I been to spice hut but this branch is not good staff not friendly food is not great compare to other spice hut won't be coming here

service is shitt haven't received my order the driver was blind must have delivered at incorrect address

When I opened it up, all the sauces were thrown all over the box and tissues. Made a mess everywhere and was uneatable. I demand a refund

thought this was the Ilford one so when I ordered I was confused. Went to barking to collect the food, 100% worth it. It tastes great.

I had the desi breakfast, which was delicious! The parathas were cooked to perfection and the chai was one of the best I've had. I would recommend stopping by for a quick bite :)

Consistently delicious, my favourite takeaway by far. They also follow the order notes every time even when they’re quite complex. Really enjoy the food and excellent service. Delicious. 👍

Very bad customer service, staffs were very rude and professional. I did not receive my food, the delivery man were delivered in different address, therefore I have called the restaurant and they said they don't know anything, this is not there job to see its delivered correctly or not. I am not happy with their customer services. They have cherged me £21.70 without send me any food

I ordered lamb doner with pilau rice and told them medium spice as my child who is 6 years old will have this meal, but when they gave it to me I saw it was written naga lamb doner, So I asked them twice is it with naga chilli spice, they said no it is medium, to make sure I have asked them again please check this as My child will eat this, they said it is medium spice and they don't bother to check it. Then I went home and gave it to my child and found it was with naga chilli spicy after ate my child started crying and having a tummy ache, So took the meal to them again which from my home to spice hut is 15 Minutes walk and ho home again 15 minutes walk, after I have been there they just say sorry we will change it for you. They didn't even bother to give me any discount on that meal or compensation with others, I was totally disappointed, but what can we say. I just share my experience that's all.

Just eat delivery good, but the food from the restaurant is awful! I am a regular however the quality has deteriorated significantly!! Chips were soggy and tasted stale, the curry had no taste and had a oily smell, no salad or sauces were provided.

Didn't reveive our order, really really dissapointed. Called restaurant and they did not help.

The delivery was excellent, but the restaurant needs to do better with tiger food service. Why sell a lamb masala if there isn’t any piece of lamb in it? And how do you sell me naan bread like tiny for £2+ by sprinkling roughly cuts of garlic on it? Making it unpleasant to the eye. I am definitely not happy with this order.

The Doner was fantastic really enjoyed our meal, and the fries also tasted so good. It taste like original Spice Hut.

Ordered a cheeseburger for my daughter told the women who served me very specifically NO LETTUCE OR KETCHUP AND NO ONION (due to allergies) did they listen absolutely NOT. As she was very hungry I had to quickly grab her another burger from the shop a few doors down who actually listened.

After a long journey and late at night ... Spice Hut saved me and a friend. A tasty chicken bhuna + a delicious lamb masala + two portions of pilau rice = £32 (including delivery with Just Eat). We went for Indian food but there are also burgers, fish & kebabs on the menu.

Twice now. Order missing items. When I rang takeaway he kept saying next time free items will be given but when I asked for refund for missing items he did not want to refund for missing items??? I contacted Just eat and asked for the refund still. Ahmed ektu dodgy guy.

I ordered chicken wings and chicken doner wrap both were so tasteless and also looks the chicken was not fresh and didn't cook well. I also feel like they have used food colour in that as my hands and teeth get red after using. It was waste of money. Never buy again

Portion size is very questionable. The wings are very tiny and the chips are very little in a box. Waste of money.

I've been there alot. The people in there are really nice, they listen to special order requests. (E.g no salad) they are great people and the kebabs and smash burgers are absolutely amazing. Also the portion sizes are decent for the price! Not to mention, the design inside with the petals give a nice atmosphere to the place. I give it a good 4.5 stars :)

I had an awful experience at Spicy Hut in Barking. We ordered the half grilled chicken, and it was the worst food I've ever had in my life. They served what seemed like old leftovers covered in a terrible red spice. Instead of a proper half chicken, they gave us just two leg and thigh pieces. It was disgusting, not food! We also tried the grilled lamb chops and grilled wings, but they were just as bad—like something you'd feed a dog, not fit for human consumption. No one should have to eat this kind of garbage. I strongly advise against coming here. It was an absolute waste of time and money.

I saw him on the map sitting in a spot off the road for 15 minutes. I took screenshots of the place and of him being in the opposite direction of the delivery point.

These guys are a disgrace to the spice hut name, spice hut originally got so popular in Stepney because they didn’t care how many sauces you asked for and they were the first to have burger sauce, this place makes you pay for sauce tubs, what’s that all about, some joke.

Good food just a pity you can't ring and order food unless you use a food app ,as they cook everything fresh

They always overcharge me be very careful when you buy any food from this shop. Ask them and cross check with price. £££ matters…

Cod fish was dry and too hard. Over cooked

The driver didn’t have any credit on his phone to call me and kept on claiming he’s is trying to call me but couldn’t because he had not money on phone to call from the start. Was riding around my block 25 mins and made food go cold. Just eat service is ridiculous!

So I ordered from Spice Hut on 28/05/2024. The Chicken that was sent was pink inside. See photos. Called, they said they'll give me a free meal next time. It's not about the free meal! No communication about we will review our preparation of food. It felt like a hush offer. Disgusting. Was a regular. So that's the end of that

We got food every other week from Spice hut barking or Commercial road branches but tonight we ask them to make Donner & Biryani’s medium hot but they make extra extra hot and spicy, we could not eat even single bite, we throw in the bin £42.00 order.. I call them they advise me next time they will be careful, but they couldn’t offer anything, personally I would advise to everyone please don’t go to Spice hut anymore, because they thought they were now big franchises,

Bought a takeaway today (7 May 2024) for a chicken doner and peri peri chicken. Chicken doner was stale and smelly. Peri peri chicken was no way close to peri peri and was more like a tandoori chicken. Very bad food.

Ordered lamb doner, chips and 2 hot wings. Everything was nice and hot on arrival. The food was quite spicy when eating as different spicehuts add naga or not for their hot option. This one added naga and my insides are gone Lool, but it was worth it.

The food was initially meant to be delivered between 2:20 and 2:50 and then at that time the delivery time had gone up TWICE! The food that was delivered was then freezing cold and ON TOP OF THAT the restaurant gave me the WRONG drink!! I’m extremely dissatisfied and would like a full refund because this is unacceptable

Today I bought chicken donar with chips and drink around 9:30 pm At barking spicy hut.The food quality was too bad. It was salty and something with suspicious. I never saw like that things. I like to eat from spicy hut. But today I am very very disappointed, I added photo below.

The driver drove past my flat to go and do a delivery miles past my flat i live a 5min drive from the place i ordered yet it took him 40 mins from picking my order uo to getting to me absolutely shocking

0 manners guy don’t how to speak someone forget about the delivery guy they are hard worker I have seen guy on counter he was passing the comment to other colleagues have some manners

Considering I’ve ordered from various other local spice hut branches. I much prefer the food from here. The taste definitely reminds me of the old school spice hut flavours. This has now become my go to spice hut when ordering.

chips and sauce missing from the order. we were breaking our fast so only noticed after half the food was eaten and wasn't able to take a picture for proof.

A welcome addition to Barking and saves a journey to Ilford or Goodmayes to get a Spice Hut fix. Reducing this down as the quality seems to be inconsistent trending downwards especially on the Biryani front. The food is pretty much as you’d expect from Spicehut but the main thing is that they have always got the order right. Missing and incorrect items are usual at other Spicehuts so glad I dont have to deal with that hassle. Another plus is that they actually calculate your order properly rather than guesstimate invariably resulting in them over charging so another plus for this Barking branch

Went there for the first time. The chap behind the counter recommended a biriyani so I went for it. The chicken was ok but the lamb was very chewy. The service was very good. We are inside.

Food is ok. They charge extra for garlic sauce after you spend £15-£20. The reason is they buy the sauce and not make it themselves. Where as all other spice hut, it's offered free.

So quick and food is always fresh

I never received my food and they still charged me, I called the restaurant and the person that answer the phone was rude and not social, He didn’t help me at all told me there is nothing he can do I am very shocked that they still took my money and didn’t want to resend my order

Ordered my usual Biryani as a take away. food was badly burned and smelled very bad. the salad was not washed as there was dark stuff on it. my bombay aloo had not tasted and smelled very bad. very bad customer servjce overall and huge language barrier and racist atmosphere

Great food yet again! Thanks guys. I have orederd from Spice Hut and in particular this branch over 7 years plus, and each time has been excellent. Definitely should have a higher rating simply on the basis that Spice Hut is one of the only companies brave enough to create an original recipe and thier own unique flavour and twist on on take away food. Spice Hut in my opinion, is for anyone wanting to eat something exciting and different from your typical everday kebab/pizza/fried chicken takeaway shop. Keep up the good work Spice Hut team ! 👏

Food is f*ucking sh*it. Worse than prison food. Gave me old food and expired food, i can show you images. Disgusting needs to be removed.

It wasn’t the mixed doner I was expecting but the food was delicious chips portion for a large was too small. Very good food.

Avoid this branch of spice hut if you plan to order biryani and daal, especially if ordering when you’re hungry. Ordered medium spice biryani but got extra spicy drowned in chilli with charred burnt chicken pieces that appeared old and refried just tossed into the rice. The daal (lentil) side was pure liquid no thickness and I questioned if it actually had any lentil in it. It looked like yellow water with bits of fried onion in it. All wasted and binned.

Cannot recommend this place. The portion sizes are very small and the wings are stale. Best spice hut is the burdett road. Avoid like the plague.

First time been there, really bad experience Nan bread of all of my orders were half cooked, Chickens wings were cold and looked like from last night. would not recommend.

Great quality and packaged well. The smash burger was perfect. The only little niggle I had was the peshwari naan wasn't sweet enough for me and a little cold but again its just a very little criticism!

The wings here are unique...and spicy..their garlic and mint white sauce neutralise the spice and takes it to another level....

If you want to go for a quick bites one of the best place in barking.. and for the spicy lovers I would definitely recommend this.

I asked for extra hot lamb biryani. It Barely has spice. The Spice Hut in East Ham is much better. I am very disappointed, I had to had Naga pickle to make it more hot.

Lamb curry wasn't that nice, lamb tasted not nice. Chicken and spinach curry was so over salted that I couldn't eat it. The amount of salt was unbelievable...naan bread was the best out of both dishes :(
