We wanted to try this place but the building manager told us this place has been closed for more than a month.

Tried many of their dishes and it really tasted similar to asian food. One of the best asian store I had while in Glasgow.

The chicken curry rice is kinda terrible as it’s only with 2 piece of chicken with lots of curry sauce.

Staff are always very welcoming and generous. Portion sizes are good and we always leave very full. I recommend the chilli pan me, hokkien mee, Malaysian beef curry with coconut rice and crispy pork belly. Lemon iced tea too! 10% discount if you pay with cash.

The best Malaysian food you can get away from home! The service is also 10/10. The atmosphere is also good. Definitely worth a try and will come back again for sure!!

Fantastic Malaysian food experience. I had a ‘medium bowl’ of Malaysian Brisket Curry (£14) which also contained Aubergine and green beans, with some coconut rice (£3). The portion was easily enough for two people. The brisket was meltingly tender and the sauce was incredibly tasty with plenty of depth. I also had a roti which was served with a mini pot of curry to dip (£3.20), which was excellent and flaky. They also offer a free spiced milk tea, like a cold chai that was really good as well. Service was prompt and polite. I would definitely go again and will be recommending to anyone who visits the city.

Having experienced many Malaysian restaurants, I can confidently say that this is the best authentic Malaysian restaurant I’ve ever tried. The flavors are true to home, capturing the essence of Malaysian cuisine perfectly. The service is fantastic, with staff who are attentive, friendly, and make you feel right at home. An added bonus is the karaoke setup, which offers a fun and lively atmosphere if you feel like singing your heart out after a delicious meal. As a Malaysian, I am proud and so happy that such authentic Malaysian food still exists in the UK. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving genuine Malaysian flavors and a wonderful dining experience.

The taste is really fragrant and the taste is suitable. The Rasa Utong is extremely delicious. It is a restaurant worth recommending. In particular, the service staff can speak Chinese, and they also provide small drinks.

One of the best malaysian food in UK. The owner is a women from Johor, Malaysia, who has been in the UK for 20+ years. She's super friendly, the foods are authentic, flavourful, and definitely recommended to anyone who miss malaysian's food!

Very delicious!!! We got the 2 person set menu - laksa soup, sweet and sour soup, sweet and sour mixed veg and salt and chilli chicken. Everything tasted lovely, service was really good and we were filled to the brim. Definitely would come back as there’s so many other things on the menu!

Possibly the best Malaysian restaurant I've tasted in the UK. I live in London and have many choices for Malaysia food but none has the taste of home and love. I was in glasgow for 3 days and ate every meal here. Every dish is a amazing but the 鱼头米粉 is the absolute best. The owners and staff are also very friendly. I can't wait to come back here.

Hainanese chicken rice, stir-fried beef river, and tofu and seaweed soup are very good. The lady boss is very talkative and nice!

Went here as a group of three for lunch. We had the Nasi Goreng, Roti and Gravy, Sambal Chicken, Sweet and Sour chicken and a variety of rice. Genuinely enjoyed the visit here although it’s not too great for takeout as the freshness of the food does not come the same in my experience. This is not your everyday palate but those that enjoy Asian food should definitely check out the place out.

Food was lovely, generous servings for a great price. Roti was very good I was only disappointed not to get the little fried fish with my nasi lemak. I also don’t think the rice was coconut rice but can’t really complain that the dish was healthier than normal haha

We ordered the Mee Goreng and the Kam Heong Udon noodles. The mee goreng was pretty good, but the Kam Heong was the star. To live for!

First time we came here to try Spore curry laksa. It was good enough curry laksa but how strange they put char siu pork and Chinese leaves instead of beansprouts? I have never had curry laksa had char siu pork or Chinese leaves in it. Anyway, aside from that it was good taste. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We would recommend friends to come here.

Lovely place, been to there for countless time. Nice southeast Asian style decoration and atmosphere. Warm and great service. One of my favorites is HaiNan chicken rice, highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed by eating there.

A hidden gem in the university of Glasgow it's a must for anyone wishing to sample true Asian style cooking, a great menu packed with choice. If you visit here keep in mind it's level 2 of the building out the lift and turn left.

Never expected such a delicious and authentic Malaysian meal here in Glasgow. We had ordered 4 dishes and all came up to be very amazing. We like the stir-fried rice noodles with fish head the most. The dishes were all well-seasoned using lots of spices. Portions were enough for us to share. Will surely bookmark it and visit every time when we visit Glasgow.

Delicious authentic Malay food in a casual and fun setting, friendly staff and great value what's not to love. Huge portions delicious laksa and hokkien mee on our first of what I'm sure will be many visits.

Blown away by how delicious all the foods are. I can't get over their pickled fish soup and nasi lemak. So fresh yet packed with flavour. Very generous portions and fair priced. Ambiance more like korean student cafe but very comfortable for group lunch. There's also karaoke stage for fun. If you're Malaysian or Indonesian, this place is a must go. The owner also very kind and warm. We were given 7up for free. Thank you Mamak!

I ate at Sound Bite for the first time today and I am sorry I haven’t discovered it long before. The menu had several authentic sounding Malaysian dishes which are not very commonly found in Glasgow so I was excited to try the Char Kuey Teow, a stir fry mix of flat noodles with seafood , meat , vegetables and egg. It was absolutely delicious , the best Kuey Teow I’ve ever tasted since I lived in Malaysia. The portion was large, the seafood was sweet and tender and there were two chilli garnishes to add if you wanted to make it spicier. The staff were very friendly and chatty and service was so fast. It was honestly the tastiest Malaysian food I can remember. I’m looking forward to the curry laksa the next time I go ( soon!)

Didn’t know we had such a homey restaurant at Glasgow Uni! With a Malaysian and Chinese food menu this wee gem was a delightful visit! The staff were so welcoming and frequently comes over to chat, the food was delicious and the portions were massive. Not to mention prices were also student friendly! My only criticism was the fact that the live karaoke was a tad bit too loud, making it so that we had to scream over the music to hear each other sometimes, but some people were a big fan of the singing so each to their own! 🍲

Best Chinese food I've had and huge portions too. We were made to feel very welcome and treated with care but not in a pushy way. All four of us had something different, loved it and cleared our plates, despite thinking we wouldn't manage. I would highly recommend.

Some really good food is hidden in the queen margot union. Go up to the 2nd floor and get some really good laksa! Also had the nasi lemak. Very flavorful and yummy.

This is comfort food for Asian students at the Uni. I can say that all the dishes are superb. Two of my favourite menu are Laksa Singapore and also beef brisket. The flavour was so authentic and made me feel like somewhere in Asia.

Visited today for lunch. Service was good, food was lovely. We had the wat dan hor, and malaysian chick curry and also chick satay skewers. Very delicious. We also had milk tea, so good! Would def visit again.
