Very tasty and not expensive. Pleasant staff and beautiful interior.

Still excellent after all these years. Friendly and welcoming. Curries are authentic and well-spiced. Murgh masala and garlic chilli chicken both always stand out dishes.

Food arrived still hot. It was ordered late in the evening so had a longer delivery time than usual. Will order again, recommended.

If I could give no stars and suggest you get closed down I would. This was hands down the worst Indian food I've ever had. Just terrible.

It was the worst food I ever had. The taste was very bad. The food was spoilt and could not be eaten. I’m going to report the restaurant. Totally not worth it for the money I paid. I would you like the refund of the money I spent on this order. I literally threw the food out even without eating it was that bad. You serve us rotten food and spoilt our health. I’m going to sue the restaurant or you give my entire money back. Get back to me asap..

Food was amazing had a lamb dish and the lamb was just perfect no fatty or tough pieces ! And the quantity is enough to get 2 meals out of a curry and a rice on its self. Couldn't fault our meal in any way !!

Tikka masala felt like there was jelly mixed within, couldn’t eat due to no taste and weird texture. Diet Coke tasted funny - need to change supplier asap! Rice was slimy. Man delivering was friendly.

Order came in a reasonable time Unfortunately forgot to bring the right amount of drinks i ordered but credit where its due they went down to my local shop and brought some and bought them back to me. Unfortunately the currys were not very nice .the korma was not nice nothing like the kormas i know and the rogan was aweful The rice was half decent though Naans were tough as if microwaved Chicken and chips were ok

Would say the worst curry ever but I can't say the amount I tried didn't resemble any curry I know believe me I have many at min 4 a week. I give 1 🌟 because you can't leave less

I’m not one to complain but I really have to on this occasion. The Keema rice came smelling of gone off fish - I don’t eat fish at all so couldn’t go near it. Then the chicken tikka starter tasted of cleaning products or extremely strong citrus/orange, I’m pretty sure any tikka chicken I have had have never tasted of citrus or bleach. I get the same order every time from any Indian takeaway/restaurant and I’m always more than happy, but I won’t be ordering from The Spice House again as I’ve now thrown up anything that I did try just from the smell of the rice and the taste of the chicken. Unfortunate and I’m sorry to leave a negative as I like to leave positive reviews wherever I can.

Food was fresh and hot, full of flavour but too sweet for our pallet. Very easy to order through just eat, free poppadoms was a bonus. Decent value for money, massive portion sizes. Will be back again, but would like recommendations for less sweet dishes. Thank you

The korma was a dodgy brown colour and didn't taste that great if I'm honest

Been ordering from Spice House for years, always good service, always tasty food. Ordered through just eat as their online menu didn't give option to choose between chicken or lamb .... just eat menu did. Will go back to order direct as its free delivery over £20 ( or certainly used to be) and free popadoms

Having moved to Yaxley recently, I had only ever used the place next door until they ran out of chicken shish, which subsequently pushed me next door to the Spice House. SO GLAD THIS HAPPENED!! Two very friendly old boys, happy to sort you anything on or off menu. My go to of Chicken shish on naan was spot on. Freshly made naan (not out of a packet). Chicken was cooked to perfecrion. The chilly sauce was actually worth shouting about and wasn't just vaguely spicy dish water like some and their own mint sauce on the side was delicious. Will definitely make this place my go to from now on. Looking forward to working my way through the menu. Highly recommended 👌

Ordered collection through just eat, the order didnt turn up but showed as collected, so i called the restaurant and the man on the phone was so rude, he told me i was lying and it was my fault not his fault and something about his driver going home at 10, bare in mind i had ordered at 9,anyway it resulted im me getting very angry back with him telling me he wont be giving me a penny back

After refusing to drive in to sort out their mistake, they said they would pick up the wrong food in half an hour (I will not be hiding my breath). Appalling customer service it is now 8.30pm will be 9pm by the time they get here( if they are on time) when we ordered at half 6. We would have understood if they just sorted it and weren't so rude. avoid horrible food horrible people

Stupidly late considering it’s a 10 minute drive. When I rang up the person I spoke to didn’t seem to have a clue what was going on and just said “Driver is on his way”. 20 mins later he returns up. Food is way below what I was expecting. Korma was runny, naan was hard and flavourless.. just disappointed.

After being over an hour late the restaurant wouldn’t give my money back. Would not order from them again!

Appalling service. Took an hour and 50 minutes from placing order to it being delivered - 30 minutes over the estimated time. Called the restaurant to get an update on my order and was hung up on twice mid conversation. Had a text to say the order had been delivered 15 minutes before actually receiving it. Very disappointed.

This is a mixed bag review. The poppadums were very stale and didn't have that crunch. The lime pickle which I paid for contained mostly rock hard skin and was a very tiny pot to start with. The 2 rice's were of completely unequal amounts. The curries were tasty though. Sadly, my first and last try of this curry house.

The food quality is absolutely horrendous. I will never order again with this people. Just eat has to consider taking them off your list . Horrible food

I don’t usually write reviews but I cannot explain my sheer disappointment and waste of nearly £40 , first of all the food took 2 hours to arrive, which sometimes can happen but all the food was lukewarm, half of the dishes where missing, the lamb bhuna was absolutely saturated in oil and the chicken korma was a strange orange colour with no flavour at all, my daughters chicken nuggets were undercooked, to be honest the food was completely disgusting. When contacting spice house, they said they will add our missing items to our next order which is unhelpful because I certainly will never be ordering from here again or recommending it to anyone.

Just the best. That’s pretty much all I can say. There are no doubts some decent Indian restaurants in Peterborough but this place is just a cut above the others in food taste.

The second time I have had problems with this restaurant. Delivered the wrong side dish and salad and sauce was missing. I rang to query and was told they were ring back when the driver returned in a few minutes. I had to ring back twice in the next hour. The man I spoke to made no apology and was very dismissive. No offer of any refund or replacement of my main which was of course cold by now. I won’t be using them again.

When my food arrived I was told by the driver he was not allowed to come up to my flat?! So I had to her dressed and go down and get it. When I called the place they were confused by this, but the manager wasn’t in and would contact me today... this didn’t happen. When I got my food it was not only cold, but a completely different dish. I ordered a tikka and got a korma which I couldn’t stomach - the sauce tasted like sweet and sour from the Chinese with coconut mixed in and everything else was greasy and I wasted £20 for bad service and food. Suppose that’s what I get for wanting to try a new curry place.

Order was wrong so called through and was told they are busy so will call us back in 5minutes well no call came. Food was also bearly warm and sauce was watery. 1st time it has been a poor meal. But last time of using them. Good Customer Service costs very little.

Ordered my usual (Pathia) and this one was ridiculously hot. Couldn’t eat it. I order this curry from different places and it was such a disappointment. Taste was average and ruined by the chopped spicy chilli chucks in it.

The pizza was under cooked and full of cheese but the poorest thing on the menu was the curry. The amount of coconut in the korma was the single worst idea I have seen a chef make, it was like I was eating the cocnunt and nothing else. Then there was the unnesserly sweet masala, tasting like someone dropped a pot of suger in on accident and tryed to correct it with honey. My friend said the burger was good tho.

Very nice food but quite a long wait. The app suggested the delivery would be an hour and ten mins but actually took just over an hour and a half.

Burgers both had no salad in them.
