We stopped here for the night in the campervan loads of space level, car park and very easy access to a large set of fields where the dogs could run The pub itself does not serve food but serves a good selection of beers and both the staff and the locals were super friendly We used to stop at the bridge inn which is just a few hundred yards away along with a canal. But this has now closed and I think actually we prefer this place instead. Highly recommended if you're staying in a campervan

Decor was pleasant enough at the pub. We came in for a drink after a long hot walk and prices were reasonable. Unfortunately I spilt my drink all over the table, floor and my husband. In an attempt to clean it up with no members of staff visible, I grabbed some toilet paper to try and mop it up. When a staff member came back, I went up to the bar to see if I could get a cloth/blue roll. With no sense of urgency the staff member totally ignored me in favour of chatting to workman who'd already got drinks. Eventually she gave us some blue roll not even caring about what had just happened. Later I heard her muttering about us taking toilet paper out of the bathroom. I returned the precious toilet paper back to the bathroom and safe to say we don't fancy coming back with this level of hospitality.

Well I wish I wasn't writing this review but I must as a health and safety piont of view . Saturday 1st March 2024 my partner and I were in there area visiting old haunts . It's was a busy afternoon of locals thought great to see a local still being used .. We were there for bout hour in that time 3 guys of mid 20s were messing about at the bar .. but then the person on the bar decide to spray Air freshners at the guys .. which set of an asthma attack on my partner .. we had to leave on leaving the bar man was collecting our glasses and I did piont out his actions on spraying airfreshner in a confined space was irresponsible.. and we were having to leave because of that. His answer was I only sprayed a bit .. Really .. Childish behaviour .. is not the way to run a pub .. Since this happened on Saturday afternoon the rest of our day was spent recovering for my partner.

So disappointed. The front door was locked but no sign to tell visitors to go round the back. Luckily a local man, who was passing by, pointed us in the right direction. The pub seemed as if it was closed. The table was sticky and the carpet hadn't been hoovered. There was a wood burning stove but it didn't really make much impression on the large bar area. Definitely no lunch on offer, so we left after a pint of HPA, which was very good. Such a shame because we had been led to believe there would be a roaring fire and a lovely lunch on offer.

Good local pub and the town was the friendliest place I've been and this definitely extends to this pub. Went with a group of friends during our canal holiday, we all like to try different beers which was great because they had an interesting German. The only drawback was being hungry I hoped to order food but the kitchen wasn't open at the time but the owner kindly offered to see if they would start early, which I declined. Very good pub.

We were just passing this little pub on our way from Droitwich to Worcester, when we noticed a sign saying two mains for £10, we'll we stopped and we're greeted by a friendly server who sat us at a table, the menu was more than sufficient and was all home cooked, we were a little dubious but the food was awesome, I chose the pasta dish which was full of flavour and plentiful, even came with a fresh salad and garlic bread and my partner chose the chicken breast which was topped with bacon, BBQ sauce and melted cheddar, again with fresh salad and chip, wonderful and all for a tenner, even the beer was only £3 a pint, what more does one want, will be coming here again and again, thank you!

Having moored our narrow boat in the village we walked up to the pub full of expectation having read reviews and looked at the website. Unfortunately the pub doesn't open on Mondays or Tuesdays a local told us. To be sure a couple of us walked down to find an empty car park, doors locked and tables on chairs. The 9 of us then tried the Bridge and they weren't serving food that day either! Thankfully we managed to get a takeaway from Droitwich, King Kebab and burger if you to are left with no options in the village

Came here as part of a big group of cyclists on an extremely wet day, and were very pleased to see a large covered wooden shelter at the side of the pub - presumably installed to accommodate smokers, but ideal as an extra space for anyone who wants/needs to be outside the pub itself. The shelter had plenty of tables and comfy chairs, very welcome ceiling-mounted heaters and even its own bar (which wasn't actually in operation that afternoon but maybe would be at night). Those of us who arrived first ended up waiting a long time for the rest of the group to appear, but that was no hardship at all as we were able to enjoy a few pints while we waited! There were a couple of ales on the bar indoors, plus all the other drinks you might want (including a coffee/cappuccino machine) and bar snacks too. Staff (and fellow drinkers) were friendly and didn't seem to mind the place being taken over by us!

THIS is how pubs should be. Friendly locals, reasonably priced beer and log fires. No food smells as in those snobby restaurants posing as pubs (where you are as welcome to drink a pint without ordering food as a fart in a spacesuit). A short walk to the canal and a convenient little shop on the main street. We could park near the tent and have a contained campfire and have a party into the night with no neighbours. Water was available, but had to suffer festival type toilets. We had tents, transit vans and caravans and all were allowed on the site,in a group together. Ideal place for a get together. We spent Saturday night testing out the camp site behind the pub to see if it was a suitable place to bring the kids. After setting up our tent we went to the pub for a drink with out 2 dogs and were made to feel very welcome. We spent an enjoyable afternoon/early evening sitting outside in the extremely comfortable smoking area chatting to other campers. The Landlord and Lady were also very friendly and joined everyone for a chat when they could. We felt as comfortable there as we do in our village local at home. Speed the Plough is my local, but we don't go there any more. The pub has unfortunately changed hands a few times in the last couple of years and it shows. The atmosphere in what used to be a nice old country pub has deteriorated rapidly. It's noisy, there's bad language and last time I was there I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. It's not often I give a "terrible" review but Speed the Plough needs to take itself by the scruff of the neck and do something to make people welcome. I haven't tried the food since the last change of hands but at least the terrible pies are no more. And the line of trees outside have for some reason been cut down leaving a bleak view of the car park.

Popped in yesterday evening after seeing signs saying Bathams beer was on tap. A fairly warm may evening and we walked into a room with a roaring log fire with a few of the locals sat in a circle staring at it, fair enough but the atmosphere was as if you had walked into someones living room and were out of place.ordered Bathams £3 a pint ok but a little cloudy. Asked for scotch and was offered jack daniels? After feeling uncomfortable in the room we moved outside on to some comfy chairs and felt alor better until we were informed they were smoking chairs and made to feel unwelcome there aswell. We then moved to the bar where it was fine apart from the flies. On the whole a poor show but what was very strange was several of the people who seemed to have something to do with the running of the place had very strong traveller accents a very very odd set up indeed. Visit if you want a pint in a surreal atmosphere....carry on to the Galton at himbleton is my advice

Those are the three words that spring to mind when thinking about this pub. Having been stuck for hours on the M5 we decided to pull off at Junction 6 and head cross-country to Birmingham. This delightful country pub is set in the small village of Tibberton in glorious Worcestershire countryside. You can be assured of a warm welcome from the owners whose speciality is pies. This was our second visit after first finding it last year. Food quality is excellent and the atmosphere and surroundings just perfect for a nice evening out.
