Well, where do I start. Excellent service and food. We decided to go last minute and checked they had availability. This is a great venue, a double decker bus no less. The guys are amazing and the service is excellent. The food, wow, it was absolutely fabulous! I had the curried mutton and my daughter the brown stew chicken. Both so tasty and portions generous. We also had mac n cheese croquettes and fried dumplings, yummy! I am definitely a returning customer We a planning a monthly visit at least here going forward. If you haven't been, get yourself there. I promise you won't be disappointed and take your hungry belly.

Finally got to try this quirky Caribbean restaurant today. Venue and service were impeccable! So friendly and attentive. Food tasted absolutely amazing!! The mutton curry was to die for and we were spoilt for choice with Plant based options. What an absolute gem! and right on our doorstep! Definitely worth the wait, can’t wait to try again soon :)

Excellent customer service this evening from the booking over the phone to the service we received when we dined ! Food was authentic with great Caribbean flavours. The mains were very filling and we left with a takeaway bag. Good value for money and the added quirks of dining on a bus just added to the overall unique experience!

This little hidden gem is run by a couple whose attention to detail with their guests, their food and the overall location is lovely. Greeted with such a soulful happy energy, even though we was only going to click and collect, we ended up experiencing the "soul inah bowl" vibe and loved every minute of it. Chef Greg Black & Sherry are the most loveliest couple, came up to us and explained the menu, there was a vegan and plant based option. The menu catered of wings, classic curry mutton, chilli loaded fries, all the lovely extras and some other jerk bbq options. The menu wasnt too big to get lost but enough choice to tickle your taste buds. The bus itself is located on the corner of an industrial estate and is a converted double decker, theres an outside patio area which will be lovely in the summer. Upstairs, laminate flooring, LEDs and colourful welcoming warm lighting, a drinks area, a karaoke machine, a group dining table and a few double seating options. On a few of the tables is a mini pool table game which occupied us whilst we waited for the food. It was a quiet Saturday afternoon (deliveries were also being cooked too) but there was only the two of us eating in at time but we waited no longer than 10-15 mins for our food. We ordered Bang'in Chicken Wings which were coated in a Scotch Bonnet special homemade mix sauce, PLENTY of sauce drenching these heavily meaty wings. 10/10 Burger was a buttermilk chicken burger, special house sauce and homemade slaw with fries. Simple yet so flavoursome. Scotch Bonnet Chilli Loaded Fries. Another flavoursome dish, i do wish they made a smaller portion option too, however this a decent sized main if you werent ordering loads of other stuff like we did. Drinks choice was decent. They also have a children's menu. We will definitely be back soon as I want to try the Curry Mutton and some other things. Honestly this place is a credit to Halesowen/Cradley Area. Also caters to those who eat Halal. Thank you Sherry and Greg. Cant wait to pick up that bottle of sauce ive been promised 😍

What a brilliant find! If you’re thinking about going to soul inah bowl- stop thinking and just go. Firstly, the venue is cute and quirky. Secondly the owners are brilliant, Sherrie is so nice and natural, friendly and acts like she actually cares. And the chef- can’t believe I don’t know his name, I do apologise, but what a guy!! He’s fab- and his food is absolutely bangin!!!!! It was soooo nice. Everything we had. We ordered to take home too. Jerk chicken- OMG my fave! The sauce is thick, full of flavour. Rice and peas, light, fluffy. Chicken strips- another OMG, that sauce!!! The dumplings are probably one of the best we’ve had. Brown stew- delicious- absolutely full of flavour and so well cooked! Loaded fries-delicious. Honestly, everything we had was delicious. We will definitely be going back- even though it’s a 40 minute drive from us- it’s well worth it. Lovely experience, great couple and great food!

This is absolutely the place to go for freshly cooked food with nothing but soul and love in the bowl!! The staff and atmosphere is fantastic, cute and cosy. My family and I was made to feel welcome and appreciated from the outset. The food tasted amazing, good value for money. It was our first time here and certainly won’t be our last, having a young child with allergies he was fully catered for so that was a plus. Be it eat in, takeaway-delivery soul inah bowl is definitely worth it.

Wow! What a fantastic experience, unique surroundings and totally chilled. Sherry is a fabulous host friendly and welcoming, now to the food, we were a group of 4 so ordered some starters to share, sticky chicken strips & Mac & cheese croquettes both were absolutely delicious full of flavour not greasy, a great way to start the meal then the mains arrived we ordered Mutton curry, Jerk chicken, Brown stew & Fried buttermilk chicken burger this is the best carribean food ever! The presentation, flavour and most importantly the taste was just perfect we couldn't fault it 4 empty plates were testament to the quality of the food and all this on a converted Midland red bus! Chef Greg works wonders and is a truly talented chef and obviously enjoys his trade. So all in all this is a unique experience with delicious food & perfect hosts, totally recommended for a great night out. We will be back.

Essay alert! What a fantastic little eatery! Spontaneously decided to go out for dinner and after mumbling and grumbling about the 'same old same old' restaurants in our own area (Walsall), I remembered this bus from last year when I collected a takeaway order (Deliveroo driver). Being a lover of Caribbean food and as it's my birthday in two days, I was allowed to rule in favour of eating here so we drove our Kia SOUL the 12 miles to Soul Inah Bowl. Now, I'm the biggest skeptic for miles around owing to being disappointed so many times - reading very positive reviews before trying new places only to get the complete opposite experience to all those positive reviewers. So I admit I wasn't exactly enthused on arrival, and then after seeing how limited the menu was I actually started having regrets - I love me some sides! We do what we usually do when going somewhere new and ordered several things we could share - we do this in case some things are rubbish so we still have other things to eat (yes, that's how often we've had terrible experiences...). Anyhoo, the kid's meal arrived first - southern fried chicken strips and skin-on fries - I nicked a fry and I swear it made my mouth water. I know! How can a fry be that tasty?? Well it had the perfect crisp with the right amount of salt and wasn't dripping in oil - that's a really good start for us! Next arrived the mac & cheese croquettes which I expected to also be dripping in oil, slightly overcooked with the filling leaking out the end (yes I'm looking at you Hungry Horse mozzarella sticks - ugh, heartburn just thinking about them!). Oh! My! Dog! They were big and full and warm and proper nice with the cheese stretchy but not pick-it-off-your-chin-all-night stretchy. The kid made a noise kids shouldn't make and apparently that meant she loved them too - so we ordered some more. Next came our brown stew chicken and (I think I remember...) jerk chicken burger. The stew chicken came with rice and peas, some fried plantain and veg. The rice was the nicest rice and peas I've ever tasted, perfect texture and so much flavour for what I took from past experience as something normally pretty plain. The chicken was so tender (no bones!) and the gravy was so flavourful, I almost refused to share it! The burger came with the crispiest sweet potato fries we've experienced in nearly 13 years of eating out together, the burger was just gone in minutes, I can't even remember what was in it - I was just filling my face at this point. Our dirty fries arrived at some point - one chilli, one pulled pork (massive bowls, meals by themselves!) and the cheeky extra order of croquettes. I preferred the chilli fries and the missus preferred the pulled pork so that worked out well - both were tasty with just the right balance of fries and toppings with none of that nasty goopy gunk pubs call cheese. I ate all mine but she didn't eat all hers but then she's not a fatty and I am. The kid tried a bit of everything and for a fussy *insert-profanity-here* she actually really enjoyed the bits she tried, she soon filled up so she couldn't eat her own fries! Her favourite was the chicken strips, which she didn't even share so I can't even say what they were like...but they were a good size. Despite purposefully over-ordering, as mentioned earlier, we ate everything except the missus left a couple handfuls of the fries from her dirty fries (I picked the best bits out, don't worry). For pudding, only chocolate brownie was on offer which was fine by us. Oh! My! Days and weeks! So soft and very rich, with some very nice and creamy ice cream, chocolate sauce, some sweet biscuity crumbs and (took me by surprise) some mango coulis which actually went all together fantastically well. BUT! WAAIITTT A MINUTE! Afterwards, when chatting with the chef about how amazing his food is, he told us the pudding was entirely plant-based! I literally nearly slid off the seat I was perched on in surprise. I am the LAST person anyone expects to turn vegan but if vegan food tasted as good as that pudding, I'd convert tomorrow! I am usually the first to moan about how bland vegan food is, I swear if chef hadn't said anything, I'd never have known. You can believe me when I say we will return and soon. I have to try the strips, I want more sweet potato fries, I NEED more mac and cheese croquettes and I want more dessert. I also promised to try some more vegan items. Bear in mind, I've tried food from every single Caribbean takeaway and restaurant in Willenhall and Walsall and the one that became my weekly go-to before they stopped delivering, was nothing compared to Soul Inah Bowl. I personally felt like the food we received came out of a fancy restaurant, not a kitchen at the back of a converted bus! The chef is clearly talented and after chatting with him we could tell he was passionate about food and flavours and clearly tricking meat-eaters with vegan surprises! Great food aside - the passion, the obvious effort to impress, the little things like 'clean' crisp fries, fresh coriander and spring onions, the presentation without compromising portion size, just talking with us afterwards - are all things that make us want to come back. If you've only ever had Caribbean food from a takeaway and think it's good, you have to come here. If you've never had Caribbean food, try a takeaway first and THEN come here. You'll understand when you try it.
