Absolutely disgusted to have received the food we ordered, I ordered a donner kebab wrap which I’m not sure what they actually gave me but it certainly was not Donnor meat, resembled what I think a shredded rat would look like, and was literally so thin like basically was just a plain tortilla wrap, DISGUSTING. Pizza dough was undercooked and was not edible at all and the chips were raw. Having rang the restaurant to complain, I was spoken to disgusting, refused a refund and was expected to come out and collect a fresh order and was told the wait time 1hour 30 minutes- for a pizza and kebab wrap And bearing in mind This was a complaint I’d expect my order to prepared fresh right away. had a young child in bed which was explained and I asked if they could deliver as it would be about 11:30pm by the time I could go collect my order which was not possible with a child. The restaurant had absolutely no remorse about this. Disgusted to say the least I expected better customer service and a refund bearing in mind the food I received was all wrong / undercooked and got binned. and the customer service was shocking. I definitely do not recommend to anyone Would rate 0 if I could

Ordered tonight and tried their version of an indian pizza. We order 1 balti and 1 korma pizza with chips. The delivery arrived one hour late which we thought was a little longer than expected given that its mid week ( wednesday ) and had an 1 hour 45 min wait. Spoke to the store after approx 30mins later than expected and when I asked how much longer would my delivery be all I was told "I dont know, driver isnt here, ok bye" I was pretty shocked at the response I waited another 20mins and called again. This time, same guy, took some details and said "driver is out, will be with you as soon as possible". I thought well aslong as it's hot il wait until the 2 hour mark. Driver arrive after 1 hour 45min. Food was really hot, almost as if he only just left the store as I'm only approx 10 mins drive away. But when I started to tuck in, the balti sauce on the pizza didnt taste right, definately not an indian balti (I've tried various in blyth and even this stores balti in the past) toppings and cheese were ok but the pizza base was not cooked properly. You could taste the undercooked dough. This was on both pizzas. We recieved free poppadoms but I dont know why as these were soft and chewy as apposed to crispy. The best thing about this takeaway was the chips. Sorry to say. I wont be ordering from here again. Should have gone to mcdonalds.......

We've given this takeaway several chances - mainly because they offer a tapas style special meal with smaller dishes - but I think they've used them all up. My first bad experience was a year or so ago when the chicken in a meal we had seemed to be undercooked. I developed food poisoning a day or two later and I suspect - although I can't be certain - that it was due to that. Hearing that they had changed hands we tried them again and the meal was ok, but pretty average. A few weeks later we placed another order by phone and we asked for Chicken Korma and Chicken Korai, among other items. I collected the meal and when I got home I unpacked the bag and found there were 2 Chicken Kormas. I phoned them and they said they would deliver the correct item in half an hour. I declined their offer as the other food would be cold so they told me they would give me a free curry next time. I ordered a meal a couple of weeks later and reminded them of the last mistake when I went to collect. They denied any knowledge so I just paid up as I was hungry and the food was ready. Tonight, I ordered a tapas by phone and was told it would be ready to collect in half an hour. I arrived to collect it and waited a further half hour - clearly they hadnt started cooking until I arrived. When I got the food home it was awful. The Chicken Tikka Korai was extremely salty and there was so much red food colouring in it that it was the colour of port wine. My wife's Chicken Tikka Balti Saag was an even darker maroon colour with little sign of spinach (saag). On the plus side, the onion bhajis were very good. But they've had their chance. They won't see me again.

Me and my partner have just had a takeaway delivered.....chicken tikka naan and it was absolutely rotten. Couldn’t even finish it.....best part about it was the salad and the delivery driver. Shame on you spartan spice never again.

We got a takeaway from here at the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. I had the tikka meat masala with pilau rice and peshwari naan. There was plenty of sauce and meat and everything was hot and tasty. My only criticisms were I found a small bone in a piece of the meat and my naan was a bit burnt but it still tasted good. My friends enjoyed theirs, too.

We ordered a takeaway last night and had curries. The portion sizes were huge, the chicken tasted beautifully grilled and the sauce was to die for. The only negative I would give is that we ordered a chicken tikka naan, to be honest it was quite tasteless with very little chicken in it. I have had chicken tikka naans from elsewhere and they have had a lot of flavour and taste but I unfortunately found that one quite bland. But, that wouldn’t stop me from reordering and I would definitely recommend to others. Thanks for a lovely meal :)

I would recommend that you try this gem of a take away, in particular the sizzler kebab with garlic chips 😊😊😊

Spartan spice are like us all. We sometimes make a mistake. When something goes wrong their customer service is world class. I couldn't be more impressed with the way any difficulty is handled.

Dreadful! From the luminous RED mango sauce, lime pickle with raw peas and carrot, curdled cucumber raita with cucumber left in chunks too big...to the yellow sauce - over flavoured with turmeric meaning instead of a vibrant fresh sauce you have an earthy dullness. Biryani was served with a watery curry sauce instead of a luscious vegetable curry and a chefs special with a watery sweet sauce. Absolute waste of money! Worst curry it has ever been my misfortune to order.

We had a takeaway from here last night and it was pretty poor. Huge chunks of chill and garlic, tiny pieces of meat and horribly doughy naan. First and last time we'll order from there.

I love the food from Spartan. All tastes freshly made. Great starters & nann breads. However my favourite was the lamb samosas, which they have recently changed from being very nice, large homemade ones to measly tiny frozen ones. They used to be value for money but now they charge more for what is essentially 2 samosas out of a bumper frozen pack. It's cost cutting like this which can cause people to turn their loyalties elsewhere. Perhaps its just their current chef staffing problems that has caused them to look for easier options, although this doesn't account for their sudden price hikes.

The Tandoori shop is a small counter at which you order food to take away; there’s no seating except a bench on which to wait for your order. You do wait (e.g., 20 minutes), which is fine because the food is made when you order. For a small takeaway place, the menu is huge: every assortment of Indian fare you could want—plus pizza. You can pick the proteins sauce, type of rice. The food is good and a good value (even if there’s more sauce than protein)—especially the naan.
