide

Placed an order online, we waited half hour and made a call to see how long our food was going to be, to be told they had our money but don't know our order. We are then told a further 20 minuets, we call again after half hours waiting to be told the driver is on the way, another 15 minuets pass still not had our food, by this time its 10pm. When we finally got our food, the order was incorrect, chicken was burned and garlic bread was like rubber and chips were reheated chips, we called for a refund on the incorrect food, he told us no we will replace it, we didn't want a replacement as it was already so late, he then went on to rudely tell us we should have ordered earlier, 20 past 8 seems early enough to me. We had really poor service from this place and terrible food and to not give a refund for poor incorrect food is beyond me. Never again will we be ordering from here again, as this is not the only time we have had bad service and food from here. I really advise you to go elsewhere.

Ordered a take away for delivery. Order placed easily. Delivery arrived quickly and well within time allocated, so far so good. Large pizza was hot but simply had just pepperoni on it , hardly a deluxe version as expected. The chicken , donner kebab tho was almost inedible and was quickly put in the bin. It was soggy, had old poor quality salad on it, the chicken was as if had been boiled in some poorly spiced mix, the donner meat was really pale in colour and almost of a boiled / steamed warmed up consistency. The overall taste and quality of this was very poor. Can’t fault the quickness in service guys but a £20 supper that most of ended up in the bin isn’t great.

Came in for food asked for CHEESE TOMATO AND SWEETCORN and clearly in picture below u can see that this is incorrect we rang the store told us that is the correct pizza and offers us a fight over the phone nasty vermin work there DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY no social distancing no mask use and breaking covid collection rules STAY AWAY AVOID!!! ALSO reported to food and safety hygiene council PLEASE READ THIS AND FINALLY AVOID THESE VERMIN

Ordered a large doner kebab and was very disappointed in the size. Would have said it was at best a small kebab. Meat was tasty and salad was fresh but it was tiny. £8 for a child’s portion and we were told 30-40 minutes delivery time when it was actually over an hour.

Ordered a bigger and chips meal, owner didn’t speak English so he never took the order correctly and overcharged me and a friend. Burger was half missing and not cooked properly. Overcharged us £4 extra and said we couldn’t get a refund.

Ordered a veggie 12” pizza because the combination sounded nice , asked for it to be topped with pepperoni. Also ordered a chicken donner mixed kebab for delivery. Pizza arrived with no pepperoni, by far the thinnest pizza I have ever witnessed from any takeaway . Burnt, hardly any cheese, completely tasteless. There would be more value in a 99p frozen pizza from anywhere on this planet. Absolutely vile . The kebab followed suit and tasted like it had the contents of a tin wrapped in it. Needless to say this is by far the worst takeaway I have ever experienced. This is a genuine review based on my experience tonight.

Ordered before and was really nice, but last few times was awful. Tonight we had to throw out it away. The chips were cold, kebab had to be re heated so could eat some but had no flavour. The burger was not cooked. Will not be using again. Delivery takes over an hour and not worth the wait.

Well ordered my kebab for home delivery at 5.30pm and was told it would be with me in 45 mins to 1 hour. I was ok with this but it never arrived on time so decided to ring up to see where it was. This was at 7pm. 1.5 hrs later. Got a very rude guy on the phone as he said they were busy. When I then said I wanted a reduction in price for the massive delay I was told we don’t do that. As I was now very frustrated I said to him that I didn’t want it now and when his driver turns up I will send it back. He then started shouting and being abusive down the phone telling me that he will never take an order off me again and I will be blacklisted. He then preceded to slam the phone down on me without giving me the chance to reply. I have used them for over 4 yrs with no problems until then. 15 mins later the food turned up and by then I was so hungry I decided to take the order against my better judgement. I wish now I had returned it as it was cold and the nan bread was soggy and falling to pieces. Meat wasn’t properly cook with some chicken not fully cooked. It was absolutely disgusting and threw it away and went to chip shop instead. I will never use this place again after my experience. They also need health and safety to visit them to see if their doing everything correctly. Do yourselves a favour peeps don’t bother.

Food was nice, but what a robbing little tramps I ordered food on 30th May they tried to tell me it was shut but they wasn't the money came out my bank twice I called them to explain and he said nothing he can do and told me not to use them again

Best kebabs in area always good and recommended by number one son when he was a student couldn't find better anywhere else service is good and all the other items on the menu are good but the chicken shish donner is quality

Called for a delivery, said 30 min delivery. Over an hr we waited we called 3 times to find out where it was. After the 4th call they said it had just left... 1Hr 20mins after the delivery was placed!! Guy on the phone even argued that we didn't know where we live! Never using this place again! Good luck Fri or Sat!

Go here quite often. And always hope for better quality of food. Went here yesterday and had a standard kebab and chips. When it arrived my food was stone cold, i had less than a handful of chips and there was a piece of bone the size of a tooth in my food. Was not impressed!! Then a black thing the same size. Could’ve honestly cracked one or my teeth biting on that!! Never going here again after that as thats the last thing i want in my food. How was that piece of bone not noticeable? Honestly would only recommend if it was the only place in burton thats open.

Absolutely rip offs never order from here, they took my money out of my bank account yet didn’t receive an off order, when I rang them they were absolutely useless, said there must be a problem somewhere and I’d receive my money bank, which I never, my friends have been here and said it’s absolutely disgusting!

I have used spice hut for the past ten years. It is without a doubt the best takeaway in Burton. Always fresh and cooked well. I’ve tried a few other takeaways, but nothing come close to spice hut. Their dinner shish is amazing.

I asked my boyfriend to order so it was being cooked as we had little time, when he tried firstly they picked up and said hold on why I serve somebody in the shop and then the man had a problem with signal but refused to move, so bboyfirned gave up.I order when I got home and said would be 45 minutes after an hour and 10 minutes, I rang up and said delivery was outside which I said it wasn't then it was on its way and then I was told by rude man all delivery's take up to an hour we are delivering by aeroplanes and all takeaways take this long, I said just cancel the order as he was not sure how much longer the order would be.I have used this take away and they always get boyfriends order correct but never mine, but tonight after this terrible customer service they have lost a customer.

Due to a hiccup with the spice hut website last week I was charged twice for my order, a order that I have placed regularly for the past three and a half years! I Phoned up when I noticed that I had been charged twice to query the mistake, I did not want a refund but just to have another order, an order that I had actually already been charged for! I was met with hostility and accused of trying to scam by the owner! The owner denied ever delivering to my address but when I challenged that he agreed he had regularly delivered to me but said it was now too late. I offered to show him the payment coming out twice, seconds apart but I was told it was too late and it’s my own fault! He then went on to tell me to get off the phone as he had customers to serve!I have been a loyal customer and I find it ridiculous that he would not offer to deliver another order out of a gesture of good will to keep a customer, EVEN though I had in fact already paid for it! It’s embarrassing and will never use them again! Pathetic customer service

Having a wonderful night with close friends, placed an order an hour previous. One hour and ten mins later I rang up to see where the food was. They responded that the order had been cancelled. Not one of us cancelled our food, why would we? They’re an absolute disgrace and I urge no one to place an order with these again!

Can't go wrong with the food. Good price for what you get. The set meals are the the best meal deals.

Food delivered on time but the kebab was cold and dry. Asked for sauces but didn’t get any. Same with drinks

Have seen kebabs from here in naan bread. I'm from Birmingham but work in Burton and these are the best I have found Pick up so don't know about delivery but what I have is very tasty

Told 45 mins delivery. After an hour and half told we were liars and told should be 2 hours delivery. When questioned I was told not to threaten the staff? Shocking service once food arrived cold and threw in bin never using again!

OMG just had chicken kebab and chips, amaziiiinnnnggggg, not enjoyed a takeaway so much in years, thank you,will definitely be ordering again, quick delivery, I’m definitely one happy customer, great service 😁👍

Ordered via JustEat website - took an hour and 45 minutes to deliver. Called to enquire where it was and they said it was 'just being prepared as we speak'. Food arrived 15 minutes after i called - cold and had items missing. They had said they would said complimentary drinks - which never came! Called to complain and they didnt seem that bothered, just said let them know next time we order and they will sort something out! Not impressed at all!

Had food in the past from here which has been ok but tonight I had to wait an hour and a half for my food, and I’d only ordered a pizza meal deal. When I rang they tried to say they had been but nobody had answered, but when the driver got here I asked him and they implied it was busy and they went to the wrong address. He said the food was still warm but it wasn’t and had to be microwaved. Instead of fries and a drink I got two portions of chips, which were cold. No excuse for the food being cold since we live literally a minute drive from the takeaway. Don’t think I’ll be using them again unless they improve. Disappointing.

Nunca comentó en Tripadvisor, pero este era muy pobre. Esperamos 90 minutos para la entrega. La comida estaba fría y no muy buena.

Horrendo! La comida, el servicio y la entrega fue absolutamente horrible! Pedir comida a las 22:15 y nos dijeron que sería una espera de 45 minutos. Llamado de 1 hora y 20 minutos más tarde para comprobar el estado del pedido y nos dijeron que habíamos olvidado nuestra orden! Entonces nos dijeron que estaría con nosotros en 15 minutos. No fue así. Tras una nueva llamada de teléfono a las 11:55 por fin llegó la comida después de 12! El enrollado de pollo era literalmente una tortilla con 2 piezas de pollo frito. Sin salsa. Sin ensalada. Cuando llamé, me quejé el propietario Nasar no era incluso un poco disculpas. Cuando le dije que estaría dando una crítica sincera sobre lo malo de la comida y el servicio. . . Me dijo que no me molestaron. Como él tenía un montón de buenas críticas. Absolutamente chocante. Nos clientes habituales. ¡Nunca más!

Usado muchas veces.. fueron buenas, pero el kebab se pone más y más pequeños y no son baratos. Compré pollo donantes pero sin pollo.. en mi próxima visita hablé con el propietario, que dijo que está muy mal y realmente no me importaba... No voy...

9 de cada 10 veces la comida está bien, pero esta es la segunda vez cuando ha sido entregado hasta 30 minutos más tarde y tan frío y húmedo y pasada era incomible.

Comida preparada donde se puede ver. Es siempre buena comida a un precio estupendo y nuestro pedido llega en buen momento. El personal es amable y servicial también. Es nuestra elección para llevar por la noche.

I've read some other reviews complaining about service, but i can honestly say these are the best kebabs in a good 5 mile radius. The donna meat will melt your heart! 10/10 everytime!

The food isn't great and the service is absolutely rubbish! The shop is run by kids! Go elsewhere don't waste your money!!!

Firstly!The customer service from this place is shocking. I recieved a phonecall saying the delivery driver could not get into the block of flats and to go to him "quickly" with no please ir thank you.. Manners cost nothing i dont think some people realise this. When i went to the delivery driver he was just as bad saying to me known of the buttons work its not on in which i did reply saying well if you push the door it does open to get in the block of flats so clearly not only do these employers have no customer service a few do not seem to have common sense either. Secondly the food was cold (not even the dog would have a chip) the only reason i gave this place a 2 was because the food portion size is really good. Shame about the rest. We had issues the first time we used spice hut just thought that would if been a one off.. Certainly will NOT be returning!!

Ordered online. I only eat from here from time to time and the foods always been ok - thought I'm a fussy eater so haven't tried some of the delights (like Pizza etc)

Ordered over forty pounds of this slop and guess what .took 50 minutes to arrive then we found loads was missing greasy crapp.when we rang back the old selective hearing came on. Eating hear is just a gamble avoid!!!!!

We ordered food last night my 7 year has done nothing but be sick also me and my husband food was disgusting and now we know the reason ! I am not happy at all will also be going to trading standers

Fantastic kebabs they also deliver pizzas are amazing never takes long when you order by phone keep up the good work guys

Called in on passing and had what was just a average Kebab. Had better in the local chippy. Will htink twicw about using in the future
