Heart Of Siam Thai Restaurant in East Staffordshire

Booked this for an evening meal after a long day travelling. We booked the table for 19.15 and we were on time. We were sat at the table for approx 15 mins and we were asked to move to another table so they could accommodate a party of six. We agreed with no problem. We had our order taken for food. Then the problem began. We waited until 20.30 before our starter came. We asked 3 times during this time and were told on each occasion it would be out next. The food when it eventually arrived was beautiful. I would go back but not until I have got over how bad the service was.

The food here is amazing but service sadly is not. Very slow took 45 mins to even take out order. We had 2 courses and were there for 2 and a half hours. Dark haired waitress brash and abrasive and being bossy to the others and abrupt at the table. Caught her refusing to take an order from a nearby table who had very young children and wanted the kids meals while they were looking at the menu because it wasn’t easy for her. It’s not what’s easiest if you, it should be what’s right for the customers. The food is finer dining and service is not refined at all.

Lovely meal the best Thai food I have eaten. Portions generous and the service was quick and polite. Very busy on a Friday night so probably quieter mid week. We will return.

Tucked away in a corner of Uttoxeter, but was glad to find this place. Extermely tasty food and decent selection of drinks all at very reasonable prices. The staff were courteous, pleasant and attentive. Probably some of the nices Thai food we have tasted.

Tried the new street food menu last night the food was lovely and different to my usual choice of Masaman. Lovely quality and tasting the street food menu wanton starters were great.

Food was excellent .All freshly cooked and reasonable price . Needs a bit of TLC . Staff were friendly. There is a car park but didn’t realise you could use it as it was next to another restaurant. Definitely go back. Different offers on different days. We had 3 courses. It all was delicious. Very well presented

We have eaten here quite a few times, and it's always been great food and service. The staff are super friendly and the food has always been delicious. It is a nice restaurant and we always look forward to coming. You can tell the employees care and they always ask how everything is. We usually come on special occasions and it never disappoints.

I visited Heart of Siam for the first time in December with my family for my Mum’s birthday celebrations. I absolutely loved my experience and could not fault the food. As someone who is a very fussy and unadventurous eater, I found it easy to find something I’d like on the menu (Pad See Eew) and it was delicious! I loved the decor and the orchestral versions of pop and rock music that are played throughout the restaurant. While we were waiting for our food we were trying to guess what all the songs were which was fun. On that note, the wait for our mains was quite long (if I recall correctly, it was over an hour). There was a large table of about 20 opposite us and lots of other tables occupied as it was a Saturday night so the demand could have been the reason but we were all really hungry and the wait felt so long. The service was certainly interesting😂the woman who I believe to be the manager was incredibly welcoming and looked after us all evening, there was a young lad who was probably about 15 who clearly hadn’t been there very long but was very friendly and chatty and there was a young girl who is destined to work in a Karen Diner. She was regularly making comments about the new boy not being good at his job and was telling my partner and niece off (in a jokey way) for something they said. I personally found her very entertaining but I imagine that some customers would be appalled at how unprofessional she is😂 Last week I had a takeaway from here and, again, I couldn’t fault it. We didn’t have wait long on collection, the portion sizes were spot on, the food was fantastic and the manager was lovely. I will definitely be dining in and ordering takeout from Heart of Siam again

I had a meal and found a few surprises! Tom yum soup is always clear in any Thai restaurant. This one was white and creamy ! And not tasty. Jungle curry was again like thick sauce type and not clear like every other Thai restaurant! Prawn crackers and plain rice was good. Looked like made from ready-made meals type than freshly cooked. Sorry . It is not upto the mark. The decor is fabulous and the service is very good.

Was ok, had a point of contention that was sorted in the end with some hastily microwaved veg the meal said it came with steamed veg I didn’t receive any when I asked I was told it didn’t I had to Google the menu and show them it said it did to get any. Attentive and the food was nice, plenty of chicken but the chips weren’t very salt n pepper tasting could of done with being stronger.

Visited with party of 9 for my niece 18th Birthday. Absolutely first class on every level. Food was delicious and we all said the best Thai food we had. Service was also excellent. Would highly recommend. Thank you for such a memorable evening x

APPALLING. As a small business owner myself I hate to do this, but. This is the 3rd and last time I will order from here. Tried to give the benifit of the doubt. Can't fault the quality of the food but the quantity of food you receive is pitiful The last order was for 2 people it came to £40.70 and was not enough to fill 1 person, we are not big eaters I weigh 11st (70kg) Beef salad £12 contained 3 thin slices of beef, 2 cherry tomatoes? 4 salad leaf, cup of water & chilli I know the cost of living has risen but this really does take the p%£s My 2 year old daughter managed to eat a main by herself "chicken pad thai" LOOK FOR ANOTHER THAI RESTAURANT/ TAKEAWAY

Staying at Alton Towers we thought we would have a treat on the last night. We ordered 14 dishes as we have a large family. Well after an hour round trip, our kids were ready and as we opened the starters we realised that they were all without the sauces. No satay, no sweet chilli sauce, no dipping sauce. Then we had a pad Thai without lime or peanuts. When it's a large order you expect a few faux pas but this was a few too many. I called up to explain and the lady apologised. She offered that if we came back the next day then they could sort out something, however we wouldn't be here. She then started mentioning next time and I explained it was a one off. I asked if the sauces could be sent as our meal was essentially ruined without. She said she needed to speak to the owner. The owner declined and she said there was nothing more she could do. She was rather obtuse and I said very calmly we would never come back and she said we'll don't and hung up the phone. Even though they accepted they had messed up our order nothing was done to rectify it. Not even a we will send £10 back to your account. However to mess it up and then be so rude on top, takes the biscuit. As a family we rarely write reviews as can be seen. However, Heart of Siam clearly has very little heart once they have your money. Everyone makes mistakes but it is how they are handled that makes a difference to someone's experience and how they view a place. Food wise it was a luck of the draw, it was either really good and tasty or bin fodder. Such a shame as what they do well, they do really well. A change of waitress / telephony staff may benefit as I can see her obtuse, steely and hard nosed approach putting many off. Such a shame, as manners are free. In response to your reply. At no point was I rude / raise my voice to your staff whilst explaining my disappointment. So your comment about the way I spoke to her is untrue and a desperate tactic to resort to. We understand that you are a small business so we hope this lesson is a blessing and we wish you every success. Your apology is most appreciated, thank you.

Ordered a takeaway from here tonight and it was fantastic! Me and my friends are all vegan and the lady I spoke to on the phone told me they could adapt the vegetarian options for us - 8 out of the 9 items we wanted was able to be made vegan which was fantastic! Great service and ready for the time I asked for. Really friendly staff and so many options - they were all delicious! Can’t wait to order from here again

We have visited a couple of times previously and always had a lovely meal but took friends with us this time. As usual food great, staff very friendly and attentive but not over bearing, portion sizes really good all served hot. This is an absolute gem for Uttoxeter and a fabulous night out, cannot wait to visit again.

What a hidden gem in Uttoxeter the food was outstanding, service and the staff were impeccable. Without doubt one of the best meals I've had out. Will certainly be returning.

This was the first time we have eaten at heart of Siam, we had a takeaway and it was incredible! I didn’t catch the lady’s name on the phone who I placed my order with but she was so lovely, it was ready quickly and the portions were fresh, delicious and big (we’re big eaters!) my husband collected the food and he said how beautiful the restaurant was and how amazing the staff are, we’ll be eating here often now! Thankyou!

We got take away and it was great! We had the biggest prawns I’ve ever seen and the fried aubergines were delicious. We’ll be visiting again soon

We ordered a takeaway from here and couldn't fault it! We ordered a chicken red thai curry, chicken massaman curry and crispy pork belly stir fry. All the dishes were fresh and tasty - all good sized portions. It was ready for collection within 25 minutes, friendly service and we even got a free beer!
