The food was great, but we came in at 12:30 when the restaurant was quiet. The staff were kind but seemed keen to get us moving along once we had eaten.

The food was tasty. Portions are very filling. Love the small cozy atmosphere. Lovely to finally have a Korean restaurant to visit although small but big enough. LOVE it and the FOOD!!!!

The restaurant had a very pleasant atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and polite. I especially liked the decor in the traditional Japanese style. The music playing in the background was nice too. The salmon sushi I had to start with was very beautifully arranged and it had a very good smell and texture. It was a kick when I dipped it in the soy sauce. The final dish I had was chicken katsu and it looked just as good as it tasted! The rice was so fluffy and warm and was rolled up in the cute form of a bun. I would like to extend my utmost thanks and gratitude for the food and service. Domō arīgato! I hope to dine with you again very soon.

I ordered korean fried spicy chicken and crispy fried chicken and chicken fried rice. The chicken was dry and chewy, and the rice was overcooked and it tasted like nothing. Not worth going back again.

We love this place super friendly staff, great food love the yaki soba we pop in once a month for a little treat, gyoza are fantastic we had sweet potato tempura and that was lovley too, thank you soya

I loved the way we could cook our food on our table as and when we wanted to. Very helpful people, tasty,.full of flavour. Kids said it was the best sushi ever...Kids happy,. parents happy...will defo come back again.

Service was attentive although the staff were wearing face masks which I didn’t like. I appreciate they probably do it out of consideration for customers but I don’t see the need and if I’m talking to someone I prefer to see their face. The food was mainly very nice. Prawn tempura, sashimi, nigiri all very nice but my beef bibimbap was very heavy on the rice and had hardly any meat in it. This was my main course so was quite disappointing hence the three stars.

Ate here at lunch and my stomach has been hurting all day since and I’m travelling soon. Feel like the food wasn’t prepared in a hygienic way the way my stomach is cramping. Service always rushed. Giving me the bill when I haven’t even asked for it to get me out the door quicker. It was hailing outside so I had to stay until it stopped. I have eaten here a few times to give it a chance but every time it kind of disappoints me I’m afraid. After my tummy ache I won’t be coming back. A big thumbs down.

Second visit there, first time a year ago it was good...this time we made a booking the day before, got there to celebrate a birthday and they didnt have the booking , they didnt try to accommodate they just said nobody told us you booked, the whole situation forced us to go else where

We ordered a takeaway and after 1.5 hours of waiting (during which the estimated delivery time had long been and gone!), we called to see where it was. They initial denied even taking the order but eventually admitted that they had the order, but hadn't even started cooking it yet. They offered to "start it right away". Just ridiculous. We won't be eating here or ordering from here again.

The best sushi place in Surrey. Been coming here for years and should have posted a review before. The food is reliably excellent.

Food is always great and we visit often. Large variety of dishes to try such as bento, korean bbq, sushi, sashimi and more.

There was a mix up on the order. Got delivered somewhere else. The restaurant staff were very kind and re-made the order and shipped it out to us in under 20 minutes. The sushi was very nice as well. Will be ordering again!

Lovely food, delicious and very clean! I think Soya is the best Korean/Japanese resturant in Woking. I am a regular customer since 2018 and they never dissapointed me. Totally recommend!

The food is very good my family love it so much. Just I noted the waitress watched her watch in front of us from time to time since we walked in the restaurant. Maybe it is me too senstive we arrived the restaurant just an hour before its closing time in the afternoon. This made me feel rushed to finish the meal.

We went for lunch and had the Korean bbq. Its just meat and rice and no options for sides the menu has no sides listed. I asked for kimchi which they had and they then suggested bean sprouts. Service is not welcoming and definitely does trike to give suggestions. We ended up ordering two bbq Portions each because the one is not enough.

For the money I paid for, I consider the quality and quantity of the food are very good indeed. Both the rice bowl and are delicious and superb.

After New Malden branch closed down we visited Woking already few times. Never disappointed with food or service. Prawns and veggies in tempura to die for. 🍤

Soya Woking Overall 🌟🌟🌟🌟 We visited there last week during Easter Holiday. Not very busy when we arrived here so you don’t need to book the table if you want to have dinner in there. We order: Superior Platter 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Including:8 Pcs sashimi, 8 pcs nigiri, tobiko gunkan, 8 pcs tuna & avocado rolls; Served with miso soup. And they gave us one extra miso soup for us which is very welcome and very friendly! The whole thing is very delicious and very filling. And the price is amazing and worth to pay. All sashimis are great and taste fresh. Kimchi pancake 🌟🌟 A little bit too dry and some of the pancakes are a bit burnt in another side. Korean Spicy Crispy Squid 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Spicy crispy Squid is my all time favourite! 🤪 and it taste really good! You can see they look golden colour which is very perfect 😍 they put some chilli power on top so it wasn’t very spicy but you will like it. They also provide some salt with chilli powder mixed together and it is really good with the squid. Beef Dolsot Bibimbap 🌟🌟🌟 It taste nice but not many beef inside there and I barely can’t taste it. They mixed it with the spicy sauce which is if you don’t want it you can just skip it but I recommend you to add on some cause it tastes good and won’t be too spicy. And you can see they mixed with some onions, garlic & vegetables and egg also. Overall is pretty good. All together cost nearly £60 which is pretty acceptable price. It is not easy to find a good quality of Japanese food in UK so I am very lucky that I found it! Will definitely come visit again and highly recommended for everyone who loves Japanese cuisine!!!

Best Pan-Asian restaurant in Woking. Bibimbap always tasty, korean bbq on the table is a good laugh and sushi always impresses. Go for the England roll. Can get busy and parking is a nightmare but worth a walk from central carparks if you are after a good meal. Update 2023: Still the best Pan-Asian restaurant in Woking!

Small, cosy and your run off the mill Korean restaurant offering do it yourself barbeque or premade dishes. Can't go wrong with either to be honest. Service was brilliant and the food was brilliant! Would highly recommend if you're in the area.

Ordered a Katsu Curry.... it arrived cold and was an HP Brown Sauce Curry. Pure vinegar no garlic, no ginger and the sauce is literally dark brown... can't understand it. I'll make my own next time.

First time experience wasn't bad, food were quite tasty. I love the Spicy Beef Soup. There are quite a generous amount of beef and the taste is just right.

Amazing food, reasonably priced, rapid speed. If you want a wide selection of tasty Asian food and are in the area, soya never disappoints. Japanese pancake, Sushi, katsu curry and noodles are our personal favourites but we have never had anything below great here in over 10 times. 👏

The risk of a tedious journey stuck on the M25 sent us to Woking last minute and we were glad to be able to book Soya for an early dinner. The choice is somewhat bewildering and this immediately sent alarm bells ringing. It's been long established that eateries can generally achieve much better care and quality when they focus on only a select range of dishes. We chose across the menu to suit differing preferences at the table. It was all prepared adequately, but nothing to write home about. Tempura prawns were certainly on the thickly coated side, taking away from the delicate seafood flavour. The sweet chilly chicken resulted in a surprisingly big portion for a starter, but had good flavour, even if the little nuggets were on the harder side of tender chicken. The ramen offers a huge portion again and was completely inoffensive but also utterly unexciting. This also afflicted the Korean BBQ and Dolsot Bibimbap, which made for a rather repetitive eating experience that never fully delivered. Soya served us well for impromptu dinner plans avoiding gridlock and probably in its genre is still a decent place. That said, I'd strongly recommend that they focus on a few things to do really well to offer something that truly excites customers. The flavour, cookery, and dining experience suffered from the myriad approach.

Korean food was good but whatever you do don't order the fried chicken, which is actually just stir fried chicken

Have been to soya many times and the food is always very good. Latest time the staff weren't overly helpful or friendly. No high chair available, which made it very tricky (so won't be coming again with my child unfortunately). However, the food was very tasty and enjoyed the extra bits that came before main (free tempura and miso soup). Service was quick and the did give us a larger table as we had kids with us.

Criminally underrated restaurant, the authentic Korean BBQ experience is amazing. Highly recommended for quality food in Woking.

It's our first time to visit this restaurant and we were not disappointed. In fact it's highly recommended. The food is yummy and the prices are reasonable. We will not hesitate to go back numerous times.

Pleasant little restaurant, we didn't make use of the in table BBQ but rather we all 4 of us had bibimbaps, a Korean dish served in a heated bowl, it was delicious, served quickly too. Reasonably priced too. If I were local I would be back more often.

Very poor take away sushi food in our opinion, and compared to other places. Having been looking forward to a treat we find that the sushi you get from the sainsburys bar in brookwood is actually better sadly. Extremely disappointed with both value for money and food quality

My usual Japanese takeaway was closed so ordered from SoyaWoking.It wasn't bad,tasted nice but the portions for the price were disappointing in comparison to the other place.The pieces were smaller,fish thinner,just not what I expected. Also, when you order something that's got a "Family" description it it and costs a bit more,you usually expect it to feed a family.The platter we got would feed 1.5 people.We ordered some extras as well (there were 2 adults and 1 child) and we were still hungry.Very expensive snack I would say.

I’m an old customer. Overall the food is very nice. I like their mackerel bento and it tastes delicious. The delivery is very quick, normally within 1 hour. The boss is friendly.

I had the worst experience in this resaurant, Extemely rude staff and terrible service. Definiately not recommending anybody. Talking about food I didn't finished it, I asked for korean fried chicken, it came out dry and seems like it was cooked day before. I am very dissapointed with all the meals. As I didn't eat the main meal, I don't wanted to pay for it. But I felt uncomfotable as there were few customers next to me and I end up paying. I did not want to create a scene. Definiately not coming back again.

First impression of the staff was rude and unprofessional.. Let’s talk about the food the food was utterly disgusting, dry and I had stomachace after few bites and I didn’t even finished the food. If there was no star rating I would be giving no star rating. I would not recommend to anyone. Not coming back again. The comments on the google looks like people have been paid for. 4.6 rating what a JOKE! To everyone who’s reading this please think twice before you head to this restaurant.

Service was a little questionable dining in. Staff were a bit rude. One staff literally just stopped talking to us at one point mid order and went off somewhere. Same person also poured beer everywhere while serving and walked off. As for the food, the okonomiyaki wasn’t okonomiyaki (No aonori or cabbage). Tasted nice though. Katsu curry was also the wrong kind of curry, but the katsu was nice and crispy. A bit disappointed sadly :(

Once again, Soya has delivered a spectacular gastronomic experience. Over the past 5/6 years, we have been ordering sushi from this place and the quality and effort/care never ceases to impress. I commend the owners & staff on their efforts and hope that the unrivaled quality will serve as a beacon for any foodies wanting an authentic Japanese/Korean experience when visiting Woking. Not a great Katsu chicken, sauce taste like tomato ketchup mixed with soya sauce, no hint of curry at all. I ordered from somewhere else cheaper and better.

Order via just eat, food was terrible. We place the order at 7pm food arrived at 9.25pm . Will never order againg from them.

Ordered from here tonight for the second time at 8pm, and was told it would take an hour or so to deliver. No problem for me, though I was quoted £1 more delivery than was on the recent flyer, which they did correct when I pointed it out. 80 mins after ordering they called to say it would be late and would I like a complimentary drink, which I accepted and was told it would be another 10-15 minutes. Order finally arrived 2 hours and 15 minutes late, without the complimentary drink, so very dissatisfied with customer service. Food was brilliant though, couldn't fault it.

Sushi was good but katsu curry is a bit of a lie.. tiny pot of vinegar tasting 'katsu' sauce didn't even taste like how you'd expect & served cold.. not what you expect for the money you're paying 👎

**After several exchanges with Soya, they have now admitted they are under new management. Now I can understand why the steep contrast from my many previous dining experiences with Soya** In my first review of Soya, I gave them 5*. They used to have excellent service and greet us by name whenever we rang and be very personable whenever we visited in person. This last experience was a complete contrast to my previous experiences. These are my reasons why I am now giving Soya 1*: 1) Dishes either too bland or too salty, flavours are no longer authentic. Sushi and Okonmiyaki lacked the unami taste the eel sauce would usually offer. Prawn rolls were bland even with the sauce provided. Kanpoongi extremely salty – needed lots of water and rice to down it! Also lots of lemon chunks in it, instead of chicken pieces – shock to the tastebuds and misleading! 2) Skimping on ingredients - No sauce on England roll and very little mayo on the Okonomiyaki. The Okonomiyaki was also flat as a crepe! An authentic okonomiyaki is usually about 2cm thick! We also only got one prawn roll with only two tiny prawns in it as well. For that price, we can usually expect two rolls at others restaurants serving twice the amount of prawns. The worst example of skimping on ingredients was on the Oyster Stew which you’ll read about next. 3) We purposely ordered the 'Oyster Stew' over the 'Seafood Stew'. We received what appeared to be the Seafood Stew (as there were mixed seafoods and we recognised it from a previous order). I informed them about this and they told me what I received was the Oyster Stew. They explained the Seafood Stew has no Oysters but the Oyster Stew has both mixed seafood and one oyster. The JustEat menu clearly called it 'Oyster Stew' with no mention of mixed seafoods. I said I only got one oyster in the stew and they said that was correct as oysters are expensive. Quite upset at this point, they agreed to give me an exchange for a stew with a few more Oysters. I gave them back the old stew. I opened the new stew and there was just two oysters, same veg, and less soup. They basically gave me the same stew but took out the mixed seafood. So very disappointed and what a waste of petrol and my money. I can buy a whole giant bag of frozen oysters for the same price! I can also buy two very delicious freshly made stews from the Korean supermarkets in New Malden for the same price too – and with much more content. I felt completely conned of my money. This was the worst of all the dishes and the biggest disappointment of all. 4) Delivery guy was rude and unhelpful - he didn't believe we had our address right as he couldn't find us. He went down one street too and managed to get lost and very flustered. He kept telling me to come out to the main road to find him. In the current pandemic or not, I didn't think that was a very reasonable ask. He was not apologetic or even remotely embarrassed when he realised he completely missed our turning and how close he actually were to us at his initial location. I regret giving him a tip in my payment. We will not be giving Soya another chance unless their management changes again. They were not one bit apologetic to any one of these issues.

The food is honestly the best! This has been our go to place and haven’t regret it at all!! Thank you so much for being so amazing and making our evening a great one!!
