Friendly, hip coffee and light food place in the center of town. On our visit they were struggling with ingredients after a busy bank holiday, but suggested what was possible and cooked up a fabulous avocado, poached-egg and sourdough breakfast with dynamite chili jam. Big bowl of granola roasted with coconut yogurt and honey drizzled berries was impossible to stop eating! Smooth strong espresso, fresh squeezed orange juice. Breakfast doesn’t get any better than this.

Very long wait for food you could get in any brunch place. One of the poached eggs was completely cooked through. Weirdly my granola bowl took longer to arrive than my husband’s cooked meal. Only meat is prosciutto on the menu so it’s really a pescatarian place though even that is at most smoked salmon. Bit too political with the decor too.

The cafe decor is atypical, but I love it. And the team is really friendly. The coffee was excellent. In summary, I recommend this excellent cafe.

A very popular coffee-bar serving excellent food. Open to the street so not stuffy. Staff friendly and efficient, premises spotless. Lots of vegan offers. Altogether very pleasing.

We had a little time whilst in Bournemouth, so took a walk around the City Centre and shops, before heading to Wimborne Minster. Our visit was to see a Blues gig on the previous evening. We had booked our hotel to be convenient for the BIC, and it was a 12 minute walk away from the centre. We wandered around for about an hour and then decided to enjoy some refreshments. There are many, mostly well known, chain coffee houses, but we chose here because it was local, independent and slightly quirky. The service was good but the coffee was slightly disappointing. We had seen the publicity for “Bad Hand Coffee”; a locally based coffee-roaster. This coffee looked good but was not strong (and bitter) enough for our tastes. That was a shame, because this place has all the other credentials to be something that is better than “the chains”.

My partner and I came for dinner and we had a fantastic experience. The service was quick and very friendly and the food was so delicious. We also had two of the cocktails which were so cute and well presented and very tasty.
